- And in hades lifting up his eyes, being in torments, he sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Lk. 16:23

- and father of circumcision, not only to those who are of the circumcision, but to those also who walk in the steps of the faith, during uncircumcision, of our father Abraham. Rom. 4:12
- For it was not by law that the promise was to Abraham, or to his seed, that he should be heir of the world, but by righteousness of faith. Rom. 4:13
- Therefore it is on the principle of faith, that it might be according to grace, in order to the promise being sure to all the seed, not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of Abraham's faith, who is father of us all, Rom. 4:16
- nor because they are seed of Abraham are all children: but, In Isaac shall a seed be called to thee. Rom. 9:7
- I say then, Has God cast away his people? Far be the thought. For *I* also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. Rom. 11:1
- Are they Hebrews? *I* also. Are they Israelites? *I* also. Are they seed of Abraham? *I* also. 2 Cor. 11:22
- Even as Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness. Gal. 3:6
- Know then that they that are on the principle of faith, these are Abraham's sons; Gal. 3:7
- and the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the nations on the principle of faith, announced beforehand the glad tidings to Abraham: In thee all the nations shall be blessed. Gal. 3:8
- So that they who are on the principle of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. Gal. 3:9
- that the blessing of Abraham might come to the nations in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Gal. 3:14
- But to Abraham were the promises addressed, and to his seed: he does not say, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed; which is Christ. Gal. 3:16
- For if the inheritance be on the principle of law, it is no longer on the principle of promise; but God gave it in grace to Abraham by promise. Gal. 3:18
- but if *ye* are of Christ, then ye are Abraham's seed, heirs according to promise. Gal. 3:29
- For it is written that Abraham had two sons; one of the maid servant, and one of the free woman. Gal. 4:22
- For he does not indeed take hold of angels by the hand, but he takes hold of the seed of Abraham. Heb. 2:16
- For God, having promised to Abraham, since he had no greater to swear by, swore by himself, Heb. 6:13
- For this Melchisedec, King of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from smiting the kings, and blessed him; Heb. 7:1
- to whom Abraham gave also the tenth portion of all; first being interpreted King of righteousness, and then also King of Salem, which is King of peace; Heb. 7:2
- Now consider how great this personage was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth out of the spoils. Heb. 7:4
- And they indeed from among the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have commandment to take tithes from the people according to the law, that is from their brethren, though these are come out of the loins of Abraham: Heb. 7:5
- but he who has no genealogy from them has tithed Abraham, and blessed him who had the promises. Heb. 7:6
- and, so to speak, through Abraham, Levi also, who received tithes, has been made to pay tithes. Heb. 7:9
- By faith Abraham, being called, obeyed to go out into the place which he was to receive for an inheritance, and went out, not knowing where he was going. Heb. 11:8
- By faith Abraham, when tried, offered up Isaac, and he who had received to himself the promises offered up his only begotten son, Heb. 11:17
- Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Jas. 2:21
- And the scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness, and he was called Friend of God. Jas. 2:23
- as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation. 1 Pet. 3:6
