Now Moses heard the people weeping by their families, every one at the door of his tent. And the wrath of the Lord was exceedingly enkindled: to Moses also the thing seemed insupportable. Num. 11:10
But even for a month of days, till it come out at your nostrils, and become loathsome to you, because you have cast off the Lord, who is in the midst of you, and have wept before him, saying: Why came we out of Egypt? Num. 11:20
And the Lord answered him: If her father had spitten upon her face, ought she not to have been ashamed for seven days at least? Let her be separated seven days without the camp, and afterwards she shall be called again. Num. 12:14
And they went up at the south side, and came to Hebron, where were Achiman and Sisai and Tholmai the sons of Enac. For Hebron was built seven years before Tanis the city of Egypt. Num. 13:22

If any thing be to be done, Eleazar the priest shall consult the Lord for him. He and all the children of Israel with him, and the rest of the multitude shall go out and go in at his word. Num. 27:21
And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the Lord: and there he died in the fortieth year of the coming forth of the children of Israel out of Egypt, the fifth month, the first day of the month, Num. 33:38
And shall reach as far as the Jordan, and at the last shall be closed in by the most salt sea. This shall be your land with its borders round about. Num. 34:12
That is, two tribes and a half, have received their portion beyond the Jordan over against Jericho at the east side. Num. 34:15
If through hatred any one push a man, or fling any thing at him with ill design: Num. 35:20

And the Lord spoke to you from the midst of the fire. You heard the voice of his words, but you saw not any form at all. Dt. 4:12

Ask of the days of old, that have been before thy time from the day that God created man upon the earth, from one end of heaven to the other end thereof, if ever there was done the like thing, or it hath been known at any time, Dt. 4:32
To destroy at thy coming very great nations, and stronger than thou art, and to bring thee in, and give thee their land for a possession, as thou seest at this present day. Dt. 4:38
Then Moses set aside three cities beyond the Jordan at the east side, Dt. 4:41
All the plain beyond the Jordan at the east side, unto the sea of the wilderness, and unto the foot of mount Phasga. Dt. 4:49
I was the mediator and stood between the Lord and you at that time, to shew you his words, for you feared the fire, and went not up into the mountain, and he said: Dt. 5:5
Who shall give them to have such a mind, to fear me, and to keep all my commandments at all times, that it may be well with them and with their children for ever? Dt. 5:29

At that time he separated the tribe of Levi, to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to stand before him in the ministry, and to bless in his name until this present day. Dt. 10:8
¤ Therefore love the Lord thy God and observe his precepts and ceremonies, his judgments and commandments at all times. Dt. 11:1
Beware lest thou imitate them, after they are destroyed at thy coming in, and lest thou seek after their ceremonies, saying: As these nations have worshipped their gods, so will I also worship. Dt. 12:30
And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose, that his name may be called upon therein, the tithe of thy corn, and thy wine, and thy oil, and the firstborn of thy herds and thy sheep: that thou mayst learn to fear the Lord thy God at all times. Dt. 14:23
The third year thou shalt separate another tithe of all things that grow to thee at that time, and shalt lay it up within thy gates. Dt. 14:28
But thou shalt give to him: neither shalt thou do any thing craftily in relieving his necessities: that the Lord thy God may bless thee at all times, and in all things to which thou shalt put thy hand. Dt. 15:10
But in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, that his name may dwell there: thou shalt immolate the phase in the evening, at the going down of the sun, at which time thou camest out of Egypt. Dt. 16:6
And thou shalt come to the priests of the Levitical race, and to the judge, that shall be at that time: and thou shalt ask of them, and they shall shew thee the truth of the judgment. Dt. 17:9
But he that will be proud, and refuse to obey the commandment of the priest, who ministereth at that time to the Lord thy God, and the decree of the judge, that man shall die, and thou shalt take away the evil from Israel: Dt. 17:12
He shall minister in the name of the Lord his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, that shall stand at that time before the Lord. Dt. 18:7
For the Lord abhorreth all these things, and for these abominations he will destroy them at thy coming. Dt. 18:12
Paving diligently the way: and thou shalt divide the whole province of thy land equally into three parts: that he who is forced to flee for manslaughter, may have near at hand whither to escape. Dt. 19:3
Therefore I command thee, that thou separate three cities at equal distance one from another. Dt. 19:7
(Yet so, if thou keep his commandments, and do the things which I command thee this day, that thou love the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways at all times) thou shalt add to thee other three cities, and shalt double the number of the three cities aforesaid: Dt. 19:9
And when the battle is now at hand, the priest shall stand before the army, and shall speak to the people in this manner: Dt. 20:2

