- and Jacob begat Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. Mt. 1:16
- Now the birth of Jesus Christ was thus: His mother, Mary, that is, having been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit. Mt. 1:18
- And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for *he* shall save his people from their sins. Mt. 1:21

- Then Jesus was carried up into the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted of the devil: Mt. 4:1
- Jesus said to him, It is again written, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Mt. 4:7
- Then says Jesus to him, Get thee away, Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt do homage to the Lord thy God, and him alone shalt thou serve. Mt. 4:10

- From that time Jesus began to shew to his disciples that he must go away to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised. Mt. 16:21
- Then Jesus said to his disciples, If any one desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Mt. 16:24
- And after six days Jesus takes with him Peter, and James, and John his brother, and brings them up into a high mountain apart. Mt. 17:1
- And Peter answering said to Jesus, Lord, it is good we should be here. If thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles: for thee one, and for Moses one, and one for Elias. Mt. 17:4
- And Jesus coming to them touched them, and said, Rise up, and be not terrified. Mt. 17:7
- And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus alone. Mt. 17:8
- And as they descended from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no one, until the Son of man be risen up from among the dead. Mt. 17:9

- Peter says to him, From strangers. Jesus said to him, Then are the sons free. Mt. 17:26

- And Jesus having called a little child to him, set it in their midst, Mt. 18:2

- But Jesus was silent. And the high priest answering said to him, I adjure thee by the living God that thou tell us if *thou* art the Christ the Son of God. Mt. 26:63

- And Jesus looking around says to his disciples, How difficultly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! Mk. 10:23
- And the disciples were amazed at his words. And Jesus again answering says to them, Children, how difficult it is that those who trust in riches should enter into the kingdom of God! Mk. 10:24
- But Jesus looking on them says, With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God. Mk. 10:27
- Jesus answering said, Verily I say to you, There is no one who has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake and for the sake of the gospel, Mk. 10:29
- And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going on before them; and they were amazed, and were afraid as they followed. And taking the twelve again to him, he began to tell them what was going to happen to him: Mk. 10:32
- And Jesus said to them, Ye do not know what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup which *I* drink, or be baptised with the baptism that *I* am baptised with? Mk. 10:38
- And they said to him, We are able. And Jesus said to them, The cup that *I* drink ye will drink and with the baptism that *I* am baptised with ye will be baptised, Mk. 10:39
- But Jesus having called them to him, says to them, Ye know that those who are esteemed to rule over the nations exercise lordship over them; and their great men exercise authority over them; Mk. 10:42
- And having heard that it was Jesus the Nazaraean, he began to cry out and to say, O Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me. Mk. 10:47
- And Jesus, standing still, desired him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying to him, Be of good courage, rise up, he calls thee. Mk. 10:49
- And, throwing away his garment, he started up and came to Jesus. Mk. 10:50
- And Jesus answering says to him, What wilt thou that I shall do to thee? And the blind man said to him, Rabboni, that I may see. Mk. 10:51
- And Jesus said to him, Go, thy faith has healed thee. And he saw immediately, and followed him in the way. Mk. 10:52
- And they said to them as Jesus had commanded. And they let them do it. Mk. 11:6
- And they led the colt to Jesus, and cast their clothes upon it, and he sat on it; Mk. 11:7
- And Peter, remembering what Jesus had said, says to him, Rabbi, see, the fig-tree which thou cursedst is dried up. Mk. 11:21
- And Jesus answering says to them, Have faith in God. Mk. 11:22
- And Jesus answering said to them, *I* also will ask you one thing, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things: Mk. 11:29
- And they answering say to Jesus, We do not know. And Jesus answering says to them, Neither do *I* tell you by what authority I do these things. Mk. 11:33
- And Jesus answering said to them, Pay what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God. And they wondered at him. Mk. 12:17
- And Jesus answering said to them, Do not ye therefore err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God? Mk. 12:24
- And Jesus answered him, The first commandment of all is, Hear, Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord; Mk. 12:29
- And Jesus, seeing that he had answered intelligently, said to him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no one dared question him any more. Mk. 12:34
- And Jesus answering said as he was teaching in the temple, How do the scribes say that the Christ is son of David? Mk. 12:35
- And Jesus, having sat down opposite the treasury, saw how the crowd was casting money into the treasury; and many rich cast in much. Mk. 12:41
- And Jesus answering said to him, Seest thou these great buildings? not a stone shall be left upon a stone, which shall not be thrown down. Mk. 13:2
- And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any one mislead you. Mk. 13:5
- But Jesus said, Let her alone; why do ye trouble her? she has wrought a good work as to me; Mk. 14:6
- And as they lay at table and were eating, Jesus said, Verily I say to you, One of you shall deliver me up; he who is eating with me. Mk. 14:18
- And as they were eating, Jesus, having taken bread, when he had blessed, broke it, and gave it to them, and said, Take this: this is my body. Mk. 14:22
- And Jesus says to them, All ye shall be offended, for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered abroad. Mk. 14:27
- And Jesus says to him, Verily I say to thee, that thou to-day, in this night, before the cock shall crow twice, thou shalt thrice deny me. Mk. 14:30
- And Jesus answering said to them, Are ye come out as against a robber, with swords and sticks to take me? Mk. 14:48
- And they led away Jesus to the high priest. And there come together to him all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes. Mk. 14:53
- And the chief priests and the whole sanhedrim sought testimony against Jesus to cause him to be put to death, and did not find any. Mk. 14:55
