If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, who is to thee as thy soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods (whom thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Dt. 13:6
If in one of thy cities, which Jehovah thy God hath given thee to dwell there, thou hearest, saying, Dt. 13:12
There are men, children of Belial, gone out from among you, and they have drawn away the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, whom ye have not known; Dt. 13:13
Beware that there be not a wicked thought in thy heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry against thee to Jehovah, and it be sin in thee. Dt. 15:9

And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it. Dt. 20:5

And Joshua the son of Nun sent from Shittim two spies secretly, saying, Go, see the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into a harlot's house, named Rahab, and they lay down there. Josh. 2:1
And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, men have come hither to-night from the children of Israel to search out the land. Josh. 2:2
And the king of Jericho sent to Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that have come to thee, who have come into thy house: for they have come to search out all the land. Josh. 2:3
and they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of Jehovah your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then remove from your place, and go after it; Josh. 3:3
And Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and go over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people. Josh. 3:6
And thou shalt command the priests who bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye come to the edge of the waters of the Jordan, stand still in the Jordan. Josh. 3:8
And it came to pass when the whole nation had completely gone over the Jordan, that Jehovah spoke to Joshua, saying, Josh. 4:1
and command them, saying, Take up hence out of the midst of the Jordan, from the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and carry them over with you, and lay them down in the lodging-place where ye shall lodge this night. Josh. 4:3
that this may be a sign in your midst. When your children ask hereafter, saying, What mean ye by these stones? Josh. 4:6
And Jehovah spoke to Joshua, saying, Josh. 4:15
And Joshua commanded the priests, saying, Come up out of the Jordan. Josh. 4:17
And he spoke to the children of Israel, saying, When your children hereafter ask their fathers, saying, What mean these stones? Josh. 4:21
then ye shall let your children know, saying, On dry land did Israel come over this Jordan; Josh. 4:22
And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor let your voice be heard, neither shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you, Shout; then shall ye shout. Josh. 6:10
And Joshua swore at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before Jehovah who shall rise up and build this city Jericho! In his first-born shall he lay its foundation, and in his youngest son shall he set up its gates. Josh. 6:26
And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth-Aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spoke to them, saying, Go up and spy out the country. And the men went up and spied out Ai. Josh. 7:2
And he commanded them, saying, See, ye shall be in ambush against the city, behind the city: go not very far from the city, and be all of you ready. Josh. 8:4
And our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spoke to us, saying, Take victuals in your hand for the way, and go to meet them, and say to them, We are your servants, and now make a covenant with us. Josh. 9:11

And Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent to Hoham king of Hebron, and to Piream king of Jarmuth, and to Japhia king of Lachish, and to Debir king of Eglon, saying, Josh. 10:3
And the men of Gibeon sent to Joshua, to the camp at Gilgal, saying, Withdraw not thy hand from thy servants: come up to us quickly, and save us and help us; for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the hill-country are gathered against us. Josh. 10:6
And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings have been found, hid in the cave at Makkedah. Josh. 10:17
And Moses swore on that day, saying, The land whereon thy feet have trodden shall assuredly be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever! for thou hast wholly followed Jehovah my God. Josh. 14:9
And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, Jehovah commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. And he gave them according to the commandment of Jehovah an inheritance among the brethren of their father. Josh. 17:4
And the children of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me as inheritance one lot and one portion, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as Jehovah has blessed me hitherto? Josh. 17:14
And Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph, to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only, Josh. 17:17
And the men arose and went away. And Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, and I will cast lots for you here before Jehovah in Shiloh. Josh. 18:8
And Jehovah spoke to Joshua, saying, Josh. 20:1
Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint for yourselves the cities of refuge, whereof I spoke unto you through Moses, Josh. 20:2
and they spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, Jehovah commanded through Moses to give us cities to dwell in, and their suburbs for our cattle. Josh. 21:2
and spoke to them, saying, Return unto your tents with much wealth and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with copper, and with iron, and with clothing, in very great quantity; divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren. Josh. 22:8
And they came to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, to the land of Gilead, and spoke with them, saying, Josh. 22:15
and if we have not done it from fear of this thing, saying, In future your children will speak to our children, saying, What have ye to do with Jehovah the God of Israel? Josh. 22:24
And it came to pass after the death of Joshua that the children of Israel asked Jehovah, saying, Which of us shall go up against the Canaanites first, to fight against them? Judg. 1:1

and Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days), saying, Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother, or shall I cease? And Jehovah said, Go up; for to-morrow I will give them into thy hand. Judg. 20:28
Now the men of Israel had sworn in Mizpah, saying, There shall not any of us give his daughter to the Benjaminites as wife. Judg. 21:1
And the children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation to Jehovah? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to Jehovah to Mizpah, saying, He shall certainly be put to death. Judg. 21:5
And the assembly sent thither twelve thousand men of the most valiant and commanded them, saying, Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabesh-Gilead with the edge of the sword, and the women and the children. Judg. 21:10
But we cannot give them wives of our daughters, for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed be he that giveth a wife to the Benjaminites! Judg. 21:18
And they commanded the sons of Benjamin, saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards; Judg. 21:20
And when she rose up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and ye shall not reproach her. Ruth 2:15
And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi. And they called his name Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David. Ruth 4:17
And it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of Jehovah. 1 Sam. 1:20
And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel; because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father-in-law and her husband. 1 Sam. 4:21
And they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, when the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to kill us and our people. 1 Sam. 5:10
And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do with the ark of Jehovah? tell us wherewith we shall send it to its place. 1 Sam. 6:2
And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjath-jearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of Jehovah; come down, fetch it up to you. 1 Sam. 6:21
And Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, If ye return to Jehovah with all your heart, put away the strange gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and apply your hearts unto Jehovah, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines. 1 Sam. 7:3
Now Jehovah had apprised Samuel one day before Saul came, saying, 1 Sam. 9:15
And they arose early; and when it was about the dawning of the day, Samuel called to Saul on the roof, saying, Arise, that I may send thee away. And Saul arose, and they went out both of them, he and Samuel, into the street. 1 Sam. 9:26
When thou goest from me to-day, thou shalt meet two men by Rachel's sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say to thee, The asses are found which thou wentest to seek, and behold, thy father has dismissed the matter of the asses, and is anxious about you, saying, What shall I do for my son? 1 Sam. 10:2
And he took a yoke of oxen and cut them in pieces, and sent throughout the territory of Israel by the hand of messengers, saying, Whoever comes not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done to his oxen! And the fear of Jehovah fell on the people, and they came out as one man. 1 Sam. 11:7
And Jonathan smote the outpost of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear. 1 Sam. 13:3
But the men of Israel were distressed that day. Now Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth food until evening, and until I am avenged on mine enemies. So none of the people tasted food. 1 Sam. 14:24
Then answered one of the people and said, Thy father strictly adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth food this day; and the people are faint. 1 Sam. 14:28
And they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against Jehovah, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, Ye have acted perversely: roll me now a great stone. 1 Sam. 14:33
And the word of Jehovah came to Samuel, saying, 1 Sam. 15:10
And Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning. And it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and behold, he set him up a monument, and has turned about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal. 1 Sam. 15:12
And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he has found favour in my sight. 1 Sam. 16:22
And David spoke to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that smites this Philistine, and takes away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? 1 Sam. 17:26
And the people told him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that smites him. 1 Sam. 17:27
And Saul was very wroth, and that saying was evil in his sight; and he said, They have ascribed to David ten thousands, but to me they have ascribed the thousands; and what is there more for him but the kingdom? 1 Sam. 18:8
And Saul commanded his servants, Speak with David secretly, saying, Behold, the king has delight in thee, and all his servants love thee: now therefore be the king's son-in-law. 1 Sam. 18:22

But Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David. And Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeks to kill thee; and now, I pray thee, take heed to thyself in the morning, and abide in a secret place and hide thyself; 1 Sam. 19:2
And Saul sent messengers to David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning; and Michal David's wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to-night, to-morrow thou wilt be put to death. 1 Sam. 19:11
And Saul sent the messengers to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may put him to death. 1 Sam. 19:15
And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth by Ramah. 1 Sam. 19:19
And Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, Let Jehovah even require it at the hand of David's enemies! 1 Sam. 20:16
And behold, I will send the lad, saying, Go, find the arrows. If I expressly say to the lad, Behold, the arrows are on this side of thee, take them; then come, for there is peace for thee, and it is nothing; as Jehovah liveth. 1 Sam. 20:21
And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have both of us sworn in the name of Jehovah, saying, Jehovah be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever! And he arose and departed; and Jonathan went into the city. 1 Sam. 20:42
And the servants of Achish said to him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul has smitten his thousands, and David his ten thousands? 1 Sam. 21:11
And they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines fight against Keilah, and they rob the threshing-floors. 1 Sam. 23:1
And David inquired of Jehovah, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And Jehovah said to David, Go and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah. 1 Sam. 23:2
And the Ziphites came up to Saul to Gibeah, saying, Does not David hide himself with us in strongholds in the wood, on the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of the waste? 1 Sam. 23:19
But there came a messenger to Saul, saying, Haste thee and come; for the Philistines have made a raid against the land. 1 Sam. 23:27
And it came to pass when Saul had returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of Engedi. 1 Sam. 24:1
David also arose afterwards, and went out of the cave, and cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king! And when Saul looked behind him, David bowed with his face to the earth, and did obeisance. 1 Sam. 24:8
And David said to Saul, Why dost thou listen to words of men, saying, Behold, David seeks thy hurt? 1 Sam. 24:9
And one of Nabal's young men told Abigail, Nabal's wife, saying, Behold, David sent messengers out of the wilderness to bless our master; and he has insulted them. 1 Sam. 25:14
And the servants of David came to Abigail to Carmel, and spoke to her, saying, David has sent us to thee, to take thee as his wife. 1 Sam. 25:40

And now, I pray thee, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If Jehovah have moved thee against me, let him accept an oblation; but if the sons of men, cursed be they before Jehovah; for they have driven me out this day from adhering to the inheritance of Jehovah, saying, Go, serve other gods. 1 Sam. 26:19
And David left neither man nor woman alive, to bring them to Gath, for he said, Lest they should tell of us, saying, So did David. And such was his custom as long as he abode in the country of the Philistines. 1 Sam. 27:11
And Achish trusted David, saying, He has made himself utterly odious among his people Israel; and he shall be my servant for ever. 1 Sam. 27:12
And Saul swore unto her by Jehovah, saying, As Jehovah liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing. 1 Sam. 28:10
And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice; and the woman spoke to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? Even thou art Saul. 1 Sam. 28:12
Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul smote his thousands, and David his ten thousands? 1 Sam. 29:5
And David inquired of Jehovah, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he said to him, Pursue; for thou shalt assuredly overtake them and shalt certainly recover. 1 Sam. 30:8
And David came to Ziklag, and he sent of the spoil to the elders of Judah, to his friends, saying, Behold a present for you of the spoil of the enemies of Jehovah: 1 Sam. 30:26
And David said to him, Thy blood be upon thy head; for thy mouth has testified against thee, saying, I have slain Jehovah's anointed. 2 Sam. 1:16