Carrying a paddle at thy girdle. And when thou sittest down, thou shalt dig round about, and with the earth that is dug up thou shalt cover Dt. 23:13
When a man hath lately taken a wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall any public business be enjoined him, but he shall be free at home without fault, that for one year he may rejoice with his wife. Dt. 24:5
And the priest taking the basket at thy hand, shall set it before the altar of the Lord thy God: Dt. 26:4
And mayst thou grope at midday as the blind is wont to grope in the dark, and not make straight thy ways. And mayst thou at all times suffer wrong, and be oppressed with violence, and mayst thou have no one to deliver thee. Dt. 28:29
May thy sons and thy daughters be given to another people, thy eyes looking on, and languishing at the sight of them all the day, and may there be no strength in thy hand. Dt. 28:32
May a people which thou knowest not, eat the fruits of thy land, and all thy labours: and mayst thou always suffer oppression, and be crushed at all times. Dt. 28:33
And be astonished at the terror of those things which thy eyes shall see: Dt. 28:34
In the morning thou shalt say: Who will grant me evening? and at evening: Who will grant me morning? for the fearfulness of thy heart, wherewith thou shalt be terrified, and for those things which thou shalt see with thy eyes. Dt. 28:67
And the Lord should not forgive him: but his wrath and jealousy against that man should be exceedingly enkindled at that time, and all the curses that are written in this volume should light upon him: and the Lord should blot out his name from under heaven, Dt. 29:20
Do manfully and be of good heart: fear not, nor be ye dismayed at their sight: for the Lord thy God he himself is thy leader, and will not leave thee nor forsake thee. Dt. 31:6
Revenge is mine, and I will repay them in due time, that their foot may slide: the day of destruction is at hand, and the time makes haste to come. Dt. 32:35
Because you trespassed against me in the midst of the children of Israel, at the waters of contradiction, in Cades of the desert of Sin: and you did not sanctify me among the children of Israel. Dt. 32:51

And they went to Josue, who then abode in the camp at Galgal, and said to him, and to all Israel with him: We are come from a far country, desiring to make peace with you. And the children of Israel answered them, and said: Josu. 9:6
But the inhabitants of the city of Gabaon, which was besieged, sent to Josue, who then abode in the camp at Galgal, and said to him: Withdraw not thy hands from helping thy servants: come up quickly, and save us, and bring us succour: for all the kings of the Amorrhites, who dwell in the mountains, are gathered together against us. Josu. 10:6
And the Lord troubled them, at the sight of Israel: and he slew them with a great slaughter, in Gabaon, and pursued them by the way of the ascent to Bethoron, and cut them off all the way to Azeca and Maceda. Josu. 10:10
And when the sun was down, he commanded the soldiers to take them down from the gibbets. And after they were taken down, they cast them into the cave, where they had lain hid, and put great stones at the mouth thereof, which remain until this day. Josu. 10:27
At that time Horam, king of Gazer, came up to succour Lachis: and Josue slew him with all his people so as to leave none alive. Josu. 10:33
And all their kings, and their lands he took and wasted at one onset: for the Lord the God of Israel fought for him. Josu. 10:42
To the Chanaanites also on the east and on the west, and the Amorrhite, and the Hethite, and the Pherezite, and the Jebusite in the mountains: to the Hevite also who dwelt at the foot of Hermon in the land of Maspha. Josu. 11:3
And all these kings assembled together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel. Josu. 11:5
And the Lord said to Josue: Fear them not: for to morrow at this same hour I will deliver all these to be slain in the sight of Israel: thou shalt hamstring their horses, and thou shalt burn their chariots with fire. Josu. 11:6
At that time Josue came and cut off the Enancims from the mountains, from Hebron, and Dabir, and Anab, and from all the mountain of Juda and Israel, and destroyed their cities. Josu. 11:21
As strong as I was at that time when I was sent to view the land: the strength of that time continueth in me until this day, as well to fight as to march. Josu. 14:11
And reaching as far as the borders of Debara from the valley of Achor, and so northward looking towards Galgal, which is opposite to the ascent of Adommin, on the south side of the torrent, and the border passeth the waters that are called the fountain of the sun: and the goings out thereof shall be at the fountain Rogel. Josu. 15:7
And reacheth northward to a part of Accaron at the side: and bendeth to Sechrona, and passeth mount Baala: and cometh into Jebneel, and is bounded westward with the great sea. Josu. 15:11
From Taphua it passeth on towards the sea into the valley of reeds, and the goings out thereof are at the most salt sea. This is the possession of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families. Josu. 16:8
And the border goeth down to the valley of the reeds, to the south of the torrent of the cities of Ephraim, which are in the midst of the cities of Manasses: the border of Manasses is on the north side of the torrent, and the outgoings of it are at the sea: Josu. 17:9
And it passeth by Bethhagla northward: and the outgoings thereof are towards the north of the most salt sea at the south end of the Jordan. Josu. 18:19
And the border thereof cometh to Thabor and Sehesima and Bethsames: and the outgoings thereof shall be at the Jordan: sixteen cities, and their villages. Josu. 19:22
And it returneth to Horma to the strong city of Tyre, and to Hosa: and the outgoings thereof shall be at the sea from the portion of Achziba: Josu. 19:29
These are the possessions which Eleazar the priest, and Josue the son of Nun, and the princes of the families, and of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed by lot in Silo, before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and they divided the land. Josu. 19:51
And he shall dwell in that city, till he stand before judgment to give an account of his fact, and till the death of the high priest, who shall be at that time: then shall the manslayer return, and go into his own city and house from whence he fled. Josu. 20:6
¤ At the same time Josue called the Rubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasses, Josu. 22:1
Know ye for a certainty that the Lord your God will not destroy them before your face, but they shall be a pit and a snare in your way, and a stumbling-block at your side, and stakes in your eyes, till he take you away and destroy you from off this excellent land, which he hath given you. Josu. 23:13
And the children of the Cinite, the kinsman of Moses, went up from the city of palms, with the children of Juda, into the wilderness of his lot, which is at the south side of Arad, and they dwelt with him. Judg. 1:16