- And the high priest, rising up before them all, asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? What do these testify against thee? Mk. 14:60
- And Jesus said, *I* am, and ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven. Mk. 14:62
- and seeing Peter warming himself, having looked at him, says, And *thou* wast with the Nazarene, Jesus. Mk. 14:67
- And the second time a cock crew. And Peter remembered the word that Jesus said to him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice; and when he thought thereon he wept. Mk. 14:72
- And immediately in the morning the chief priests, having taken counsel with the elders and scribes and the whole sanhedrim, bound Jesus and carried him away, and delivered him up to Pilate. Mk. 15:1
- But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marvelled. Mk. 15:5
- And Pilate, desirous of contenting the crowd, released to them Barabbas, and delivered up Jesus, when he had scourged him, that he might be crucified. Mk. 15:15
- and at the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Mk. 15:34
- And Jesus, having uttered a loud cry, expired. Mk. 15:37
- Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable councillor, who also himself was awaiting the kingdom of God, coming, emboldened himself and went in to Pilate and begged the body of Jesus. Mk. 15:43
- but he says to them, Be not alarmed. Ye seek Jesus, the Nazarene, the crucified one. He is risen, he is not here; behold the place where they had put him. Mk. 16:6
- and behold, thou shalt conceive in the womb and bear a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus. Lk. 1:31
- And when eight days were fulfilled for circumcising him, his name was called Jesus, which was the name given by the angel before he had been conceived in the womb. Lk. 2:21
- And he came in the Spirit into the temple; and as the parents brought in the child Jesus that they might do for him according to the custom of the law, Lk. 2:27
- and had completed the days, as they returned, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem, and his parents knew not of it; Lk. 2:43
- And Jesus advanced in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men. Lk. 2:52
- And it came to pass, all the people having been baptised, and Jesus having been baptised and praying, that the heaven was opened, Lk. 3:21
- And Jesus himself was beginning to be about thirty years old; being as was supposed son of Joseph; of Eli, Lk. 3:23
- But Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness Lk. 4:1
- And Jesus answered unto him saying, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Lk. 4:4
- And Jesus answering him said, It is written, Thou shalt do homage to the Lord thy God, and him alone shalt thou serve. Lk. 4:8
- And Jesus answering said to him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Lk. 4:12
- And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee; and a rumour went out into the whole surrounding country about him; Lk. 4:14
- saying, Eh! what have we to do with thee, Jesus, Nazarene? hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. Lk. 4:34
- And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out from him. And the demon, having thrown him down into the midst, came out from him without doing him any injury. Lk. 4:35
- But Simon Peter, seeing it, fell at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord. Lk. 5:8
- and in like manner also on James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Fear not; henceforth thou shalt be catching men. Lk. 5:10
- And it came to pass as he was in one of the cities, that behold, there was a man full of leprosy, and seeing Jesus, falling upon his face, he besought him saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou art able to cleanse me. Lk. 5:12
- And not finding what way to bring him in, on account of the crowd, going up on the housetop they let him down through the tiles, with his little couch, into the midst before Jesus. Lk. 5:19
- But Jesus, knowing their reasonings, answering said to them, Why reason ye in your hearts? Lk. 5:22
- And Jesus answering said to them, They that are in sound health have not need of a physician, but those that are ill. Lk. 5:31
- And Jesus answering said to them, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did when he hungered, he and those who were with him, Lk. 6:3
- Jesus therefore said to them, I will ask you if it is lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it? Lk. 6:9
- But *they* were filled with madness, and they spoke together among themselves what they should do to Jesus. Lk. 6:11
- and having heard of Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, begging him that he might come and save his bondman. Lk. 7:3
- But they, being come to Jesus, besought him diligently, saying, He is worthy to whom thou shouldest grant this, Lk. 7:4
- And Jesus went with them. But already, when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent to him friends, saying to him, Lord, do not trouble thyself, for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof. Lk. 7:6
- And Jesus hearing this wondered at him, and turning to the crowd following him said, I say to you, Not even in Israel have I found so great faith. Lk. 7:9
- and John, having called two of his disciples, sent to Jesus, saying, Art *thou* he that is coming, or are we to wait for another? Lk. 7:19
- And Jesus answering said to them, Go, bring back word to John of what ye have seen and heard: that blind see, lame walk, lepers are cleansed, deaf hear, dead are raised, poor are evangelized; Lk. 7:22
- And Jesus answering said to him, Simon, I have somewhat to say to thee. And he says, Teacher, say it. Lk. 7:40
- But seeing Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus Son of the Most High God? I beseech thee torment me not. Lk. 8:28
- And Jesus asked him saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: for many demons had entered into him. Lk. 8:30
- And they went out to see what had happened, and came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting, clothed and sensible, at the feet of Jesus. And they were afraid. Lk. 8:35
- Return to thine house and relate how great things God has done for thee. And he went away through the whole city, publishing how great things Jesus had done for him. Lk. 8:39
- And it came to pass when Jesus returned, the crowd received him gladly, for they were all expecting him. Lk. 8:40
- And behold, a man came, whose name was Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue, and falling at the feet of Jesus besought him to come to his house, Lk. 8:41
- And Jesus said, Who has touched me? But all denying, Peter and those with him said, Master, the crowds close thee in and press upon thee, and sayest thou, Who has touched me? Lk. 8:45
