- But Judas ordered armed men to be ready in convenient places, lest some mischief might be suddenly practised by the enemies: so they made an agreeable conference. 2 Ma. 14:22

- And when they had seen some of his disciples eat bread with common, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault. Mk. 7:2

- And there was one called Barabbas, who was put in prison with some seditious men, who in the sedition had committed murder. Mk. 15:7

- Now Herod, the tetrarch, heard of all things that were done by him. And he was in a doubt, because it was said by some that John was risen from the dead: Lk. 9:7
- But by other some, that Elias had appeared: and by others, that one of the old prophets was risen again. Lk. 9:8
- But they answered and said: John the Baptist; but some say Elias: and others say that one of the former prophets is risen again. Lk. 9:19
- But I tell you of a truth: There are some standing here that shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God. Lk. 9:27
- But some of them said: He casteth out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of devils. Lk. 11:15