And the Lord struck a terror into Sisara, and all his chariots, and all his multitude, with the edge of the sword, at the sight of Barac; insomuch, that Sisara leaping down from off his chariot, fled away on foot, Judg. 4:15
At her feet he fell: he fainted, and he died: he rolled before her feet, and there he lay lifeless and wretched. Judg. 5:27
His mother looked out at a window, and howled: and she spoke from the dining room: Why is his chariot so long in coming back? Why are the feet of his horses so slow? Judg. 5:28

And Gedeon, and the three hundred men that were with him, went into part of the camp, at the beginning of the midnight watch, and the watchmen being alarmed, they began to sound their trumpets, and to clap the pitchers one against another. Judg. 7:19
And Gaal, the son of Obed, came with his brethren, and went over to Sichem. And the inhabitants of Sichem, taking courage at his coming, Judg. 9:26

And the Spirit of the Lord came upon Samson, and he tore the lion as he would have torn a kid in pieces, having nothing at all in his hand: and he would not tell this to his father and mother. Judg. 14:6
So she wept before him the seven days of the feast: and, at length, on the seventh day, as she was troublesome to him, he expounded it. And she immediately told her countrymen. Judg. 14:17
¤ And a while after, when the days of the wheat harvest were at hand, Samson came, meaning to visit his wife, and he brought her a kid of the flock. And when he would have gone into her chamber, as usual, her father would not suffer him, saying: Judg. 15:1
Now when he was come to the place of the Jawbone, and the Philistines shouting went to meet him, the Spirit of the Lord came strongly upon him: and as flax is wont to be consumed at the approach of fire, so the bands with which he was bound were broken and loosed. Judg. 15:14
And when the Philistines had heard this, and it was noised about among them, that Samson was come into the city, they surrounded him, setting guards at the gate of the city, and watching there all the night in silence, that in the morning they might kill him as he went out. Judg. 16:2
And Dalila said to him: Behold thou hast mocked me, and hast told me a false thing: but now at least tell me wherewith thou mayest be bound. Judg. 16:10
He said: Let me die with the Philistines. And when he had strongly shook the pillars, the house fell upon all the princes, and the rest of the multitude, that was there: and he killed many more at his death, than he had killed before in his life. Judg. 16:30
¤ There was at that time a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Michas. Judg. 17:1
So he restored them to his mother, who said to him: I have consecrated and vowed this silver to the Lord, that my son may receive it at my hand, and make a graven and a molten god; so now I deliver it to thee. Judg. 17:3
So the five men going on came to Lais: and they saw how the people dwelt therein without any fear, according to the custom of the Sidonians, secure and easy, having no man at all to oppose them, being very rich, and living separated, at a distance from Sidon and from all men. Judg. 18:7
And were now at a distance from the house of Michas, the men that dwelt in the houses of Michas gathering together followed them, Judg. 18:22
There being no man at all who brought them any succour, because they dwelt far from Sidon, and had no society or business with any man. And the city was in the land of Rohob: and they rebuilt it, and dwelt therein, Judg. 18:28
And when I shall come thither, we will lodge there, or at least in the city of Rama. Judg. 19:13