- And Jesus said, Some one has touched me, for *I* have known that power has gone out from me. Lk. 8:46
- But Jesus, hearing it, answered him saying, Fear not: only believe, and she shall be made well. Lk. 8:50
- And it came to pass as they departed from him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said. Lk. 9:33
- And as the voice was heard Jesus was found alone: and *they* kept silence, and told no one in those days any of the things they had seen. Lk. 9:36
- And Jesus answering said, O unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you and suffer you? Bring hither thy son. Lk. 9:41
- But as he was yet coming, the demon tore him and dragged him all together. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child and gave him back to his father. Lk. 9:42
- And all were astonished at the glorious greatness of God. And as all wondered at all the things which Jesus did, he said to his disciples, Lk. 9:43
- And Jesus, seeing the reasoning of their heart, having taken a little child set it by him, Lk. 9:47
- And Jesus said to him, Forbid him not, for he that is not against you is for you. Lk. 9:50
- And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes and the birds of the heaven roosting-places, but the Son of man has not where he may lay his head. Lk. 9:58
- But Jesus said to him, Suffer the dead to bury their own dead, but do *thou* go and announce the kingdom of God. Lk. 9:60
- But Jesus said to him, No one having laid his hand on the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God. Lk. 9:62
- In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I praise thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that thou hast hid these things from wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes: yea, Father, for thus has it been well-pleasing in thy sight. Lk. 10:21
- But he, desirous of justifying himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbour? Lk. 10:29
- And Jesus replying said, A certain man descended from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into the hands of robbers, who also, having stripped him and inflicted wounds, went away leaving him in a half-dead state. Lk. 10:30
- And he said, He that shewed him mercy. And Jesus said to him, Go, and do *thou* likewise. Lk. 10:37
- And she had a sister called Mary, who also, having sat down at the feet of Jesus was listening to his word. Lk. 10:39
- But Jesus answering said to her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things; Lk. 10:41
- And Jesus, seeing her, called to her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. Lk. 13:12
- But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus healed on the sabbath, answering said to the crowd, There are six days in which people ought to work; in these therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. Lk. 13:14
- And Jesus answering spoke unto the doctors of the law and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath? Lk. 14:3
- And they lifted up their voice saying, Jesus, Master, have compassion on us. Lk. 17:13
- And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but the nine, where are they? Lk. 17:17
- But Jesus calling them to him said, Suffer little children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God. Lk. 18:16
- But Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, God. Lk. 18:19
- And when Jesus had heard this, he said to him, One thing is lacking to thee yet: Sell all that thou hast and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in the heavens, and come, follow me. Lk. 18:22
- But when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, he said, How difficultly shall those who have riches enter into the kingdom of God; Lk. 18:24
- And they told him that Jesus the Nazaraean was passing by. Lk. 18:37
- And he called out saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me. Lk. 18:38
- And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be led to him. And when he drew nigh he asked him Lk. 18:40
- And Jesus said to him, See: thy faith has healed thee. Lk. 18:42
- And he sought to see Jesus who he was: and he could not for the crowd, because he was little in stature. Lk. 19:3
- And when he came up to the place, Jesus looked up and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for to-day I must remain in thy house. Lk. 19:5
- And Jesus said to him, To-day salvation is come to this house, inasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham; Lk. 19:9
- And they led it to Jesus; and having cast their own garments on the colt, they put Jesus on it. Lk. 19:35

- And Jesus said to them, The sons of this world marry and are given in marriage, Lk. 20:34
- As he was yet speaking, behold, a crowd, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went on before them, and drew near to Jesus to kiss him. Lk. 22:47
- And Jesus said to him, Judas, deliverest thou up the Son of man with a kiss? Lk. 22:48
- And Jesus answering said, Suffer thus far; and having touched his ear, he healed him. Lk. 22:51
- And Jesus said to the chief priests and captains of the temple and elders, who were come against him, Have ye come out as against a robber with swords and sticks? Lk. 22:52
- And when Herod saw Jesus he greatly rejoiced, for he had been a long while desirous of seeing him, because of hearing many things concerning him, and he hoped to see some sign done by him; Lk. 23:8
- Pilate therefore, desirous to release Jesus, again addressed them. Lk. 23:20
- And he released him who, for tumult and murder, had been cast into prison, whom they begged for, and Jesus he delivered up to their will. Lk. 23:25
- And as they led him away, they laid hold on a certain Simon, a Cyrenian, coming from the field, and put the cross upon him to bear it behind Jesus. Lk. 23:26
- And Jesus turning round to them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep over me, but weep over yourselves and over your children; Lk. 23:28
- And Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And, parting out his garments, they cast lots. Lk. 23:34
- And he said to Jesus, Remember me, Lord, when thou comest in thy kingdom. Lk. 23:42
- And Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Lk. 23:43
- And Jesus, having cried with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit. And having said this, he expired. Lk. 23:46

- And when they had entered they found not the body of the Lord Jesus. Lk. 24:3
- And it came to pass as they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus himself drawing nigh, went with them; Lk. 24:15
- And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazaraean, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people; Lk. 24:19