And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make thy covenant with me, and behold, my hand shall be with thee, to turn all Israel to thee. 2 Sam. 3:12
And David sent messengers to Ishbosheth Saul's son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, whom I espoused to me for a hundred foreskins of the Philistines. 2 Sam. 3:14
Now Abner had communicated with the elders of Israel, saying, Ye sought for David aforetime to be king over you; 2 Sam. 3:17
and now do it, for Jehovah has spoken of David, saying, By my servant David will I save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies. 2 Sam. 3:18
And Joab and all the host that was with him came; and they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he has sent him away; and he is gone in peace. 2 Sam. 3:23
And all the people came to cause David to eat bread while it was yet day; but David swore, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread or aught else till the sun be down! 2 Sam. 3:35
when one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead! and he was in his own sight a messenger of good, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag -- to whom forsooth I should give a reward for his good tidings: 2 Sam. 4:10
Then came all the tribes of Israel to David to Hebron, and spoke, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh. 2 Sam. 5:1
And the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land; and they spoke to David, saying, Thou shalt not come in hither, but the blind and the lame will drive thee back; as much as to say, David will not come in hither. 2 Sam. 5:6
And David inquired of Jehovah, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? wilt thou give them into my hand? And Jehovah said to David, Go up; for I will certainly give the Philistines into thy hand. 2 Sam. 5:19
And it was told king David, saying, Jehovah has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that is his, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom into the city of David with joy. 2 Sam. 6:12
And it came to pass that night that the word of Jehovah came to Nathan, saying, 2 Sam. 7:4
In all my going about with all the children of Israel, did I speak a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye me not a house of cedars? 2 Sam. 7:7
And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, Jehovah of hosts is God over Israel; and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee. 2 Sam. 7:26
For thou, Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee a house; therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee. 2 Sam. 7:27
And David sent to Joab saying, Send me Urijah the Hittite. And Joab sent Urijah to David. 2 Sam. 11:6
And they had told David saying, Urijah did not go down to his house; and David said to Urijah, Art thou not come from a journey? why didst thou not go down to thy house? 2 Sam. 11:10
And he wrote in the letter saying, Set Urijah in the front of the thickest fight, and withdraw from him, that he may be smitten and die. 2 Sam. 11:15
and charged the messenger, saying, When thou hast ended telling the matters of the war to the king, 2 Sam. 11:19
And David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go, I pray thee, to thy brother Amnon's house, and dress him food. 2 Sam. 13:7
And Absalom commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say to you, Smite Amnon; then slay him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant. 2 Sam. 13:28
And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom has smitten all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left. 2 Sam. 13:30
And the woman said, Why then hast thou thought such a thing against God's people? and the king in saying this thing, is as one guilty, in that the king does not bring back his banished one. 2 Sam. 14:13
And Absalom said to Joab, Behold, I sent to thee, saying, Come hither, that I may send thee to the king, to say, Why am I come from Geshur? it would have been better for me to be there still. And now let me see the king's face; and if there be iniquity in me, let him slay me. 2 Sam. 14:32
For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode in Geshur in Syria, saying, If Jehovah shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve Jehovah. 2 Sam. 15:8
And Absalom sent emissaries into all the tribes of Israel, saying, When ye hear the sound of the trumpet, ye shall say, Absalom reigns in Hebron. 2 Sam. 15:10
And there came one to David who reported saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom. 2 Sam. 15:13
And one told David saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. Then said David, Jehovah, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness. 2 Sam. 15:31
And the saying was right in the eyes of Absalom, and in the eyes of all the elders of Israel. 2 Sam. 17:4
And Hushai came to Absalom, and Absalom spoke to him saying, Ahithophel has spoken after this manner: shall we carry out his word? If not, speak thou. 2 Sam. 17:6
And now send quickly, and tell David saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him. 2 Sam. 17:16
And the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man Absalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom. 2 Sam. 18:5
And the man said to Joab, Though I should receive a thousand silver pieces in my hand, yet would I not put forth my hand against the king's son; for in our hearing the king charged thee and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Take care, whoever it be of you, of the young man Absalom. 2 Sam. 18:12
Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told all the people, saying, Behold, the king is sitting in the gate. And all the people came before the king. Now Israel had fled every man to his tent. 2 Sam. 19:8
And all the people were at strife throughout the tribes of Israel, saying, The king delivered us out of the hand of our enemies, and he saved us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land because of Absalom. 2 Sam. 19:9
And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak to the elders of Judah saying, Why are ye the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel is come to the king, to his house. 2 Sam. 19:11
And she spoke saying, They were wont to speak in old time saying, Just inquire in Abel; and so they ended. 2 Sam. 20:18
And Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine and killed him. Then the men of David swore to him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the lamp of Israel. 2 Sam. 21:17
And again the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them saying, Go, number Israel and Judah. 2 Sam. 24:1
And when David arose in the morning, the word of Jehovah came to the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying, 2 Sam. 24:11
And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as Jehovah had commanded. 2 Sam. 24:19
And Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king; and he provided himself chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him. 1 Ki. 1:5
And his father had not grieved him at any time in saying, Why doest thou so? and he was also a very comely man; and his mother bore him after Absalom. 1 Ki. 1:6
And Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith is king, and David our lord does not know it? 1 Ki. 1:11
Go and get thee in to king David, and say to him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear to thy handmaid saying, Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne? why then does Adonijah reign? 1 Ki. 1:13
And she said to him, My lord, thou hast sworn by Jehovah thy God to thy handmaid, saying, Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne. 1 Ki. 1:17
And they told the king saying, Behold, Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground. 1 Ki. 1:23
even as I swore to thee by Jehovah the God of Israel, saying, Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day. 1 Ki. 1:30
And moreover the king's servants came to bless our lord king David, saying, Thy God make the name of Solomon more excellent than thy name, and make his throne greater than thy throne! And the king bowed himself on the bed. 1 Ki. 1:47
And it was told Solomon saying, Behold, Adonijah fears king Solomon; for behold, he has caught hold of the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear to me this day that he will not put his servant to death with the sword. 1 Ki. 1:51
And the days of David were at hand that he should die; and he enjoined Solomon his son saying, 1 Ki. 2:1
that Jehovah may confirm his word which he spoke concerning me, saying, If thy sons take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee, said he, a man upon the throne of Israel. 1 Ki. 2:4
And behold, there is with thee Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjaminite of Bahurim, who cursed me with a grievous curse in the day that I went to Mahanaim; but he came down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swore to him by Jehovah saying, I will not put thee to death with the sword. 1 Ki. 2:8
And king Solomon swore by Jehovah saying, God do so to me, and more also, -- Adonijah has spoken this word against his own life! 1 Ki. 2:23
And it was told king Solomon that Joab had fled to the tent of Jehovah; and behold, he is by the altar. And Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, saying, Go, fall on him. 1 Ki. 2:29
And Benaiah came to the tent of Jehovah and said to him, Thus saith the king: Come forth. And he said, No; for I will die here. And Benaiah brought the king word again, saying, Thus said Joab, and thus he answered me. 1 Ki. 2:30
And Shimei said to the king, The saying is good: as my lord the king has said, so will thy servant do. And Shimei dwelt in Jerusalem many days. 1 Ki. 2:38
And it came to pass at the end of three years, that two servants of Shimei's ran away to Achish son of Maachah, king of Gath. And they told Shimei saying, Behold, thy servants are in Gath. 1 Ki. 2:39
And the king sent and called for Shimei, and said to him, Did I not make thee swear by Jehovah, and protest to thee, saying, Know for certain, that on the day thou goest forth, and walkest abroad anywhere, thou shalt surely die? and thou saidst to me, The word that I have heard is good. 1 Ki. 2:42
And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying, 1 Ki. 5:2
And behold, I purpose to build a house unto the name of Jehovah my God, as Jehovah spoke to David my father saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy stead, he shall build a house unto my name. 1 Ki. 5:5
And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have heard the things which thou sentest to me for: I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of cypress. 1 Ki. 5:8
And the word of Jehovah came to Solomon saying, 1 Ki. 6:11
And he said: Blessed be Jehovah the God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying, 1 Ki. 8:15
And now, Jehovah, God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only thy sons take heed to their way, to walk before me as thou hast walked before me. 1 Ki. 8:25
and if they shall take it to heart in the land whither they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captive, saying, We have sinned, and have done iniquity, we have dealt perversely; 1 Ki. 8:47
and he stood and blessed the whole congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying, 1 Ki. 8:55
then will I establish the throne of thy kingdom over Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel. 1 Ki. 9:5
and they sent and called him), that Jeroboam and all the congregation of Israel came and spoke to Rehoboam, saying, 1 Ki. 12:3
And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, who had stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, saying, How do ye advise to return answer to this people? 1 Ki. 12:6
And they spoke to him saying, If this day thou wilt be a servant to this people, and wilt serve them and answer them and speak good words to them, they will be thy servants for ever. 1 Ki. 12:7
And he said to them, What advice give ye that we may return answer to this people who have spoken to me saying, Lighten the yoke which thy father put upon us? 1 Ki. 12:9
And the young men that had grown up with him spoke to him saying, Thus shalt thou say to this people that have spoken to thee saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, and lighten thou it for us, -- thus shalt thou say to them: My little finger is thicker than my father's loins; 1 Ki. 12:10
And Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam the third day, as the king had appointed saying, Come again to me on the third day. 1 Ki. 12:12
and he spoke to them according to the advice of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but *I* will add to your yoke: my father chastised you with whips, but *I* will chastise you with scorpions. 1 Ki. 12:14
And all Israel saw that the king hearkened not to them; and the people answered the king saying, What portion have we in David? And we have no inheritance in the son of Jesse: To your tents, O Israel! Now see to thine own house, David! And Israel went to their tents. 1 Ki. 12:16
But the word of God came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying, 1 Ki. 12:22
Speak unto Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and unto all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the remainder of the people, saying, 1 Ki. 12:23
And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign that Jehovah hath spoken: Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out. 1 Ki. 13:3
And it came to pass when the king heard the word of the man of God, which he cried against the altar in Bethel, that Jeroboam stretched forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand which he stretched out against him dried up, so that he could not bring it back again to him. 1 Ki. 13:4
for so was it charged me by the word of Jehovah, saying, Thou shalt eat no bread, nor drink water, nor return by the way that thou shalt go. 1 Ki. 13:9
And he said to him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spoke to me by the word of Jehovah saying, Bring him back with thee into thy house, that he may eat bread and drink water. He lied unto him. 1 Ki. 13:18
and he cried to the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the word of Jehovah, and hast not kept the commandment that Jehovah thy God commanded thee, 1 Ki. 13:21
And he spoke to his sons saying, Saddle me the ass; and they saddled it. 1 Ki. 13:27