Now this in former times was the manner in Israel between kinsmen, that if at any time one yielded his right to another: that the grant might be sure, the man put off his shoe and gave it to his neighbour; this was a testimony of cession of right in Israel. Ruth 4:7
Now Anna spoke in her heart, and only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard at all. Heli therefore thought her to be drunk, 1 Ki. 1:13
And they rose in the morning, and worshipped before the Lord: and they returned, and came into their house at Ramatha. And Elcana knew Anna his wife: And the Lord remembered her. 1 Ki. 1:19
And Elcana, her husband, said to her: Do what seemeth good to thee, and stay till thou wean him: and I pray that the Lord may fulfil his word. So the woman stayed at home, and gave her son suck, till she weaned him. 1 Ki. 1:23
Now Heli was very old, and he heard all that his sons did to all Israel: and how they lay with the women that waited at the door of the tabernacle: 1 Ki. 2:22
Now, therefore, take and make a new cart: and two kine that have calved, on which there hath come no yoke, tie to the cart, and shut up their calves at home. 1 Ki. 6:7
And you shall take the ark of the Lord, and lay it on the cart, and the vessels of gold, which you have paid him for sin, you shall put into a little box at the side thereof: and send it away, that it may go. 1 Ki. 6:8

And the day after, the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of his house. And David played with his hand as at other times. And Saul held a spear in his hand, 1 Ki. 18:10
And it came to pass at the time when Merob, the daughter of Saul, should have been given to David, that she was given to Hadriel, the Molathite, to wife. 1 Ki. 18:19

These pillars he put at the entrance of the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left: that which was on the right hand, he called Jachin: and that on the left hand, Booz. 2 Par. 3:17

At that time there shall be no peace to him that goeth out and cometh in, but terrors on every side among all the inhabitants of the earth. 2 Par. 15:5
Moreover Maacha the mother of king Asa he deposed from the royal authority, because she had made in a grove an idol of Priapus: and he entirely destroyed it, and breaking it into pieces, burnt it at the torrent Cedron. 2 Par. 15:16
At that time Hanani the prophet came to Asa king of Juda, and said to him: Because thou hast had confidence in the king of Syria, and not in the Lord thy God, therefore hath the army of the king of Syria escaped out of thy hand. 2 Par. 16:7
And Asa was angry with the seer, and commanded him to be put in prison: for he was greatly enraged because of this thing: and he put to death many of the people at that time. 2 Par. 16:10
All these were at the hand of the king, beside others, whom he had put in the walled cities, in all Juda. 2 Par. 17:19

The destruction of Ninive is at hand: for the word of the Lord must be fulfilled: and our brethren, that are scattered abroad from the land of Israel, shall return to it. Tob. 14:6
And command your children that they do justice and almsdeeds, and that they be mindful of God, and bless him at all times in truth, and with all their power. Tob. 14:11
And so great a fear lay upon all those provinces, that the inhabitants of all the cities, both princes and nobles, as well as the people, went out to meet him at his coming. Jud. 3:9

