- Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my sheep at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock: that the shepherds may feed themselves no more; and I will deliver my sheep from their mouth, that they may not be food for them. Ezek. 34:10
- For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold I, even I, will both search for my sheep, and tend them. Ezek. 34:11
- As a shepherd tendeth his flock in the day that he is among his scattered sheep, so will I tend my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places whither they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. Ezek. 34:12

- but he who serves for wages, and who is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf seizes them and scatters the sheep. Jn. 10:12
- Now he who serves for wages flees because he serves for wages, and is not himself concerned about the sheep. Jn. 10:13
- as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. Jn. 10:15
- And I have other sheep which are not of this fold: those also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one flock, one shepherd. Jn. 10:16
- but ye do not believe, for ye are not of my sheep, as I told you. Jn. 10:26
- My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; Jn. 10:27
- He says to him again a second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Shepherd my sheep. Jn. 21:16
- He says to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, art thou attached to me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Art thou attached to me? and said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. Jesus says to him, Feed my sheep. Jn. 21:17
- And the passage of the scripture which he read was this: He was led as a sheep to slaughter, and as a lamb is dumb in presence of him that shears him, thus he opens not his mouth. Acts 8:32
- According as it is written, For thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we have been reckoned as sheep for slaughter. Rom. 8:36
- But the God of peace, who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, in the power of the blood of the eternal covenant, Heb. 13:20
- For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls. 1 Pet. 2:25