- For the law was given by Moses: grace and truth subsists through Jesus Christ. Jn. 1:17
- On the morrow he sees Jesus coming to him, and says, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. Jn. 1:29
- And, looking at Jesus as he walked, he says, Behold the Lamb of God. Jn. 1:36
- And the two disciples heard him speaking, and followed Jesus. Jn. 1:37
- But Jesus having turned, and seeing them following, says to them, What seek ye? And *they* said to him, Rabbi (which, being interpreted, signifies Teacher), where abidest thou? Jn. 1:38
- And he led him to Jesus. Jesus looking at him said, Thou art Simon, the son of Jonas; thou shalt be called Cephas (which interpreted is stone). Jn. 1:42
- On the morrow he would go forth into Galilee, and Jesus finds Philip, and says to him, Follow me. Jn. 1:43
- Philip finds Nathanael, and says to him, We have found him of whom Moses wrote in the law, and the prophets, Jesus, the son of Joseph, who is from Nazareth. Jn. 1:45
- Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and says of him, Behold one truly an Israelite, in whom there is no guile. Jn. 1:47
- Nathanael says to him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee. Jn. 1:48
- Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, believest thou? Thou shalt see greater things than these. Jn. 1:50
- And on the third day a marriage took place in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jn. 2:1
- And Jesus also, and his disciples, were invited to the marriage. Jn. 2:2
- And wine being deficient, the mother of Jesus says to him, They have no wine. Jn. 2:3
- Jesus says to her, What have I to do with thee, woman? mine hour has not yet come. Jn. 2:4
- Jesus says to them, Fill the water-vessels with water. And they filled them up to the brim. Jn. 2:7
- This beginning of signs did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him. Jn. 2:11
- And the passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Jn. 2:13
- Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Jn. 2:19
- When therefore he was raised from among the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and believed the scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken. Jn. 2:22
- But Jesus himself did not trust himself to them, because he knew all men, Jn. 2:24
- Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except any one be born anew he cannot see the kingdom of God. Jn. 3:3
- Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except any one be born of water and of Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Jn. 3:5
- Jesus answered and said to him, Thou art the teacher of Israel and knowest not these things! Jn. 3:10
- After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he abode with them and baptised. Jn. 3:22
- When therefore the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus makes and baptises more disciples than John Jn. 4:1
- (however, Jesus himself did not baptise, but his disciples), Jn. 4:2
- Now a fountain of Jacob's was there; Jesus therefore, being wearied with the way he had come, sat just as he was at the fountain. It was about the sixth hour. Jn. 4:6
- A woman comes out of Samaria to draw water. Jesus says to her, Give me to drink Jn. 4:7
- Jesus answered and said to her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that says to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. Jn. 4:10
- Jesus answered and said to her, Every one who drinks of this water shall thirst again; Jn. 4:13
- Jesus says to her, Go, call thy husband, and come here. Jn. 4:16
- The woman answered and said, I have not a husband. Jesus says to her, Thou hast well said, I have not a husband; Jn. 4:17
- Jesus says to her, Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when ye shall neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem worship the Father. Jn. 4:21
- Jesus says to her, I who speak to thee am he. Jn. 4:26
- Jesus says to them, My food is that I should do the will of him that has sent me, and that I should finish his work. Jn. 4:34
- for Jesus himself bore witness that a prophet has no honour in his own country. Jn. 4:44
- He, having heard that Jesus had come out of Judaea into Galilee, went to him and asked him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was about to die. Jn. 4:47
- Jesus therefore said to him, Unless ye see signs and wonders ye will not believe. Jn. 4:48
- Jesus says to him, Go, thy son lives. And the man believed the word which Jesus said to him, and went his way. Jn. 4:50
- The father therefore knew that it was in that hour in which Jesus said to him, Thy son lives; and he believed, himself and his whole house. Jn. 4:53
- This second sign again did Jesus, being come out of Judaea into Galilee. Jn. 4:54
- After these things was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Jn. 5:1
- Jesus seeing this man lying there, and knowing that he was in that state now a great length of time, says to him, Wouldest thou become well? Jn. 5:6
- Jesus says to him, Arise, take up thy couch and walk. Jn. 5:8
- But he that had been healed knew not who it was, for Jesus had slidden away, there being a crowd in the place. Jn. 5:13
- After these things Jesus finds him in the temple, and said to him, Behold, thou art become well: sin no more, that something worse do not happen to thee. Jn. 5:14
- The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. Jn. 5:15
- And for this the Jews persecuted Jesus and sought to kill him, because he had done these things on sabbath. Jn. 5:16
- But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto and I work. Jn. 5:17
- Jesus therefore answered and said to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of himself save whatever he sees the Father doing: for whatever things *he* does, these things also the Son does in like manner. Jn. 5:19
- After these things Jesus went away beyond the sea of Galilee, or of Tiberias, Jn. 6:1
- And Jesus went up into the mountain, and there sat with his disciples: Jn. 6:3
- Jesus then, lifting up his eyes and seeing that a great crowd is coming to him, says to Philip, Whence shall we buy loaves that these may eat? Jn. 6:5
- And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place: the men therefore sat down, in number about five thousand. Jn. 6:10
- And Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks, distributed them to those that were set down; and in like manner of the small fishes as much as they would. Jn. 6:11
- The men therefore, having seen the sign which Jesus had done, said, This is truly the prophet which is coming into the world. Jn. 6:14
- Jesus therefore knowing that they were going to come and seize him, that they might make him king, departed again to the mountain himself alone. Jn. 6:15