And as the time came orderly about, the day was at hand, when Esther, the daughter of Abihail the brother of Mardochai, whom he had adopted for his daughter, was to go in to the king. But she sought not women's ornaments, but whatsoever Egeus the eunuch the keeper of the virgins had a mind, he gave her to adorn her. For she was exceeding fair, and her incredible beauty made her appear agreeable and amiable in the eyes of all. Esther 2:15
And when the virgins were sought the second time, and gathered together, Mardochai stayed at the king's gate, Esther 2:19
Neither had Esther as yet declared her country and people, according to his commandment. For whatsoever he commanded, Esther observed: and she did all things in the same manner as she was wont at that time when he brought her up a little one. Esther 2:20
At that time, therefore, when Mardochai abode at the king's gate, Bagathan and Thares, two of the king's eunuchs, who were porters, and presided in the first entry of the palace, were angry: and they designed to rise up against the king, and to kill him. Esther 2:21
And all the king's servants, that were at the doors of the palace, bent their knees, and worshipped Aman: for so the emperor had commanded them, only Mardochai did not bend his knee, nor worship him. Esther 3:2
And the king's servants that were chief at the doors of the palace, said to him: Why dost thou alone not observe the king's commandment? Esther 3:3
¤ Queen Esther also, fearing the danger that was at hand, had recourse to the Lord. Esther 14:1
Give not, O Lord, thy sceptre to them that are not, lest they laugh at our ruin: but turn their counsel upon themselves, and destroy him that hath begun to rage against us. Esther 14:11
And that I have not eaten at Aman's table, nor hath the king's banquet pleased me, and that I have not drunk the wine of the drink offerings: Esther 14:17
And when the king heard this, he said: What honour and reward hath Mardochai received for this fidelity? His servants and ministers said to him: He hath received no reward at all. Esther 6:3
And not content with these things, she fell down at the king's feet and wept, and speaking to him besought him, that he would give orders that the malice of Aman the Agagite, and his most wicked devices which he had invented against the Jews, should be of no effect. Esther 8:3
But we have found that the Jews, who were by that most wicked man appointed to be slain, are in no fault at all, but contrariwise, use just laws, Esther 16:15
That they should receive the fourteenth and fifteenth day of the month Adar for holy days, and always at the return of the year should celebrate them with solemn honour: Esther 9:21
And the Jews undertook to observe with solemnity all they had begun to do at that time, which Mardochai by letters had commanded to be done. Esther 9:23
And he said to her: Thou hast spoken like one of the foolish women: If we have received good things at the hand of God, why should we not receive evil? In all these things Job did not sin with his lips. Job 2:10

Thou hast failed in the multitude of thy counsels: let now the astrologers stand and save thee, they that gazed at the stars, and counted the months, that from them they might tell the things that shall come to thee. Isa. 47:13

And when they shall enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments: neither shall any woollen come upon them, when they minister in the gates of the inner court and within. Ezec. 44:17
And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of the gate from without, and he shall stand at the threshold of the gate: and the priests shall offer his holocaust, and his peace offerings: and he shall adore upon the threshold of the gate, and shall go out: but the gate shall not be shut till the evening. And the people of the land shall adore at the door of that gate before the Lord on the sabbaths, and on the new moons. Ezec. 46:3
But when the people of the land shall go in before the Lord in the solemn feasts, he that goeth in by the north gate to adore, shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that goeth in by the way of the south gate, shall go out by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go out at that over against it. And he brought me in by the entry that was at the side of the gate, into the chambers of the sanctuary that were for the priests, which looked toward the north. And there was a place bending to the west. Ezec. 46:19

And made the midst of the furnace like the blowing of a wind bringing dew, and the fire touched them not at all, nor troubled them, nor did them any harm. Dan. A:27
I, Nabuchodonosor, was at rest in my house, and flourishing in my palace: Dan. 4:4

Then at the commandment of their captain, they forthwith removed from the place where they were, and went to the town of Dessau, to meet them. 2 Ma. 14:16
And now when all expected what judgment would be given, and the enemies were at hand, and the army was set in array, the beasts and the horsemen ranged in convenient places, 2 Ma. 15:20

And whilst they were at supper, Jesus took bread and blessed and broke and gave to his disciples and said: Take ye and eat. This is my body. Mt. 26:26
Then he cometh to his disciples and saith to them: Sleep ye now and take your rest. Behold the hour is at hand: and the Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of sinners. Mt. 26:45
Rise: let us go. Behold he is at hand that will betray me. Mt. 26:46
And saying: The time is accomplished and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel: Mk. 1:15
And they were astonished at his doctrine. For he was teaching them as one having power, and not as the scribes. Mk. 1:22
And all the city was gathered together at the door. Mk. 1:33

