- You shall do no servile work in the time of this day: because it is a day of propitiation, that the Lord your God may be merciful unto you. Lev. 23:28
- Whom God hath proposed to be a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to the shewing of his justice, for the remission of former sins, through the forbearance of God, Rom. 3:25
