And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren, the singers, with instruments of music, lutes, and harps, and cymbals, that they should sound aloud, lifting up the voice with joy. 1 Chr. 15:16

Wherefore should I pardon thee? Thy children have forsaken me, and swear by them that are not God. I have satiated them, and they have committed adultery, and they troop to the harlots' house. Jer. 5:7
To what purpose should there come to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? Your burnt-offerings are not acceptable, nor are your sacrifices pleasing unto me. Jer. 6:20
Wherefore came I forth from the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed in shame? Jer. 20:18
For behold, I begin to bring evil on the city that is called by my name, and should ye be altogether unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished; for I call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith Jehovah of hosts. Jer. 25:29
Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? Did he not fear Jehovah, and supplicate Jehovah, and Jehovah repented him of the evil that he had pronounced against them? And we should be doing a great evil against our souls. Jer. 26:19
-- Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death. Jer. 26:24
For they prophesy falsehood unto you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish. Jer. 27:10
For I have not sent them, saith Jehovah, yet they prophesy falsely in my name; in order that I should drive you out, and that ye should perish, ye, and the prophets who prophesy unto you. Jer. 27:15
Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city become a waste? Jer. 27:17
Jehovah hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that there should be officers in the house of Jehovah, over every madman and self-made prophet, that thou shouldest put him in the stocks and in the shackles. Jer. 29:26
For this city hath been to me a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face, Jer. 32:31
and they have built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause to pass through the fire their sons and their daughters unto Molech: which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin. Jer. 32:35
Thus saith Jehovah: If ye can break my covenant in respect of the day, and my covenant in respect of the night, so that there should not be day and night in their season, Jer. 33:20
then shall also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites, the priests, my ministers. Jer. 33:21
Hast thou not seen what this people have spoken, saying, The two families that Jehovah had chosen, he hath even cast them off? And they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them. Jer. 33:24
that every man should let his bondman, and every man his bondmaid, the Hebrew and the Hebrewess, go free, that none should exact service of them, that is, of a Jew his brother. Jer. 34:9
And all the princes and all the people that had entered into the covenant obeyed, every man letting his bondman and every man his bondmaid go free, that none should exact service of them any more: they obeyed, and let them go. Jer. 34:10
For though ye had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire. Jer. 37:10
And the princes said unto the king, Let this man, we pray thee, be put to death; for why should he weaken the hands of the men of war that remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking to them according to these words? for this man seeketh not the welfare of this people, but the hurt. even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the guard and committed him to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should conduct him away home. And he dwelt among the people. Jer. 39:14
And Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me go, I pray thee, and I will smite Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and no man shall know it: why should he take thy life, and all they of Judah who are gathered unto thee be scattered, and the remnant of Judah perish? Jer. 40:15
that Jehovah thy God may shew us the way wherein we should walk, and the thing that we should do. Jer. 42:3
provoking me to anger with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye are come to sojourn, that ye should be cut off, and that ye should be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth? Jer. 44:8
Though Babylon should mount up to the heavens, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith Jehovah. Jer. 51:53
And Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, all these words that are written against Babylon. Jer. 51:60
The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her precious things; for she hath seen the nations enter into her sanctuary, concerning whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation. Lam. 1:10
For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water: for the comforter that should revive my soul is far from me; my children are desolate, for the enemy hath prevailed. Lam. 1:16
Zion spreadeth forth her hands; there is none to comfort her; Jehovah hath commanded concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him; Jerusalem is as an impurity among them. Lam. 1:17
It is good that one should both wait, and that in silence, for the salvation of Jehovah. Lam. 3:26
Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that prayer should not pass through. Lam. 3:44
The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should enter into the gates of Jerusalem. Lam. 4:12
And will ye profane me among my people for handfuls of barley and for morsels of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that listen to lying? Ezek. 13:19
Because with falsehood ye have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad; and have strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, to save his life: Ezek. 13:22
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumbling-block of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them? Ezek. 14:3
though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, should be in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah. Ezek. 14:14
-- though these three men should be in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters: they only should be delivered, and the land should be a desolation. Ezek. 14:16