And there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue named Jairus: and seeing him, falleth down at his feet. Mk. 5:22
And he besought him much, saying: My daughter is at the point of death, come, lay thy hand upon her, that she may be safe, and may live. Mk. 5:23
And when the Sabbath was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were in admiration at his doctrine, saying: How came this man by all these things? and what wisdom is this that is given to him, and such mighty works as are wrought by his hands? Mk. 6:2
And when the daughter of the same Herodias had come in, and had danced, and pleased Herod, and them that were at table with him, the king said to the damsel: Ask of me what thou wilt, and I will give it thee. Mk. 6:22
And the king was struck sad. Yet because of his oath, and because of them that were with him at table, he would not displease her: Mk. 6:26
For a woman as soon as she heard of him, whose daughter had an unclean spirit, came in and fell down at his feet. Mk. 7:25
Who being struck sad at that saying, went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Mk. 10:22
And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus again answering, saith to them: Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God? Mk. 10:24
And the ten, hearing it, began to be much displeased at James and John. Mk. 10:41
¤ And when they were drawing near to Jerusalem and to Bethania, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth two of his disciples, Mk. 11:1
And saith to them: Go into the village that is over against you, and immediately at your coming in thither, you shall find a colt tied, upon which no man yet hath sat. Loose him and bring him. Mk. 11:2
Which when the chief priests and the scribes had heard, they sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because the whole multitude was in admiration at his doctrine. Mk. 11:18
And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant to receive of the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard. Mk. 12:2
And Jesus answering, said to them: Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him. Mk. 12:17
And to sit in the first chairs in the synagogues and to have the highest places at suppers: Mk. 12:39
So you also when you shall see these things come to pass, know ye that it is very nigh, even at the doors. Mk. 13:29
Watch ye therefore (for you know not when the lord of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock crowing, or in the morning): Mk. 13:35
And when he was in Bethania, in the house of Simon the leper, and was at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of precious spikenard. And breaking the alabaster box, she poured it out upon his head. Mk. 14:3
And when they were at table and eating, Jesus saith: Amen I say to you, one of you that eateth with me shall betray me. Mk. 14:18
Rise up: let us go. Behold, he that will betray me is at hand. Mk. 14:42
And Peter followed him afar off, even into the court of the high priest. And he sat with the servants at the fire and warmed himself. Mk. 14:54
And at the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying: Eloi, Eloi, lamma sabacthani? Which is, being interpreted: My God, My God, Why hast thou forsaken me? Mk. 15:34
At length he appeared to the eleven as they were at table: and he upbraided them with their incredulity and hardness of heart, because they did not believe them who had seen him after he was risen again. Mk. 16:14
And all the multitude of the people was praying without, at the hour of incense. Lk. 1:10
Who having heard, was troubled at his saying and thought with herself what manner of salutation this should be. Lk. 1:29

The spirit of the Lord is upon me. Wherefore he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the contrite of heart, to preach deliverance to the captives and sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Lk. 4:18
And all gave testimony to him. And they wondered at the words of grace that proceeded from his mouth. And they said: Is not this the son of Joseph? Lk. 4:22
And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his speech was with power. Lk. 4:32
And Jesus rebuked him, saying: Hold thy peace and go out of him. And when the devil had thrown him into the midst, he went out of him and hurt him not at all. Lk. 4:35

Which when Simon Peter saw, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying: Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord. Lk. 5:8
For he was wholly astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken. Lk. 5:9
And after these things, he went forth and saw a publican named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said to him: Follow me. Lk. 5:27
And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: And there was a great company of publicans and of others that were at table with them. Lk. 5:29
And behold a woman that was in the city, a sinner, when she knew that he sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment. Lk. 7:37

And why then didst thou not give my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have exacted it with usury? Lk. 19:23
Saying: Go into the town which is over against you, at your entering into which you shall find the colt of an ass tied, on which no man ever hath sitten: loose him and bring him hither. Lk. 19:30

Beware of the scribes, who desire to walk in long robes and love salutations in the market place and the first chairs in the synagogues and the chief rooms at feasts: Lk. 20:46
Who said: Take heed you be not seduced: for many will come in my name, saying: I am he and the time is at hand. Go ye not therefore after them. Lk. 21:8
And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed about with an army, then know that the desolation thereof is at hand. Lk. 21:20
But when these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is at hand. Lk. 21:28
So you also, when you shall see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is at hand. Lk. 21:31
Watch ye, therefore, praying at all times, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that are to come and to stand before the Son of man. Lk. 21:36

¤ Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the pasch, was at hand. Lk. 22:1
For which is greater, he that sitteth at table or he that serveth? Is not he that sitteth at table? But I am in the midst of you, as he that serveth. Lk. 22:27
That you may eat and drink at my table, in my kingdom: and may sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Lk. 22:30
Whom when a certain servant maid had seen sitting at the light and had earnestly beheld him, she said: This man also was with him. Lk. 22:56
And when he understood that he was of Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him away to Herod, who was also himself at Jerusalem in those days. Lk. 23:7
And Herod with his army set him at nought and mocked him, putting on him a white garment: and sent him back to Pilate. Lk. 23:11
And it came to pass, as they were astonished in their mind at this, behold, two men stood by them, in shining apparel. Lk. 24:4
But Peter rising up, ran to the sepulchre and, stooping down, he saw the linen cloths laid by themselves: and went away wondering in himself at that which was come to pass. Lk. 24:12
Yea and certain women also of our company affrighted us who, before it was light, were at the sepulchre, Lk. 24:22
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things that were concerning him. Lk. 24:27