And the word of Jehovah came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying, 1 Ki. 16:1

And it came to pass after many days, that the word of Jehovah came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself to Ahab; and I will send rain upon the face of the earth. 1 Ki. 18:1
And they took the bullock which had been given them, and sacrificed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, O Baal, answer us! But there was no voice, and none answered. And they leaped about the altar that had been made. 1 Ki. 18:26
And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of Jehovah came saying, Israel shall be thy name; 1 Ki. 18:31
And Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah saying, So do the gods to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to-morrow about this time! 1 Ki. 19:2

And there came the two men, sons of Belial, and sat before him; and the men of Belial witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth blasphemed God and the king. And they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died. 1 Ki. 21:13

And the word of Jehovah came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 1 Ki. 21:17

And of Jezebel also spoke Jehovah saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the moat of Jizreel. 1 Ki. 21:23

And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-Gilead, and prosper; for Jehovah will give it into the king's hand. 1 Ki. 22:12
And the messenger that went to call Micah spoke to him saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one assent: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak good. 1 Ki. 22:13
And the king of Syria commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots saying, Fight neither with small nor great, but with the king of Israel only. 1 Ki. 22:31
And there went the cry throughout the host at the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country! 1 Ki. 22:36
And the waters were healed to this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spoke. 2 Ki. 2:22

And a woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried to Elisha saying, Thy servant my husband is dead, and thou knowest that thy servant feared Jehovah; and the creditor is come to take my two children to be bondmen. 2 Ki. 4:1

And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his garments, that he sent to the king, saying, Why hast thou rent thy garments? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. 2 Ki. 5:8
And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. 2 Ki. 5:10
Then he went down, and plunged himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God. And his flesh became again like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. 2 Ki. 5:14
And he said, All is well. My master has sent me saying, Behold, even now there are come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets; give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of raiment. 2 Ki. 5:22

And they came and called to the porters of the city, and told them saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and behold, there was no one there, no sound of man, but the horses tied, and the asses tied, and the tents as they were. 2 Ki. 7:10
And the king rose up in the night and said to his servants, Let me tell you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we are hungry, and they have gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city. 2 Ki. 7:12

And the king was talking with Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha has done. 2 Ki. 8:4
And the king asked the woman, and she told him. And the king appointed a certain chamberlain, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the revenue of the land since the day that she left the country even until now. 2 Ki. 8:6
And Elisha came to Damascus; and Ben-Hadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him saying, The man of God is come hither. 2 Ki. 8:7
And the king said to Hazael, Take a present in thy hand, and go, meet the man of God, and inquire of Jehovah by him, saying, Shall I recover from this disease? 2 Ki. 8:8
And Hazael went to meet him, and took with him a present, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden; and he came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Ben-Hadad king of Syria has sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover from this disease? 2 Ki. 8:9
And they said, It is false! tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spoke he to me saying, Thus saith Jehovah: I have anointed thee king over Israel. 2 Ki. 9:12
So there went one on horseback to meet him; and he said, Thus saith the king: Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told saying, The messenger came to them, and he does not return. 2 Ki. 9:18
And the watchman told saying, He came to them, and does not return. And the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he drives furiously. 2 Ki. 9:20
And they came back and told him. And he said, This is the word of Jehovah, which he spoke through his servant Elijah the Tishbite saying, In the plot of Jizreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel; 2 Ki. 9:36
Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, to the princes of Jizreel, to the elders, and to Ahab's guardians, saying, 2 Ki. 10:1
And he that was over the house, and he that was over the city, and the elders, and the guardians sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any one king; do what is good in thy sight. 2 Ki. 10:5
And he wrote a letter the second time to them saying, If ye are mine, and will hearken to my voice, take the heads of the men your master's sons, and come to me to Jizreel to-morrow at this time. Now the king's sons, seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, who brought them up. 2 Ki. 10:6
And a messenger came and told him saying, They have brought the heads of the king's sons. And he said, Lay them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until the morning. 2 Ki. 10:8

But the children of those that smote him he did not put to death; according to that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein Jehovah commanded saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin. 2 Ki. 14:6
Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz, son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face. 2 Ki. 14:8
And Jehoash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thorn-bush that is in Lebanon sent to the cedar that is in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son as wife; and there passed by the wild beast that is in Lebanon, and trode down the thorn-bush. 2 Ki. 14:9
This was the word of Jehovah which he spoke to Jehu saying, Thy sons shall sit upon the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass. 2 Ki. 15:12
And Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria, saying, I am thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, who have risen up against me. 2 Ki. 16:7
And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt-offering, and the evening oblation, and the king's burnt-offering, and his oblation, and the burnt-offering of all the people of the land, and their oblation, and their drink-offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt-offerings, and all the blood of the sacrifices; and the brazen altar shall be for me to inquire by. 2 Ki. 16:15
And Jehovah testified against Israel and against Judah, by all the prophets, all the seers, saying, Turn from your evil ways, and keep my commandments, my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you through my servants the prophets. 2 Ki. 17:13
And they spoke to the king of Assyria saying, The nations that thou hast removed and made to dwell in the cities of Samaria know not the manner of the god of the land; therefore he has sent lions among them, and behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the god of the land. 2 Ki. 17:26
And the king of Assyria commanded saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye have brought away from thence; and let them go and abide there, and let him teach them the manner of the god of the land. 2 Ki. 17:27
And Jehovah had made a covenant with them, and charged them saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow down yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them; 2 Ki. 17:35
And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have sinned; retire from me: I will bear what thou layest upon me. And the king of Assyria laid upon Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold. 2 Ki. 18:14
And if ye say to me, We rely upon Jehovah our God: is it not he whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has removed, saying to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem? 2 Ki. 18:22
Neither let Hezekiah make you rely upon Jehovah, saying, Jehovah will certainly deliver us, and this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. 2 Ki. 18:30
until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive-trees and of honey, that ye may live and not die; and hearken not to Hezekiah, when he persuades you, saying, Jehovah will deliver us. 2 Ki. 18:32
But the people were silent and answered him not a word; for the king's command was, saying, Answer him not. 2 Ki. 18:36
And he heard say of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, Behold, he has come forth to make war with thee. And he sent messengers again to Hezekiah, saying, 2 Ki. 19:9
Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah saying: Let not thy God, upon whom thou reliest, deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria. 2 Ki. 19:10
And Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel: That which thou hast prayed to me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard. 2 Ki. 19:20