- and having gone on board ship, they went over the sea to Capernaum. And it had already become dark, and Jesus had not come to them, Jn. 6:17
- Having rowed then about twenty-five or thirty stadia, they see Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the ship; and they were frightened. Jn. 6:19
- On the morrow the crowd which stood on the other side of the sea, having seen that there was no other little ship there except that into which his disciples had got, and that Jesus had not gone with his disciples into the ship, but that his disciples had gone away alone; Jn. 6:22
- when therefore the crowd saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, *they* got into the ships, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus. Jn. 6:24
- Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say to you, Ye seek me not because ye have seen signs, but because ye have eaten of the loaves and been filled. Jn. 6:26
- Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom *he* has sent. Jn. 6:29
- Jesus therefore said to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, It is not Moses that has given you the bread out of heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread out of heaven. Jn. 6:32
- And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger, and he that believes on me shall never thirst at any time. Jn. 6:35
- And they said, Is not this Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we have known? how then does *he* say, I am come down out of heaven? Jn. 6:42
- Jesus therefore answered and said to them, Murmur not among yourselves. Jn. 6:43
- Jesus therefore said to them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Unless ye shall have eaten the flesh of the Son of man, and drunk his blood, ye have no life in yourselves. Jn. 6:53
- But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples murmur concerning this, said to them, Does this offend you? Jn. 6:61
- But there are some of you who do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would deliver him up. Jn. 6:64
- Jesus therefore said to the twelve, Will ye also go away? Jn. 6:67
- Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you the twelve? and of you one is a devil. Jn. 6:70
- And after these things Jesus walked in Galilee, for he would not walk in Judaea, because the Jews sought to kill him. Jn. 7:1
- Jesus therefore says to them, My time is not yet come, but your time is always ready. Jn. 7:6
- But when it was now the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught. Jn. 7:14
- Jesus therefore answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but that of him that has sent me. Jn. 7:16
- Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and ye all wonder. Jn. 7:21
- Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, Ye both know me and ye know whence I am; and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye do not know. Jn. 7:28
- Jesus therefore said, Yet a little while I am with you, and I go to him that has sent me. Jn. 7:33
- In the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried saying, If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink. Jn. 7:37
- But this he said concerning the Spirit, which they that believed on him were about to receive; for the Spirit was not yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified. Jn. 7:39
- But Jesus went to the mount of Olives. Jn. 8:1
- But this they said proving him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus, having stooped down, wrote with his finger on the ground. Jn. 8:6
- But they, having heard that, went out one by one beginning from the elder ones until the last; and Jesus was left alone and the woman standing there. Jn. 8:9
- And Jesus, lifting himself up and seeing no one but the woman, said to her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Has no one condemned thee? Jn. 8:10
- And she said, No one, sir. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Jn. 8:11
- Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Jn. 8:12
- Jesus answered and said to them, Even if I bear witness concerning myself, my witness is true, because I know whence I came and whither I go: but ye know not whence I come and whither I go. Jn. 8:14
- They said to him therefore, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye know neither me nor my Father. If ye had known me, ye would have known also my Father. Jn. 8:19
- They said therefore to him, Who art thou? And Jesus said to them, Altogether that which I also say to you. Jn. 8:25
- Jesus therefore said to them, When ye shall have lifted up the Son of man, then ye shall know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself, but as the Father has taught me I speak these things. Jn. 8:28
- Jesus therefore said to the Jews who believed him, If ye abide in my word, ye are truly my disciples; Jn. 8:31
- Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say to you, Every one that practises sin is the bondman of sin. Jn. 8:34
- They answered and said to him, Abraham is our father. Jesus says to them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham; Jn. 8:39
- Jesus said to them, If God were your father ye would have loved me, for I came forth from God and am come from him; for neither am I come of myself, but *he* has sent me. Jn. 8:42
- Jesus answered, I have not a demon; but I honour my Father, and ye dishonour me. Jn. 8:49
- Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father who glorifies me, of whom ye say, He is our God. Jn. 8:54
- Jesus said to them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Jn. 8:58
- They took up therefore stones that they might cast them at him; but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and thus passed on. Jn. 8:59
- Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned nor his parents, but that the works of God should be manifested in him. Jn. 9:3
- He answered and said, A man called Jesus made mud and anointed mine eyes, and said to me, Go to Siloam and wash: and having gone and washed, I saw. Jn. 9:11
- Now it was sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes. Jn. 9:14
- Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him, he said to him, Thou, dost thou believe on the Son of God? Jn. 9:35
- And Jesus said to him, Thou hast both seen him, and he that speaks with thee is he. Jn. 9:37
- And Jesus said, For judgment am I come into this world, that they which see not may see, and they which see may become blind. Jn. 9:39
- Jesus said to them, If ye were blind ye would not have sin; but now ye say, We see, your sin remains. Jn. 9:41
- This allegory spoke Jesus to them, but they did not know what it was of which he spoke to them. Jn. 10:6
- Jesus therefore said again to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. Jn. 10:7
- And Jesus walked in the temple in the porch of Solomon. Jn. 10:23
- Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye do not believe. The works which I do in my Father's name, these bear witness concerning me: Jn. 10:25
- Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewn you of my Father; for which work of them do ye stone me? Jn. 10:32
- Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? Jn. 10:34
- But when Jesus heard it, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it. Jn. 11:4
- Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. Jn. 11:5
- Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any one walk in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world; Jn. 11:9
- But Jesus spoke of his death, but *they* thought that he spoke of the rest of sleep. Jn. 11:13
- Jesus therefore then said to them plainly, Lazarus has died. Jn. 11:14
- Jesus therefore on arriving found him to have been four days already in the tomb. Jn. 11:17
- Martha then, when she heard Jesus is coming, went to meet him; but Mary sat in the house. Jn. 11:20
- Martha therefore said to Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died; Jn. 11:21
- Jesus says to her, Thy brother shall rise again. Jn. 11:23
- Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes on me, though he have died, shall live; Jn. 11:25
- Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Martha came to meet him. Jn. 11:30
- Mary therefore, when she came where Jesus was, seeing him, fell at his feet, saying to him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. Jn. 11:32
- Jesus therefore, when he saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, was deeply moved in spirit, and was troubled, Jn. 11:33
- Jesus wept. Jn. 11:35
- Jesus therefore, again deeply moved in himself, comes to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. Jn. 11:38
- Jesus says, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of the dead, says to him, Lord, he stinks already, for he is four days there. Jn. 11:39
- Jesus says to her, Did I not say to thee, that if thou shouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Jn. 11:40
- They took therefore the stone away. And Jesus lifted up his eyes on high and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me; Jn. 11:41
- And the dead came forth, bound feet and hands with graveclothes, and his face was bound round with a handkerchief. Jesus says to them, Loose him and let him go. Jn. 11:44
- but some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. Jn. 11:46
- But this he did not say of himself; but, being high priest that year, prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation; Jn. 11:51
- Jesus therefore walked no longer openly among the Jews, but went away thence into the country near the desert, to a city called Ephraim, and there he sojourned with the disciples. Jn. 11:54
- They sought therefore Jesus, and said among themselves, standing in the temple, What do ye think? that he will not come to the feast? Jn. 11:56
- Jesus therefore, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where was the dead man Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from among the dead. Jn. 12:1
- Mary therefore, having taken a pound of ointment of pure nard of great price, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair, and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. Jn. 12:3
- Jesus therefore said, Suffer her to have kept this for the day of my preparation for burial; Jn. 12:7
- A great crowd therefore of the Jews knew that he was there; and they came, not because of Jesus only, but also that they might see Lazarus whom he raised from among the dead. Jn. 12:9
- because many of the Jews went away on his account and believed on Jesus. Jn. 12:11
- On the morrow a great crowd who came to the feast, having heard that Jesus is coming into Jerusalem, Jn. 12:12
- And Jesus, having found a young ass, sat upon it; as it is written, Jn. 12:14
- Now his disciples knew not these things at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things to him. Jn. 12:16
- these therefore came to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and they asked him saying, Sir, we desire to see Jesus. Jn. 12:21
- Philip comes and tells Andrew, and again Andrew comes and Philip, and they tell Jesus. Jn. 12:22
- But Jesus answered them saying, The hour is come that the Son of man should be glorified. Jn. 12:23
- Jesus answered and said, Not on my account has this voice come, but on yours. Jn. 12:30
- Jesus therefore said to them, Yet a little while is the light amongst you. Walk while ye have the light, that darkness may not overtake you. And he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. Jn. 12:35
- While ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may become sons of light. Jesus said these things, and going away hid himself from them. Jn. 12:36
- But Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on him that sent me; Jn. 12:44
- Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end. Jn. 13:1
- Jesus, knowing that the Father had given him all things into his hands, and that he came out from God and was going to God, Jn. 13:3
- Jesus answered and said to him, What I do thou dost not know now, but thou shalt know hereafter. Jn. 13:7
- Peter says to him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, Unless I wash thee, thou hast not part with me. Jn. 13:8
- Jesus says to him, He that is washed all over needs not to wash save his feet, but is wholly clean; and ye are clean, but not all. Jn. 13:10
- Having said these things, Jesus was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, Verily, verily, I say to you, that one of you shall deliver me up. Jn. 13:21
- Now there was at table one of his disciples in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus loved. Jn. 13:23
- But he, leaning on the breast of Jesus, says to him, Lord, who is it? Jn. 13:25
- Jesus answers, He it is to whom I, after I have dipped the morsel, give it. And having dipped the morsel, he gives it to Judas son of Simon, Iscariote. Jn. 13:26
- And, after the morsel, then entered Satan into him. Jesus therefore says to him, What thou doest, do quickly. Jn. 13:27
- for some supposed, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus was saying to him, Buy the things of which we have need for the feast; or that he should give something to the poor. Jn. 13:29
- When therefore he was gone out Jesus says, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. Jn. 13:31
- Simon Peter says to him, Lord, where goest thou? Jesus answered him, Where I go thou canst not follow me now, but thou shalt follow me after. Jn. 13:36
- Jesus answers, Thou wilt lay down thy life for me! Verily, verily, I say to thee, The cock shall not crow till thou hast denied me thrice. Jn. 13:38
