And thy name shall no more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of a multitude of nations have I made thee. Gen. 17:5

And God said to Abraham, As to Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. Gen. 17:15

For I know him that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of Jehovah, to do righteousness and justice, in order that Jehovah may bring upon Abraham what he hath spoken of him. Gen. 18:19

And it came to pass when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot dwelt. Gen. 19:29
And Abraham departed thence towards the south country, and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned at Gerar. Gen. 20:1
And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister. And Abimelech the king of Gerar sent and took Sarah. Gen. 20:2
And Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, What hast thou done to us? And in what have I sinned against thee, that thou hast brought on me, and on my kingdom, a great sin? Thou hast done to me deeds that ought not to be done. Gen. 20:9
And Abimelech said to Abraham, What hast thou seen that thou hast done this? Gen. 20:10
And Abraham said, Because I said, Surely the fear of God is not in this place, and they will kill me for my wife's sake. Gen. 20:11
And Abimelech took sheep and oxen, and bondmen and bondwomen, and gave them to Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife. Gen. 20:14
And Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, and his wife and his handmaids, and they bore children. Gen. 20:17
For Jehovah had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah Abraham's wife. Gen. 20:18
And Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him. Gen. 21:2
And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac. Gen. 21:3
And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac, being eight days old, as God had commanded him. Gen. 21:4
And Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. Gen. 21:5
And she said, Who would have said to Abraham, Sarah will suckle children? For I have borne him a son in his old age. Gen. 21:7
And the child grew, and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned. Gen. 21:8
And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking. Gen. 21:9
And she said to Abraham, Cast out this handmaid and her son; for the son of this handmaid shall not inherit with my son -- with Isaac. Gen. 21:10
And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son. Gen. 21:11
And God said to Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad and because of thy handmaid: in all that Sarah hath said to thee hearken to her voice, for in Isaac shall a seed be called to thee. Gen. 21:12
And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a flask of water, and gave it to Hagar, putting it on her shoulder -- and the child, and sent her away. And she departed, and wandered about in the wilderness of Beer-sheba. Gen. 21:14
And it came to pass at that time that Abimelech, and Phichol the captain of his host, spoke to Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest. Gen. 21:22
And Abraham said, I will swear. Gen. 21:24
And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water that Abimelech's servants had violently taken away. Gen. 21:25
And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them to Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant. Gen. 21:27
And Abraham set seven ewe-lambs of the flock by themselves. Gen. 21:28
And Abimelech said to Abraham, What mean these seven ewe-lambs, these which thou hast set by themselves? Gen. 21:29
And Abraham planted a tamarisk in Beer-sheba, and called there on the name of Jehovah, the Eternal *God. Gen. 21:33
And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days. Gen. 21:34
And it came to pass after these things, that God tried Abraham, and said to him, Abraham! and he said, Here am I. Gen. 22:1
And Abraham rose early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he clave the wood for the burnt-offering, and rose up and went to the place that God had told him of. Gen. 22:3
On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from afar. Gen. 22:4
And Abraham said to his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you. Gen. 22:5
And Abraham took the wood of the burnt-offering, and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and the knife, and they went both of them together. Gen. 22:6
And Isaac spoke to Abraham his father, and said, My father! And he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood; but where is the sheep for a burnt-offering? Gen. 22:7
And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself with the sheep for a burnt-offering. And they went both of them together. Gen. 22:8
And they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built the altar there, and piled the wood; and he bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. Gen. 22:9
And Abraham stretched out his hand, and took the knife to slaughter his son. Gen. 22:10
And the Angel of Jehovah called to him from the heavens, and said, Abraham, Abraham! And he said, Here am I. Gen. 22:11
And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold, behind was a ram caught in the thicket by its horns; and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt-offering instead of his son. Gen. 22:13
And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh; as it is said at the present day, On the mount of Jehovah will be provided. Gen. 22:14
And the Angel of Jehovah called to Abraham from the heavens a second time, Gen. 22:15
And Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beer-sheba. And Abraham dwelt at Beer-sheba. Gen. 22:19
And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she also has borne sons to thy brother Nahor: Gen. 22:20
(And Bethuel begot Rebecca.) These eight Milcah bore to Nahor, Abraham's brother. Gen. 22:23
And Sarah died in Kirjath-Arba: that is Hebron, in the land of Canaan. And Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her. Gen. 23:2
And Abraham rose up from before his dead, and spoke to the sons of Heth, saying, Gen. 23:3
And the sons of Heth answered Abraham, saying to him, Gen. 23:5
And Abraham rose up, and bowed down to the people of the land, to the sons of Heth, Gen. 23:7
And Ephron was dwelling among the sons of Heth. And Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham, in the ears of the sons of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying, Gen. 23:10
And Abraham bowed down before the people of the land; Gen. 23:12
And Ephron answered Abraham, saying to him, Gen. 23:14
And Abraham hearkened to Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the money that he had named in the ears of the sons of Heth -- four hundred shekels of silver, current with the merchant. Gen. 23:16
were assured to Abraham for a possession before the eyes of the sons of Heth, before all who went in at the gate of his city. Gen. 23:18
And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field at Machpelah, opposite to Mamre: that is Hebron, in the land of Canaan. Gen. 23:19
And the field and the cave that was in it were assured to Abraham for a possession of a sepulchre by the sons of Heth. Gen. 23:20
And Abraham was old, and advanced in age; and Jehovah had blessed Abraham in all things. Gen. 24:1
And Abraham said to his servant, the eldest of his house, who ruled over all that he had, Put thy hand, I pray thee, under my thigh, Gen. 24:2
And Abraham said to him, Beware that thou bring not my son thither again. Gen. 24:6
And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swore unto him concerning that matter. Gen. 24:9
And he said, Jehovah, God of my master Abraham, meet me, I pray thee, with thy blessing this day, and deal kindly with my master Abraham. Gen. 24:12
And it came to pass before he had ended speaking, that behold, Rebecca came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother; and she had her pitcher upon her shoulder. Gen. 24:15
and said, Blessed be Jehovah, God of my master Abraham, who has not withdrawn his loving-kindness and his faithfulness from my master; I being in the way, Jehovah has led me to the house of my master's brethren. Gen. 24:27
And he said, I am Abraham's servant. Gen. 24:34
And I came this day to the well, and said, Jehovah, God of my master Abraham, if now thou wilt prosper my way on which I go, Gen. 24:42
And I stooped, and bowed down before Jehovah; and I blessed Jehovah, God of my master Abraham, who has led me the right way to take my master's brother's daughter for his son. Gen. 24:48
And it came to pass, when Abraham's servant heard their words, that he bowed down to the earth before Jehovah. Gen. 24:52
And they sent away Rebecca their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his men. Gen. 24:59
And Abraham took another wife named Keturah. Gen. 25:1
And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac. Gen. 25:5
And to the sons of the concubines that Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and, while he yet lived, sent them away from Isaac his son, eastward to the east country. Gen. 25:6
And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived: a hundred and seventy-five years. Gen. 25:7
And Abraham expired and died in a good old age, old and full of days; and was gathered to his peoples. Gen. 25:8
the field that Abraham had purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife. Gen. 25:10
And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac. And Isaac dwelt at Beer-lahai-roi. Gen. 25:11