And Shaphan the scribe informed the king saying, Hilkijah the priest has given me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king. 2 Ki. 22:10
And the king commanded Hilkijah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Micaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah a servant of the king, saying, 2 Ki. 22:12
And the king commanded all the people saying, Hold the passover to Jehovah your God, as it is written in this book of the covenant. 2 Ki. 23:21
And Jabez was more honoured than his brethren; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bore him with pain. 1 Chr. 4:9

Let it even be established, and let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, is God to Israel; and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee. 1 Chr. 17:24
And Jehovah spoke to Gad, David's seer, saying, 1 Chr. 21:9

and if they shall take it to heart in the land whither they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done iniquity and have dealt perversely; 2 Chr. 6:37

And Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of Jehovah and of the king's house, and sent to Ben-hadad king of Syria, who dwelt at Damascus, saying, 2 Chr. 16:2

But their children he did not put to death, but did according to that which is written in the law in the book of Moses, wherein Jehovah commanded saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, nor shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin. 2 Chr. 25:4

And the couriers went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, return to Jehovah the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria. 2 Chr. 30:6
For a multitude of the people, many of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, and they ate the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them saying, Jehovah, who is good, forgive every one 2 Chr. 30:18
And there was gathered together much people, and they stopped all the fountains, and the torrent that flows through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come and find much water? 2 Chr. 32:4

Does not Hezekiah persuade you, to give yourselves over to die by famine and by thirst, saying, Jehovah our God will deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria? 2 Chr. 32:11
Has not the same Hezekiah removed his high places and his altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem saying, Ye shall worship before *one* altar, and burn incense upon it? 2 Chr. 32:12
And he wrote a letter to rail at Jehovah the God of Israel, and to speak against him saying, As the gods of the nations of the countries have not delivered their people out of my hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of my hand. 2 Chr. 32:17
And Shaphan carried the book to the king. And moreover he brought the king word again saying, All that was committed to the hand of thy servants, they do; 2 Chr. 34:16
And Shaphan the scribe informed the king saying, Hilkijah the priest has given me a book. And Shaphan read out of it before the king. 2 Chr. 34:18

In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, the king of Judah, came this word to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying, Jer. 27:1
And give them a charge unto their masters, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Thus shall ye say unto your masters: Jer. 27:4
And ye, hearken not to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, who speak unto you saying: Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon. Jer. 27:9
And I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live. Jer. 27:12

Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. Jer. 28:2
And Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: So will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way. Jer. 28:11

And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Pray now unto Jehovah our God for us. Jer. 37:3

Thus saith Jehovah: Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans are certainly gone away from us; for they are not gone. Jer. 37:9

And king Zedekiah swore secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As Jehovah liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life. Jer. 38:16
And Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had given charge concerning Jeremiah by Nebuzar-adan the captain of the body-guard, saying, Jer. 39:11

Go and speak to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good, and they shall come to pass before thy face in that day. Jer. 39:16
And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan swore unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you. Jer. 40:9
And Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me go, I pray thee, and I will smite Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and no man shall know it: why should he take thy life, and all they of Judah who are gathered unto thee be scattered, and the remnant of Judah perish? Jer. 40:15
saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger for bread; and there will we dwell; Jer. 42:14
For ye deceived yourselves in your own souls, when ye sent me unto Jehovah your God, saying, Pray for us unto Jehovah our God; and according to all that Jehovah our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it. Jer. 42:20

The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews who dwelt in the land of Egypt, who dwelt at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying, Jer. 44:1
And I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing which I hate! Jer. 44:4
Then all the men who knew that their wives burned incense to other gods, and all the women who stood by, a great assemblage, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying, Jer. 44:15
And Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people that had given him that answer, saying, Jer. 44:20
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hands, saying, We will certainly perform our vows which we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out drink-offerings unto her. Ye will certainly establish your vows, and entirely perform your vows. Jer. 44:25
Therefore hear ye the word of Jehovah, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt: Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith Jehovah, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, As the Lord Jehovah liveth. Jer. 44:26

And the disciples, seeing him walking on the sea, were troubled, saying, It is an apparition. And they cried out through fear. Mt. 14:26
But Jesus immediately spoke to them, saying, Take courage; it is *I*: be not afraid. Mt. 14:27
But seeing the wind strong he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, Lord, save me. Mt. 14:30
But those in the ship came and did homage to him, saying, Truly thou art God's Son. Mt. 14:33

For God commanded saying, Honour father and mother; and, He that speaks ill of father or mother, let him die the death. Mt. 15:4

and lo, a Canaanitish woman, coming out from those borders, cried to him saying, Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is miserably possessed by a demon. Mt. 15:22
But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came to him and asked him, saying, Dismiss her, for she cries after us. Mt. 15:23
But she came and did him homage, saying, Lord, help me. Mt. 15:25
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, Because we have taken no bread. Mt. 16:7
But when Jesus was come into the parts of Caesarea-Philippi, he demanded of his disciples, saying, Who do men say that I the Son of man am? Mt. 16:13

But Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor questioned him, saying, Art *thou* the King of the Jews? And Jesus said to him, Thou sayest. Mt. 27:11
But, as he was sitting on the judgment-seat, his wife sent to him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that righteous man; for I have suffered to-day many things in a dream because of him. Mt. 27:19
And the governor said, What evil then has he done? But they cried more than ever, saying, Let him be crucified. Mt. 27:23
And Pilate, seeing that it availed nothing, but that rather a tumult was arising, having taken water, washed his hands before the crowd, saying, I am guiltless of the blood of this righteous one: see *ye* to it. Mt. 27:24
and having woven a crown out of thorns, they put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and, bowing the knee before him, they mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! Mt. 27:29
and saying, Thou that destroyest the temple and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou art Son of God, descend from the cross. Mt. 27:40
but about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Mt. 27:46
But the centurion, and they who were with him on guard over Jesus, seeing the earthquake and the things that took place, feared greatly, saying, Truly this man was Son of God. Mt. 27:54
saying, Sir, we have called to mind that that deceiver said when he was still alive, After three days I arise. Mt. 27:63
And as they went to bring his disciples word, behold also, Jesus met them, saying, Hail! And they coming up took him by the feet, and did him homage. Mt. 28:9
saying, Say that his disciples coming by night stole him while we were sleeping. Mt. 28:13
And Jesus coming up spoke to them, saying, All power has been given me in heaven and upon earth. Mt. 28:18
And he preached, saying, There comes he that is mightier than I after me, the thong of whose sandals I am not fit to stoop down and unloose. Mk. 1:7
and saying, The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn nigh; repent and believe in the glad tidings. Mk. 1:15

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace and come out of him. Mk. 1:25

And there comes to him a leper, beseeching him, and falling on his knees to him, and saying to him, If thou wilt thou canst cleanse me. Mk. 1:40
And he rose up straightway, and, having taken up his couch, went out before them all, so that all were amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it thus. Mk. 2:12
And the unclean spirits, when they beheld him, fell down before him, and cried saying, *Thou* art the Son of God. Mk. 3:11
And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother or my brethren? Mk. 3:33
and they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine that we may enter into them. Mk. 5:12
and he besought him much, saying, My little daughter is at extremity; I pray that thou shouldest come and lay thy hands upon her so that she may be healed, and may live. Mk. 5:23
While he was yet speaking, they come from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying, Thy daughter has died, why troublest thou the teacher any further? Mk. 5:35
And when sabbath was come he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing were amazed, saying, Whence has this man these things? and what is the wisdom that is given to him, and such works of power are done by his hands? Mk. 6:2
And immediately going in with haste to the king, she asked saying, I desire that thou give me directly upon a dish the head of John the baptist. Mk. 6:25
and they were astonished above measure, saying, He does all things well; he makes both the deaf to hear, and the speechless to speak. Mk. 7:37
And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the leaven of Herod. Mk. 8:15
And they reasoned with one another, saying, It is because we have no bread. Mk. 8:16
And he sent him to his house, saying, Neither enter into the village, nor tell it to any one in the village. Mk. 8:26
And Jesus went forth and his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea-Philippi. And by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Who do men say that I am? Mk. 8:27
And they answered him, saying, John the baptist; and others, Elias; but others, One of the prophets. Mk. 8:28
But he, turning round and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying, Get away behind me, Satan, for thy mind is not on the things that are of God, but on the things that are of men. Mk. 8:33
And they kept that saying, questioning among themselves, what rising from among the dead was. Mk. 9:10
And they asked him saying, Why do the scribes say that Elias must first have come? Mk. 9:11
But Jesus, seeing that the crowd was running up together, rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, *I* command thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. Mk. 9:25
But they understood not the saying, and feared to ask him. Mk. 9:32
And John answered him saying, Teacher, we saw some one casting out demons in thy name, who does not follow us, and we forbad him, because he does not follow us. Mk. 9:38
And they were exceedingly astonished, saying to one another, And who can be saved? Mk. 10:26
And there come to him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying to him, Teacher, we would that whatsoever we may ask thee, thou wouldst do it for us. Mk. 10:35
And Jesus, standing still, desired him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying to him, Be of good courage, rise up, he calls thee. Mk. 10:49
And he taught saying to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? but *ye* have made it a den of robbers. Mk. 11:17

Now he that delivered him up had given them a sign between them, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he; seize him, and lead him away safely. Mk. 14:44
And certain persons rose up and bore false witness against him, saying, Mk. 14:57
*We* heard him saying, *I* will destroy this temple which is made with hands, and in the course of three days I will build another not made with hands. Mk. 14:58
And the high priest, rising up before them all, asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? What do these testify against thee? Mk. 14:60
But he denied, saying, I know not nor understand what thou sayest. And he went out into the vestibule; and a cock crew. Mk. 14:68
And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? See of how many things they bear witness against thee. Mk. 15:4
But Pilate answered them saying, Will ye that I release to you the King of the Jews? Mk. 15:9
And they that passed by reviled him, shaking their heads, and saying, Aha, thou that destroyest the temple and buildest it in three days, Mk. 15:29

And it came to pass as he was in one of the cities, that behold, there was a man full of leprosy, and seeing Jesus, falling upon his face, he besought him saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou art able to cleanse me. Lk. 5:12
And stretching forth his hand he touched him, saying, I will; be thou cleansed: and immediately the leprosy departed from him. Lk. 5:13
And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason in their minds, saying, Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who is able to forgive sins but God alone? Lk. 5:21
And astonishment seized all, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to-day. Lk. 5:26
And their scribes and the Pharisees murmured at his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with tax-gatherers and sinners? Lk. 5:30
But they, being come to Jesus, besought him diligently, saying, He is worthy to whom thou shouldest grant this, Lk. 7:4
And Jesus went with them. But already, when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent to him friends, saying to him, Lord, do not trouble thyself, for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof. Lk. 7:6
And fear seized on all, and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet has been raised up amongst us; and God has visited his people. Lk. 7:16
and John, having called two of his disciples, sent to Jesus, saying, Art *thou* he that is coming, or are we to wait for another? Lk. 7:19
But the men having come to him said, John the baptist has sent us to thee, saying, Art *thou* he that is coming, or are we to wait for another? Lk. 7:20
They are like children sitting in the market-place, and calling one to another and saying, We have piped to you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept. Lk. 7:32
And the Pharisee who had invited him, seeing it, spoke with himself saying, This person if he were a prophet would have known who and what the woman is who touches him, for she is a sinner. Lk. 7:39
And his disciples asked him saying, What may this parable be? Lk. 8:9
And it was told him saying, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, wishing to see thee. Lk. 8:20
and coming to him they woke him up, saying, Master, master, we perish. But he, rising up, rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; and they ceased, and there was a calm. Lk. 8:24
And he said to them, Where is your faith? And, being afraid, they were astonished, saying to one another, Who then is this, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him? Lk. 8:25
And Jesus asked him saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: for many demons had entered into him. Lk. 8:30
But the man out of whom the demons had gone besought him that he might be with him. But he sent him away, saying, Lk. 8:38
While he was yet speaking, comes some one from the ruler of the synagogue, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; do not trouble the teacher. Lk. 8:49
But Jesus, hearing it, answered him saying, Fear not: only believe, and she shall be made well. Lk. 8:50
But *he*, having turned them all out and taking hold of her hand, cried saying, Child, arise. Lk. 8:54
And it came to pass as he was praying alone, his disciples were with him, and he asked them saying, Who do the crowds say that I am? Lk. 9:18
saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up. Lk. 9:22
But as he was saying these things, there came a cloud and overshadowed them, and they feared as they entered into the cloud: Lk. 9:34
and there was a voice out of the cloud saying, *This* is my beloved Son: hear him. Lk. 9:35
And lo, a man from the crowd cried out saying, Teacher, I beseech thee look upon my son, for he is mine only child: Lk. 9:38
But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them that they should not perceive it. And they feared to ask him concerning this saying. Lk. 9:45
And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us through thy name. Lk. 10:17
And behold, a certain lawyer stood up tempting him, and saying, Teacher, having done what, shall I inherit life eternal? Lk. 10:25
And one of the doctors of the law answering says to him, Teacher, in saying these things thou insultest us also. Lk. 11:45