- Jesus says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father unless by me. Jn. 14:6
- Jesus says to him, Am I so long a time with you, and thou hast not known me, Philip? He that has seen me has seen the Father; and how sayest thou, Shew us the Father? Jn. 14:9
- Jesus answered and said to him, If any one love me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our abode with him. Jn. 14:23
- Jesus knew therefore that they desired to demand of him, and said to them, Do ye inquire of this among yourselves that I said, A little while and ye do not behold me; and again a little while and ye shall see me? Jn. 16:19
- Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? Jn. 16:31
- These things Jesus spoke, and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son may glorify thee; Jn. 17:1
- And this is the eternal life, that they should know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. Jn. 17:3
- Jesus, having said these things, went out with his disciples beyond the torrent Cedron, where was a garden, into which he entered, he and his disciples. Jn. 18:1
- And Judas also, who delivered him up, knew the place, because Jesus was often there, in company with his disciples. Jn. 18:2
- Jesus therefore, knowing all things that were coming upon him, went forth and said to them, Whom seek ye? Jn. 18:4
- They answered him, Jesus the Nazaraean. Jesus says to them, I am he. And Judas also, who delivered him up, stood with them. Jn. 18:5
- He demanded of them therefore again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus the Nazaraean. Jn. 18:7
- Jesus answered, I told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go away; Jn. 18:8
- Jesus therefore said to Peter, Put the sword into the sheath; the cup which the Father has given me, shall I not drink it? Jn. 18:11
- The band therefore, and the chiliarch, and the officers of the Jews, took Jesus and bound him: Jn. 18:12
- Now Simon Peter followed Jesus, and the other disciple. But that disciple was known to the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest; Jn. 18:15
- The high priest therefore demanded of Jesus concerning his disciples and concerning his doctrine. Jn. 18:19
- Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world; I taught always in the synagogue and in the temple, where all the Jews come together, and in secret I have spoken nothing. Jn. 18:20
- But as he said these things, one of the officers who stood by gave a blow on the face to Jesus, saying, Answerest thou the high priest thus? Jn. 18:22
- Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil; but if well, why smitest thou me? Jn. 18:23
- They lead therefore Jesus from Caiaphas to the praetorium; and it was early morn. And *they* entered not into the praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but eat the passover. Jn. 18:28
- that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled which he spoke, signifying what death he should die. Jn. 18:32
- Pilate therefore entered again into the praetorium and called Jesus, and said to him, Thou art the king of the Jews? Jn. 18:33
- Jesus answered him, Dost thou say this of thyself, or have others said it to thee concerning me? Jn. 18:34
- Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world; if my kingdom were of this world, my servants had fought that I might not be delivered up to the Jews; but now my kingdom is not from hence. Jn. 18:36
- Pilate therefore said to him, Thou art then a king? Jesus answered, Thou sayest it, that I am a king. I have been born for this, and for this I have come into the world, that I might bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice. Jn. 18:37
- Then Pilate therefore took Jesus and scourged him. Jn. 19:1
- (Jesus therefore went forth without, wearing the crown of thorn, and the purple robe.) And he says to them, Behold the man! Jn. 19:5
- and went into the praetorium again and says to Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer. Jn. 19:9
- Jesus answered, Thou hadst no authority whatever against me if it were not given to thee from above. On this account he that has delivered me up to thee has the greater sin. Jn. 19:11
- Pilate therefore, having heard these words, led Jesus out and sat down upon the judgment-seat, at a place called Pavement, but in Hebrew Gabbatha; Jn. 19:13
- Then therefore he delivered him up to them, that he might be crucified; and they took Jesus and led him away. Jn. 19:16
- where they crucified him, and with him two others, one on this side, and one on that, and Jesus in the middle. Jn. 19:18
- And Pilate wrote a title also and put it on the cross. But there was written: Jesus the Nazaraean, the King of the Jews. Jn. 19:19
- This title therefore many of the Jews read, for the place of the city where Jesus was crucified was near; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, Latin. Jn. 19:20
- The soldiers therefore, when they had crucified Jesus, took his clothes, and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and the body-coat; but the body-coat was seamless, woven through the whole from the top. Jn. 19:23
- And by the cross of Jesus stood his mother, and the sister of his mother, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. Jn. 19:25
- Jesus therefore, seeing his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, says to his mother, Woman, behold thy son. Jn. 19:26
- After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now finished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, says, I thirst. Jn. 19:28
- When therefore Jesus had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished; and having bowed his head, he delivered up his spirit. Jn. 19:30
- but coming to Jesus, when they saw that he was already dead they did not break his legs, Jn. 19:33
- And after these things Joseph of Arimathaea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly through fear of the Jews, demanded of Pilate that he might take the body of Jesus: and Pilate allowed it. He came therefore and took away the body of Jesus. Jn. 19:38
- And Nicodemus also, who at first came to Jesus by night, came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds weight. Jn. 19:39
- They took therefore the body of Jesus and bound it up in linen with the spices, as it is the custom with the Jews to prepare for burial. Jn. 19:40
- There therefore, on account of the preparation of the Jews, because the tomb was near, they laid Jesus. Jn. 19:42
- She runs therefore and comes to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, to whom Jesus was attached, and says to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him. Jn. 20:2
- and beholds two angels sitting in white garments, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. Jn. 20:12