Now there is at Jerusalem a pond, called Probatica, which in Hebrew is named Bethsaida, having five porches. Jn. 5:2
And an angel of the Lord descended at certain times into the pond and the water was moved. And he that went down first into the pond after the motion of the water was made whole of whatsoever infirmity he lay under. Jn. 5:4
Wonder not at this: for the hour cometh wherein all that are in the graves shall hear the voice of the Son of God. Jn. 5:28
And the Father himself who hath sent me hath given testimony of me: neither have you heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. Jn. 5:37
Now the pasch, the festival day of the Jews, was near at hand. Jn. 6:4

But they hearing this, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest. And Jesus alone remained, and the woman standing in the midst. Jn. 8:9
They took up stones therefore to cast at him. But Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple. Jn. 8:59
And it was the feast of the dedication at Jerusalem: and it was winter. Jn. 10:22
Martha therefore, as soon as she heard that Jesus was come, went to meet him: but Mary sat at home. Jn. 11:20
Martha saith to him: I know that he shall rise again, in the resurrection at the last day. Jn. 11:24
When Mary therefore was come where Jesus was, seeing him, she fell down at his feet and saith to him. Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. Jn. 11:32
And the pasch of the Jews was at hand: and many from the country went up to Jerusalem, before the pasch, to purify themselves. Jn. 11:55
And they made him a supper there: and Martha served. But Lazarus was one of them that were at table with him. Jn. 12:2

But you have a custom that I should release one unto you at the Pasch. Will you, therefore, that I release unto you the king of the Jews? Jn. 18:39
And Nicodemus also came (he who at the first came to Jesus by night), bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. Jn. 19:39
There, therefore, because of the parasceve of the Jews, they laid Jesus: because the sepulchre was nigh at hand. Jn. 19:42
But Mary stood at the sepulchre without, weeping. Now as she was weeping, she stooped down and looked into the sepulchre, Jn. 20:11
And she saw two angels in white, sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been laid. Jn. 20:12
¤ After this, Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. And he shewed himself after this manner. Jn. 21:1
Jesus saith to them: Come and dine. And none of them who were at meat, durst ask him: Who art thou? Knowing that it was the Lord. Jn. 21:12
Peter turning about, saw that disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned on his breast at supper and said: Lord, who is he that shall betray thee? Jn. 21:20
They therefore who were come together, asked him, saying: Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? Acts 1:6
Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Acts 2:5