And Jesus answering spoke unto the doctors of the law and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath? Lk. 14:3
And he spoke a parable to those that were invited, remarking how they chose out the first places, saying to them, Lk. 14:7
saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish? Lk. 14:30
and the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This man receives sinners and eats with them. Lk. 15:2

and being come to the house, calls together the friends and the neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost sheep. Lk. 15:6

And if he should sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times should return to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him. Lk. 17:4
And they lifted up their voice saying, Jesus, Master, have compassion on us. Lk. 17:13
saying, There was a judge in a city, not fearing God and not respecting man: Lk. 18:2
and there was a widow in that city, and she came to him, saying, Avenge me of mine adverse party. Lk. 18:3
And the tax-gatherer, standing afar off, would not lift up even his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, O God, have compassion on me, the sinner. Lk. 18:13
And a certain ruler asked him saying, Good teacher, having done what, shall I inherit eternal life? Lk. 18:18
And he called out saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me. Lk. 18:38
saying, What wilt thou that I shall do to thee? And he said, Lord, that I may see. Lk. 18:41
And all murmured when they saw it, saying, He has turned in to lodge with a sinful man. Lk. 19:7
But his citizens hated him, and sent an embassy after him, saying, We will not that this man should reign over us. Lk. 19:14
And the first came up, saying, My Lord, thy mina has produced ten minas. Lk. 19:16
And the second came, saying, My Lord, thy mina has made five minas. Lk. 19:18
And another came, saying, My Lord, lo, there is thy mina, which I have kept laid up in a towel. Lk. 19:20
saying, Go into the village over against you, in which ye will find, on entering it, a colt tied up, on which no child of man ever sat at any time: loose it and lead it here. Lk. 19:30
saying, Blessed the King that comes in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. Lk. 19:38
saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, even at least in this thy day, the things that are for thy peace: but now they are hid from thine eyes; Lk. 19:42

And they asked him saying, Teacher, when then shall these things be; and what is the sign when these things are going to take place? Lk. 21:7
And he said, See that ye be not led astray, for many shall come in my name, saying, *I* am he, and the time is drawn nigh: go ye not therefore after them. Lk. 21:8
And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare the passover for us, that we may eat it. Lk. 22:8
And having taken a loaf, when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Lk. 22:19
In like manner also the cup, after having supped, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. Lk. 22:20
saying, Father, if thou wilt remove this cup from me: -- but then, not my will, but thine be done. Lk. 22:42
But he denied him, saying, Woman, I do not know him. Lk. 22:57
And after the lapse of about one hour another stoutly maintained it, saying, In truth this man also was with him, for also he is a Galilaean. Lk. 22:59
and covering him up, asked him saying, Prophesy, who is it that struck thee? Lk. 22:64
And when it was day, the elderhood of the people, both the chief priests and scribes, were gathered together, and led him into their council, saying, Lk. 22:66
And they began to accuse him, saying, We have found this man perverting our nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ, a king. Lk. 23:2
And Pilate demanded of him saying, Art *thou* the king of the Jews? And he answering him said, Thou sayest. Lk. 23:3
But they insisted, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judaea, beginning from Galilee even on to here. Lk. 23:5
But they cried out in a mass saying, Away with this man and release Barabbas to us; Lk. 23:18
But they cried out in reply saying, Crucify, crucify him. Lk. 23:21
And the people stood beholding, and the rulers also with them sneered, saying, He has saved others; let him save himself if this is the Christ, the chosen one of God. Lk. 23:35
and saying, If *thou* be the king of the Jews, save thyself. Lk. 23:37
Now one of the malefactors who had been hanged spoke insultingly to him, saying, Art not thou the Christ? save thyself and us. Lk. 23:39
But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost *thou* too not fear God, thou that art under the same judgment? Lk. 23:40
Now the centurion, seeing what took place, glorified God, saying, In very deed this man was just. Lk. 23:47
saying, The Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinners, and be crucified, and rise the third day. Lk. 24:7
and, not having found his body, came, saying that they also had seen a vision of angels, who say that he is living. Lk. 24:23
And they constrained him, saying, Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is declining. And he entered in to stay with them. Lk. 24:29
saying, The Lord is indeed risen and has appeared to Simon. Lk. 24:34
And as they were saying these things, he himself stood in their midst, and says to them, Peace be unto you. Lk. 24:36
(John bears witness of him, and he has cried, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that comes after me is preferred before me, for he was before me;) Jn. 1:15
John answered them saying, I baptise with water. In the midst of you stands, whom ye do not know, Jn. 1:26
And John bore witness, saying, I beheld the Spirit descending as a dove from heaven, and it abode upon him. Jn. 1:32
But meanwhile the disciples asked him saying, Rabbi, eat. Jn. 4:31
For in this is verified the true saying, It is one who sows and another who reaps. Jn. 4:37
and they said to the woman, It is no longer on account of thy saying that we believe, for we have heard him ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Saviour of the world. Jn. 4:42
But already, as he was going down, his servants met him and brought him word saying, Thy child lives. Jn. 4:51
The Jews therefore contended among themselves, saying, How can he give us this flesh to eat? Jn. 6:52
The Jews therefore wondered, saying, How knows this man letters, having never learned? Jn. 7:15
Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, Ye both know me and ye know whence I am; and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye do not know. Jn. 7:28
In the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried saying, If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink. Jn. 7:37
Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Jn. 8:12
And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind? Jn. 9:2
And they asked them saying, This is your son, of whom ye say that he was born blind: how then does he now see? Jn. 9:19
The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. Jn. 11:3
And having said this, she went away and called her sister Mary secretly, saying, The teacher is come and calls thee. Jn. 11:28
The Jews therefore who were with her in the house and consoling her, seeing Mary that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, She goes to the tomb, that she may weep there. Jn. 11:31
Mary therefore, when she came where Jesus was, seeing him, fell at his feet, saying to him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. Jn. 11:32
these therefore came to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and they asked him saying, Sir, we desire to see Jesus. Jn. 12:21
But Jesus answered them saying, The hour is come that the Son of man should be glorified. Jn. 12:23
for some supposed, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus was saying to him, Buy the things of which we have need for the feast; or that he should give something to the poor. Jn. 13:29
But as he said these things, one of the officers who stood by gave a blow on the face to Jesus, saying, Answerest thou the high priest thus? Jn. 18:22
They cried therefore again all, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber. Jn. 18:40
When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him they cried out saying, Crucify, crucify him. Pilate says to them, Take him ye and crucify him, for I find no fault in him. Jn. 19:6
From this time Pilate sought to release him; but the Jews cried out saying, If thou releasest this man, thou art not a friend to Caesar. Every one making himself a king speaks against Caesar. Jn. 19:12
They therefore, being come together, asked him saying, Lord, is it at this time that thou restorest the kingdom to Israel? Acts 1:6
And all were amazed and wondered, saying, Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galilaeans? Acts 2:7

