- Now I beseech those that shall read this book, that they be not shocked at these calamities, but that they consider the things that happened, not as being for the destruction, but for the correction of our nation. 2 Ma. 6:12

- Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because you tithe mint and anise and cummin and have left the weightier things of the law: judgment and mercy and faith. These things you ought to have done and not to leave those undone. Mt. 23:23
- And woe to them that are with child and that give suck in those days. Mt. 24:19
- And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened. Mt. 24:22

- When a strong man armed keepeth his court, those things are in peace which he possesseth. Lk. 11:21

- And some of them believed and were associated to Paul and Silas: and of those that served God and of the Gentiles a great multitude: and of noble women not a few. Acts 17:4
- Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, who received the word with all eagerness, daily searching the scriptures, whether these things were so. Acts 17:11
- And all laying hold on Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things. Acts 18:17

- And such as we think to be the less honourable members of the body, about these we put more abundant honour: and those that are our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. 1 Cor. 12:23
- Yea, unto those places that are beyond you to preach the gospel: not to glory in another man's rule, in those things that are made ready to our hand. 2 Cor. 10:16

- But continue thou in those things which thou hast learned and which have been committed to thee. Knowing of whom thou hast learned them: 2 Tim. 3:14
- And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be said: Heb. 3:5
- For unto us also it hath been declared in like manner as unto them. But the word of hearing did not profit them, not being mixed with faith of those things they heard. Heb. 4:2
- For it is impossible for those who were once illuminated, have tasted also the heavenly gift and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, Heb. 6:4
- For this is the testament which I will make to the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my laws into their mind: and in their heart will I write them. And I will be their God: and they shall be my people. Heb. 8:10
- And therefore he is the mediator of the new testament: that by means of his death for the redemption of those transgressions which were under the former testament, they that are called may receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Heb. 9:15
- And this is the testament which I will make unto them after those days, saith the Lord. I will give my laws in their hearts and on their minds will I write them: Heb. 10:16
- By faith Noe, having received an answer concerning those things which as yet were not seen, moved with fear, framed the ark for the saving of his house: by the which he condemned the world and was instituted heir of the justice which is by faith. Heb. 11:7
- And in that he saith: Yet once more, he signifieth the translation of the moveable things as made, that those things may remain which are immoveable. Heb. 12:27
- Be not led away with various and strange doctrines. For it is best that the heart be established with grace, not with meats: which have not profited those that walk in them. Heb. 13:9
- For the bodies of those beasts whose blood is brought into the holies by the high priest for sin are burned without the camp. Heb. 13:11
- And one of you say to them: Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; yet give them not those things that are necessary for the body, what shall it profit? Jas. 2:16
- Searching what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ in them did signify, when it foretold those sufferings that are in Christ and the glories that should follow. 1 Pet. 1:11
- To whom it was revealed that, not to themselves but to you, they ministered those things which are now declared to you by them that have preached the gospel to you: the Holy Ghost being sent down from heaven, on whom the angels desire to look. 1 Pet. 1:12
- In which also coming he preached to those spirits that were in prison: 1 Pet. 3:19
- And reducing the cities of the Sodomites and of the Gomorrhites into ashes, condemned them to be overthrown, making them an example to those that should after act wickedly, 2 Pet. 2:6
- But these men, as irrational beasts, naturally tending to the snare and to destruction, blaspheming those things which they know not, shall perish in their corruption: 2 Pet. 2:12
- For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error: 2 Pet. 2:18
- That you may be mindful of those words which I told you before from the holy prophets and of your apostles, of the precepts of the Lord and Saviour. 2 Pet. 3:2
- And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. 1 Jn. 2:2
- And whatsoever we shall ask, we shall receive of him: because we keep his commandments and do those things which are pleasing in his sight. 1 Jn. 3:22
- Blessed is he that readeth and heareth the words of this prophecy: and keepeth those things which are written in it. For the time is at hand. Apoc. 1:3

- For I meant not to aske of thy superiour thinges, but of those that passe by vs dayly. For what cause Israel is geuen into reproche to the gentiles, the people whom thou hast loued, is geuen to impious tribes, & the law of our fathers is brought to destruction, & the written ordinances are no where: 4 Esd. 4:23

- but I sate in the fielde seuen dayes, as he commanded me: and I did eate of the flowers of the field only, of the herbes was my meate made in those dayes. 4 Esd. 12:51
- For as I thinke in my iudgement, woe to them that were leaft in those dayes: & much more woe to them that were not leaft. 4 Esd. 13:16
- I wil not now kepe silence of their impieties which they doe irreligiously, neither wil I beare with those thinges, which they practise vniustly. Behold the innocent & iust bloud crieth to me, & the soules of the iust crie continually. 4 Esd. 15:8
