- And he said to his men: The Lord be merciful unto me, that I may do no such thing to my master, the Lord's anointed, as to lay my hand upon him, because he is the Lord's anointed. 1 Ki. 24:6
- These men were very good to us, and gave us no trouble: Neither did we ever lose any thing all the time that we conversed with them in the desert. 1 Ki. 25:15

By thy welfare and by the welfare of thy soul I will not do this thing. 2 Ki. 11:11
- And David said to the messenger: Thus shalt thou say to Joab: Let not this thing discourage thee: for various is the event of war: and sometimes one, sometimes another is consumed by the sword: encourage thy warriors against the city, and exhort them that thou mayest overthrow it. 2 Ki. 11:25

- And the heart of the king of Syria, was troubled for this thing. And calling together his servants, he said: Why do you not tell me who it is that betrays me to the king of Israel? 4 Ki. 6:11

- Thy own wickedness shall reprove thee, and thy apostasy shall rebuke thee. Know thou, and see that it is an evil and a bitter thing for thee, to have left the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not with thee, saith the Lord the God of hosts. Jer. 2:19

- I speak an human thing, because of the infirmity of your flesh. For as you have yielded your members to serve uncleanness and iniquity, unto iniquity: so now yield your members to serve justice, unto sanctification. Rom. 6:19
- O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it: Why hast thou made me thus? Rom. 9:20
- Owe no man any thing, but to love one another. For he that loveth his neighbour hath fulfilled the law. Rom. 13:8
- I know, and am confident in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. Rom. 14:14
- It is good not to eat flesh and not to drink wine: nor any thing whereby thy brother is offended or scandalized or made weak. Rom. 14:21