Then they suborned men, saying, We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God. Acts 6:11
And they set false witnesses, saying, This man does not cease speaking words against the holy place and the law; Acts 6:13
for we have heard him saying, This Jesus the Nazaraean shall destroy this place, and change the customs which Moses taught us. Acts 6:14
And on the morrow he shewed himself to them as they were contending, and compelled them to peace, saying, *Ye* are brethren, why do ye wrong one another? Acts 7:26
But he that was wronging his neighbour thrust him away, saying, Who established thee ruler and judge over us? Acts 7:27
And Moses fled at this saying, and became a sojourner in the land of Madiam, where he begat two sons. Acts 7:29
This Moses, whom they refused, saying, Who made thee ruler and judge? him did God send to be a ruler and deliverer with the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush. Acts 7:35
saying to Aaron, Make us gods who shall go before us; for this Moses, who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what has happened to him. Acts 7:40

And when it opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, Come and see. Rev. 6:7
and they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O sovereign Ruler, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell upon the earth? Rev. 6:10
saying, Hurt not the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees, until we shall have sealed the bondmen of our God upon their foreheads. Rev. 7:3
And they cry with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb. Rev. 7:10
saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and strength, to our God, to the ages of ages. Amen. Rev. 7:12
And one of the elders answered, saying to me, These who are clothed with white robes, who are they, and whence came they? Rev. 7:13
And I saw, and I heard an eagle flying in mid-heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to them that dwell upon the earth, for the remaining voices of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound. Rev. 8:13
saying to the sixth angel that had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound at the great river Euphrates. Rev. 9:14
And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write: and I heard a voice out of the heaven saying, Seal the things which the seven thunders have spoken, and write them not. Rev. 10:4
And the voice which I heard out of the heaven was again speaking with me, and saying, Go, take the little book which is opened in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the earth. Rev. 10:8
And I went to the angel, saying to him to give me the little book. And he says to me, Take and eat it up: and it shall make thy belly bitter, but in thy mouth it shall be sweet as honey. Rev. 10:9
And there was given to me a reed like a staff, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship in it. Rev. 11:1
And I heard a great voice out of the heaven saying to them, Come up here; and they went up to the heaven in the cloud, and their enemies beheld them. Rev. 11:12
And the seventh angel sounded his trumpet: and there were great voices in the heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world of our Lord and of his Christ is come, and he shall reign to the ages of ages. Rev. 11:15
saying, We give thee thanks, Lord God Almighty, He who is, and who was, that thou hast taken thy great power and hast reigned. Rev. 11:17
And I heard a great voice in the heaven saying, Now is come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ; for the accuser of our brethren has been cast out, who accused them before our God day and night: Rev. 12:10
And they did homage to the dragon, because he gave the authority to the beast; and they did homage to the beast, saying, Who is like to the beast? and who can make war with it? Rev. 13:4
And it deceives those that dwell upon the earth by reason of the signs which it was given to it to work before the beast, saying to those that dwell upon the earth to make an image to the beast, which has the wound of the sword, and lived. Rev. 13:14
saying with a loud voice, Fear God and give him glory, for the hour of his judgment has come; and do homage to him who has made the heaven and the earth and the sea and fountains of waters. Rev. 14:7
And another, a second, angel followed, saying, Great Babylon has fallen, has fallen, which of the wine of the fury of her fornication has made all nations drink. Rev. 14:8
And another, a third, angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any one do homage to the beast and its image, and receive a mark upon his forehead or upon his hand, Rev. 14:9
And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying, Write, Blessed the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth. Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; for their works follow with them. Rev. 14:13
And another angel came out of the altar, having power over fire, and called with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Send thy sharp sickle, and gather the bunches of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripened. Rev. 14:18
And they sing the song of Moses bondman of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and wonderful are thy works, Lord God Almighty; righteous and true are thy ways, O King of nations. Rev. 15:3
And I heard a great voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, Go and pour out the seven bowls of the fury of God upon the earth. Rev. 16:1
And I heard the angel of the waters saying, Thou art righteous, who art and wast, the holy one, that thou hast judged so; Rev. 16:5
And I heard the altar saying, Yea, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. Rev. 16:7
And the seventh poured out his bowl on the air; and there came out a great voice from the temple of the heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. Rev. 16:17
And one of the seven angels, which had the seven bowls, came and spoke with me, saying, Come here, I will shew thee the sentence of the great harlot who sits upon the many waters; Rev. 17:1
And he cried with a strong voice, saying, Great Babylon has fallen, has fallen, and has become the habitation of demons, and a hold of every unclean spirit, and a hold of every unclean and hated bird; Rev. 18:2
And I heard another voice out of the heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye have not fellowship in her sins, and that ye do not receive of her plagues: Rev. 18:4
standing afar off, through fear of her torment, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! for in one hour thy judgment is come. Rev. 18:10
saying, Woe, woe, the great city, which was clothed with fine linen and purple and scarlet, and had ornaments of gold and precious stones and pearls! Rev. 18:16
and cried, seeing the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like to the great city? Rev. 18:18
and cast dust upon their heads, and cried, weeping and grieving, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, in which all that had ships in the sea were enriched through her costliness! for in one hour she has been made desolate. Rev. 18:19
And a strong angel took up a stone, as a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall Babylon the great city be cast down, and shall be found no more at all; Rev. 18:21
After these things I heard as a loud voice of a great multitude in the heaven, saying, Hallelujah: the salvation and the glory and the power of our God: Rev. 19:1
And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and did homage to God who sits upon the throne, saying, Amen, Hallelujah. Rev. 19:4
And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his bondmen, and ye that fear him, small and great. Rev. 19:5
And I heard as a voice of a great crowd, and as a voice of many waters, and as a voice of strong thunders, saying, Hallelujah, for the Lord our God the Almighty has taken to himself kingly power. Rev. 19:6
And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven, Come, gather yourselves to the great supper of God, Rev. 19:17
And I heard a loud voice out of the heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall tabernacle with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, their God. Rev. 21:3
And there came one of the seven angels which had had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues, and spoke with me, saying, Come here, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. Rev. 21:9