- Having said these things she turned backward and beholds Jesus standing there, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jn. 20:14
- Jesus says to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? Whom seekest thou? She, supposing that it was the gardener, says to him, Sir, if thou hast borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jn. 20:15
- Jesus says to her, Mary. She, turning round, says to him in Hebrew, Rabboni, which means Teacher. Jn. 20:16
- Jesus says to her, Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God. Jn. 20:17
- When therefore it was evening on that day, which was the first day of the week, and the doors shut where the disciples were, through fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and says to them, Peace be to you. Jn. 20:19
- Jesus said therefore again to them, Peace be to you: as the Father sent me forth, I also send you. Jn. 20:21
- But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. Jn. 20:24
- And eight days after, his disciples were again within, and Thomas with them. Jesus comes, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace be to you. Jn. 20:26
- Jesus says to him, Because thou hast seen me thou hast believed: blessed they who have not seen and have believed. Jn. 20:29
- Many other signs therefore also Jesus did before his disciples, which are not written in this book; Jn. 20:30
- but these are written that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life in his name. Jn. 20:31
- After these things Jesus manifested himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. And he manifested himself thus. Jn. 21:1
- And early morn already breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; the disciples however did not know that it was Jesus. Jn. 21:4
- Jesus therefore says to them, Children, have ye anything to eat? They answered him, No. Jn. 21:5
- That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved says to Peter, It is the Lord. Simon Peter therefore, having heard that it was the Lord, girded his overcoat on him (for he was naked), and cast himself into the sea; Jn. 21:7
- Jesus says to them, Bring of the fishes which ye have now taken. Jn. 21:10
- Jesus says to them, Come and dine. But none of the disciples dared inquire of him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. Jn. 21:12
- Jesus comes and takes the bread and gives it to them, and the fish in like manner. Jn. 21:13
- This is already the third time that Jesus had been manifested to the disciples, being risen from among the dead. Jn. 21:14
- When therefore they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Feed my lambs. Jn. 21:15
- He says to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, art thou attached to me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Art thou attached to me? and said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. Jesus says to him, Feed my sheep. Jn. 21:17
- Peter, turning round, sees the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned at supper on his breast, and said, Lord, who is it that delivers thee up? Jn. 21:20
- Peter, seeing him, says to Jesus, Lord, and what of this man? Jn. 21:21
- Jesus says to him, If I will that he abide until I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me. Jn. 21:22
- This word therefore went out among the brethren, That disciple does not die. And Jesus did not say to him, He does not die; but, If I will that he abide until I come, what is that to thee? Jn. 21:23
- And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they were written one by one, I suppose that not even the world itself would contain the books written. Jn. 21:25
- I composed the first discourse, O Theophilus, concerning all things which Jesus began both to do and to teach, Acts 1:1
- who also said, Men of Galilee, why do ye stand looking into heaven? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven, shall thus come in the manner in which ye have beheld him going into heaven. Acts 1:11
- These gave themselves all with one accord to continual prayer, with several women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. Acts 1:14
- Brethren, it was necessary that the scripture should have been fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before, by the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who became guide to those who took Jesus; Acts 1:16
- It is necessary therefore, that of the men who have assembled with us all the time in which the Lord Jesus came in and went out among us, Acts 1:21
- Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus the Nazaraean, a man borne witness to by God to you by works of power and wonders and signs, which God wrought by him in your midst, as yourselves know Acts 2:22
- This Jesus has God raised up, whereof all *we* are witnesses. Acts 2:32
- Let the whole house of Israel therefore know assuredly that God has made him, this Jesus whom *ye* have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Acts 2:36
- And Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptised, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for remission of sins, and ye will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38
- But Peter said, Silver and gold I have not; but what I have, this give I to thee: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean rise up and walk. Acts 3:6
- The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom *ye* delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when *he* had judged that he should be let go. Acts 3:13
- and he may send Jesus Christ, who was foreordained for you, Acts 3:20
- being distressed on account of their teaching the people and preaching by Jesus the resurrection from among the dead; Acts 4:2
- be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean, whom *ye* have crucified, whom God has raised from among the dead, by *him* this man stands here before you sound in body. Acts 4:10
- But seeing the boldness of Peter and John, and perceiving that they were unlettered and uninstructed men, they wondered; and they recognised them that they were with Jesus. Acts 4:13
- And having called them, they charged them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. Acts 4:18
- For in truth against thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou hadst anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations, and peoples of Israel, have been gathered together in this city Acts 4:27
- in that thou stretchest out thy hand to heal, and that signs and wonders take place through the name of thy holy servant Jesus. Acts 4:30
- and with great power did the apostles give witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. Acts 4:33
- The God of our fathers has raised up Jesus, whom *ye* have slain, having hanged on a cross. Acts 5:30