And at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. Dan. 1:18
that they would desire mercies of the God of the heavens concerning this secret; that Daniel and his companions should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. Dan. 2:18
-- as for thee, O king, thy thoughts arose upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter; and he that revealeth secrets hath made known to thee what shall come to pass. Dan. 2:29
And as for me, this secret is revealed to me, not by any wisdom that I have more than any living, but to the intent that the interpretation should be made known to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart. Dan. 2:30
Then king Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him. Dan. 2:46
Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. He spoke, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was wont to be heated. Dan. 3:19

And she conceived again, and bore a daughter. And he said unto him, Call her name Lo-ruhamah; for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel, so that I should pardon them. Hos. 1:6

But Jesus, having called his disciples to him, said, I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me already three days and they have not anything they can eat, and I would not send them away fasting lest they should faint on the way. Mt. 15:32
And his disciples say to him, Whence should we have so many loaves in the wilderness as to satisfy so great a crowd? Mt. 15:33
Then he enjoined on his disciples that they should say to no man that he was the Christ. Mt. 16:20
For what does a man profit, if he should gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mt. 16:26
And Peter answering said to Jesus, Lord, it is good we should be here. If thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles: for thee one, and for Moses one, and one for Elias. Mt. 17:4
What think ye? If a certain man should have a hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not, leaving the ninety and nine on the mountains, go and seek the one that has gone astray? Mt. 18:12
And if it should come to pass that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoices more because of it than because of the ninety and nine not gone astray. Mt. 18:13
So it is not the will of your Father who is in the heavens that one of these little ones should perish. Mt. 18:14
But he not having anything to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and his children, and everything that he had, and that payment should be made. Mt. 18:25
But he would not, but went away and cast him into prison, until he should pay what was owing. Mt. 18:30

But it is easier that the heaven and the earth should pass away than that one tittle of the law should fail. Lk. 16:17
But he said, Nay, father Abraham, but if one from the dead should go to them, they will repent. Lk. 16:30
It would be more profitable for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck and he cast into the sea, than that he should be a snare to one of these little ones. Lk. 17:2

Jesus says to them, My food is that I should do the will of him that has sent me, and that I should finish his work. Jn. 4:34
But I have the witness that is greater than that of John; for the works which the Father has given me that I should complete them, the works themselves which I do, bear witness concerning me that the Father has sent me. Jn. 5:36
They said therefore to him, What should we do that we may work the works of God? Jn. 6:28
For I am come down from heaven, not that I should do *my* will, but the will of him that has sent me. Jn. 6:38
And this is the will of him that has sent me, that of all that he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up in the last day. Jn. 6:39

Now he spoke of Judas the son of Simon, Iscariote, for he it was who should deliver him up, being one of the twelve. Jn. 6:71
And ye know him not; but I know him; and if I said, I know him not, I should be like you, a liar. But I know him, and I keep his word. Jn. 8:55
Your father Abraham exulted in that he should see my day, and he saw and rejoiced. Jn. 8:56

Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given commandment that if any one knew where he was, he should make it known, that they might take him. Jn. 11:57
But Jesus answered them saying, The hour is come that the Son of man should be glorified. Jn. 12:23
He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, that they may not see with their eyes, and understand with their heart and be converted, and I should heal them. Jn. 12:40

Now we know that thou knowest all things, and hast not need that any one should demand of thee. By this we believe that thou art come from God. Jn. 16:30

Brethren, it was necessary that the scripture should have been fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before, by the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who became guide to those who took Jesus; Acts 1:16
beginning from the baptism of John until the day in which he was taken up from us, one of these should be a witness with us of his resurrection. Acts 1:22
Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death, inasmuch as it was not possible that he should be held by its power; Acts 2:24
The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom *ye* delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when *he* had judged that he should be let go. Acts 3:13
But *ye* denied the holy and righteous one, and asked that a man that was a murderer should be granted to you; Acts 3:14