But Peter seeing, made answer to the people: Ye men of Israel, why wonder you at this? Or why look you upon us, as if by our strength or power we had made this man to walk? Acts 3:12
And calling them, they charged them not to speak at all, nor teach in the name of Jesus. Acts 4:18
Having land, sold it and brought the price and laid it at the feet of the Apostles. Acts 4:37
And by fraud kept back part of the price of the land, his wife being privy thereunto: and bringing a certain part of it, laid it at the feet of the apostles. Acts 5:2
And Peter said unto her: Why have you agreed together to tempt the spirit of the Lord? Behold the feet of them who have buried thy husband are at the door: and they shall carry thee out, Acts 5:9
Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that, when Peter came, his shadow at the least might overshadow any of them and they might be delivered from their infirmities. Acts 5:15
And they consented to him. And calling in the apostles, after they had scourged them, they charged them that they should not speak at all in the name of Jesus. And they dismissed them. Acts 5:40
And at the second time, Joseph was known by his brethren: and his kindred was made known to Pharao. Acts 7:13
At the same time was Moses born: and he was acceptable to God. Who was nourished three months in his father's house. Acts 7:20
And the day following, he shewed himself to them when they were at strife and would have reconciled them in peace, saying: Men, ye are brethren. Why hurt you one another? Acts 7:26
And Moses seeing it wondered at the sight. And as he drew near to view it, the voice of the Lord came unto him, saying: Acts 7:31
Now hearing these things, they were cut to the heart: and they gnashed with their teeth at him. Acts 7:54
And casting him forth without the city, they stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man, whose name was Saul. Acts 7:58
¤ And Saul was consenting to his death. And at that time, there was raised a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem. And they were all dispersed through the countries of Judea, and Samaria, except the apostles. Acts 8:1
Then Philip, opening his mouth and beginning at this scripture, preached unto him Jesus. Acts 8:35
Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision: Ananias. And he said: Behold I am here, Lord. Acts 9:10
And when he had taken meat, he was strengthened. And he was with the disciples that were at Damascus, for some days. Acts 9:19
But Saul increased much more in strength and confounded the Jews who dwelt at Damascus, affirming that this is the Christ. Acts 9:22
And it came to pass that Peter, as he passed through, visiting all, came to the saints who dwelt at Lydda. Acts 9:32
And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him: who were converted to the Lord. Acts 9:35
Now, whilst Peter was doubting within himself what the vision that he had seen should mean, behold the men who were sent from Cornelius, inquiring for Simon's house, stood at the gate. Acts 10:17
And it came to pass that when Peter was come in, Cornelius came to meet him and falling at his feet adored. Acts 10:25
And Cornelius said: Four days ago, unto this hour, I was praying in my house, at the ninth hour and behold a man stood before me in white apparel Acts 10:30
And the tidings came to the ears of the church that was at Jerusalem, touching these things: and they sent Barnabas as far as Antioch. Acts 11:22
Whom, when he had found, he brought to Antioch. And they conversed there in the church a whole year: and they taught a great multitude, so that at Antioch the disciples were first named Christians. Acts 11:26
¤ And at the same time, Herod the king stretched forth his hands, to afflict some of the church. Acts 12:1
And when he knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, whose name was Rhode. Acts 12:13
¤ Now there were in the church which was at Antioch prophets and doctors, among whom was Barnabas and Simon who was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene and Manahen who was the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. Acts 13:1
Then the proconsul, when he had seen what was done, believed, admiring at the doctrine of the Lord. Acts 13:12
And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked. Acts 14:8
Writing by their hands: The apostles and ancients, brethren, to the brethren of the Gentiles that are at Antioch and in Syria and Cilicia, greeting. Acts 15:23
And Paul and Barnabas continued at Antioch, teaching and preaching, with many others, the word of the Lord. Acts 15:35
And as they passed through the cities, they delivered unto them the decrees for to keep, that were decreed by the apostles and ancients who were at Jerusalem. Acts 16:4
And at midnight, Paul and Silas, praying, praised God. And they that were in prison heard them. Acts 16:25
Then calling for a light, he went in: and trembling, fell down at the feet of Paul and Silas. Acts 16:29
And when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was also preached by Paul at Berea, they came thither also, stirring up and troubling the multitude. Acts 17:13
Now whilst Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred within him, seeing the city wholly given to idolatry. Acts 17:16
And God indeed having winked at the times of this ignorance, now declareth unto men that all should every where do penance. Acts 17:30
Now a certain Jew, named Apollo, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus, one mighty in the scriptures. Acts 18:24
¤ And it came to pass, while Apollo was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper coasts, came to Ephesus and found certain disciples. Acts 19:1
And this became known to all the Jews and the Gentiles that dwelt at Ephesus. And fear fell on them all: and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. Acts 19:17
Now at that time there arose no small disturbance about the way of the Lord. Acts 19:23
So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought, but also the temple of great Diana shall be reputed for nothing! Yea, and her majesty shall begin to be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth. Acts 19:27
These, going before, stayed for us at Troas. Acts 20:5

And sailing thence, the day following we came over against Chios: and the next day we arrived at Samos: and the day following we came to Miletus. Acts 20:15
For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, lest he should be stayed any time in Asia. For he hasted, if it were possible for him, to keep the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem. Acts 20:16
Save that the Holy Ghost in every city witnesseth to me, saying: That bands and afflictions wait for me at Jerusalem. Acts 20:23

Then Paul said: I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged. To the Jews I have done no injury, as thou very well knowest. Acts 25:10
About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the ancients of the Jews came unto me, desiring condemnation against him. Acts 25:15

At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them that were in company with me. Acts 26:13

and it self that keepeth, and that which is kept, both shal be preserued: and the matrice being preserued rendreth agayne at some time the thinges that are growen in it. 4 Esd. 8:9
Behold now Lord thou hast shewed me a multitude of signes, which thou wilt beginne to doe in the latter times: but thou hast not shewed me at what time. 4 Esd. 8:63