And there was a famine in the land, besides the former famine which had been in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech the king of the Philistines, to Gerar. Gen. 26:1
Sojourn in this land; and I will be with thee and bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries; and I will perform the oath which I swore unto Abraham thy father. Gen. 26:3
because that Abraham hearkened to my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. Gen. 26:5
And all the wells that his father's servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines stopped them and filled them with earth. Gen. 26:15
And Isaac dug again the wells of water that they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, and that the Philistines had stopped after the death of Abraham; and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them. Gen. 26:18
And Jehovah appeared to him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake. Gen. 26:24
And may he give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee and to thy seed with thee, in order that thou mayest possess the land of thy sojourning, which God gave to Abraham! Gen. 28:4
And Esau went to Ishmael, and took, besides the wives that he had, Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebaioth, to be his wife. Gen. 28:9
And behold, Jehovah stood above it. And he said, I am Jehovah, the God of Abraham, thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land on which thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed. Gen. 28:13

But Abraham said, Child, recollect that *thou* hast fully received thy good things in thy lifetime, and likewise Lazarus evil things. But now he is comforted here, and *thou* art in suffering. Lk. 16:25

and father of circumcision, not only to those who are of the circumcision, but to those also who walk in the steps of the faith, during uncircumcision, of our father Abraham. Rom. 4:12
For it was not by law that the promise was to Abraham, or to his seed, that he should be heir of the world, but by righteousness of faith. Rom. 4:13
Therefore it is on the principle of faith, that it might be according to grace, in order to the promise being sure to all the seed, not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of Abraham's faith, who is father of us all, Rom. 4:16
nor because they are seed of Abraham are all children: but, In Isaac shall a seed be called to thee. Rom. 9:7
I say then, Has God cast away his people? Far be the thought. For *I* also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. Rom. 11:1
Are they Hebrews? *I* also. Are they Israelites? *I* also. Are they seed of Abraham? *I* also. 2 Cor. 11:22
Even as Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness. Gal. 3:6
Know then that they that are on the principle of faith, these are Abraham's sons; Gal. 3:7
and the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the nations on the principle of faith, announced beforehand the glad tidings to Abraham: In thee all the nations shall be blessed. Gal. 3:8
So that they who are on the principle of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. Gal. 3:9
that the blessing of Abraham might come to the nations in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Gal. 3:14
But to Abraham were the promises addressed, and to his seed: he does not say, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed; which is Christ. Gal. 3:16
For if the inheritance be on the principle of law, it is no longer on the principle of promise; but God gave it in grace to Abraham by promise. Gal. 3:18
but if *ye* are of Christ, then ye are Abraham's seed, heirs according to promise. Gal. 3:29
For it is written that Abraham had two sons; one of the maid servant, and one of the free woman. Gal. 4:22
For he does not indeed take hold of angels by the hand, but he takes hold of the seed of Abraham. Heb. 2:16
For God, having promised to Abraham, since he had no greater to swear by, swore by himself, Heb. 6:13
For this Melchisedec, King of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from smiting the kings, and blessed him; Heb. 7:1
to whom Abraham gave also the tenth portion of all; first being interpreted King of righteousness, and then also King of Salem, which is King of peace; Heb. 7:2

And they indeed from among the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have commandment to take tithes from the people according to the law, that is from their brethren, though these are come out of the loins of Abraham: Heb. 7:5
but he who has no genealogy from them has tithed Abraham, and blessed him who had the promises. Heb. 7:6
and, so to speak, through Abraham, Levi also, who received tithes, has been made to pay tithes. Heb. 7:9
By faith Abraham, being called, obeyed to go out into the place which he was to receive for an inheritance, and went out, not knowing where he was going. Heb. 11:8
By faith Abraham, when tried, offered up Isaac, and he who had received to himself the promises offered up his only begotten son, Heb. 11:17
Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Jas. 2:21
And the scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness, and he was called Friend of God. Jas. 2:23
as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation. 1 Pet. 3:6
