130:1Out of the depths do I call upon thee, Jehovah.
130:2Lord, hear my voice; let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
130:3If thou, Jah, shouldest mark iniquities, Lord, who shall stand?
130:4But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
130:5I wait for Jehovah; my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
130:6My soul waiteth for the Lord more than the watchers wait for the morning, more than the watchers for the morning.
130:7Let Israel hope in Jehovah, because with Jehovah there is loving-kindness, and with him is plenteous redemption;
130:8And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
131:0A Song of degrees. Of David.
131:1Jehovah, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in great matters, and in things too wonderful for me.
131:2Surely I have restrained and composed my soul, like a weaned child with its mother: my soul within me is as a weaned child.
131:3Let Israel hope in Jehovah, from henceforth and for evermore.
132:0A Song of degrees.
132:1Jehovah, remember for David all his affliction;
132:2How he swore unto Jehovah, vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:
132:3I will not come into the tent of my house, I will not go up to the couch of my bed;
132:4I will not give sleep to mine eyes, slumber to mine eyelids,
132:5Until I find out a place for Jehovah, habitations for the Mighty One of Jacob. ...
132:6Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah, we found it in the fields of the wood.
132:7Let us go into his habitations, let us worship at his footstool.
132:8Arise, Jehovah, into thy rest, thou and the ark of thy strength.
132:9Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness, and let thy saints shout for joy.
132:10For thy servant David's sake, turn not away the face of thine anointed.
132:11Jehovah hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it: Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne;
132:12If thy children keep my covenant, and my testimonies which I will teach them, their children also for evermore shall sit upon thy throne.
132:13For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his dwelling:
132:14This is my rest for ever; here will I dwell, for I have desired it.
132:15I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her needy ones with bread;
132:16And I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
132:17There will I cause the horn of David to bud forth; I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
132:18His enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
