Woe to us: for there was no such great joy yesterday, and the day before: Woe to us. Who shall deliver us from the hand of these high Gods? these are the Gods that struck Egypt with all the plagues in the desert. 1 Ki. 4:8

And Jonathan said to the young man that bore his armour: Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised, it may be the Lord will do for us: because it is easy for the Lord to save either by many, or by few. 1 Ki. 14:6
If they shall speak thus to us: Stay till we come to you: let us stand still in our place, and not go up to them. 1 Ki. 14:9
But if they shall say: Come up to us: let us go up, because the Lord hath delivered them into our hands, this shall be a sign unto us. 1 Ki. 14:10
And the men of the garrison spoke to Jonathan, and to his armourbearer, and said: Come up to us, and we will shew you a thing. And Jonathan said to his armourbearer: Let us go up, follow me: for the Lord hath delivered them into the hands of Israel. 1 Ki. 14:12
And Saul said to the people that were with him: Look, and see who is gone from us. And when they had sought, it was found that Jonathan and his armourbearer were not there. 1 Ki. 14:17

But they answered him: A man met us, and said to us: Go, and return to the king, that sent you, and you shall say to him: Thus saith the Lord: Is it because there was no God in Israel, that thou sendest to Beelzebub, the god of Accaron? Therefore thou shalt not come down from the bed, on which thou art gone up, but thou shalt surely die. 4 Ki. 1:6
And the king of Israel said: Alas, alas, alas, the Lord hath gathered us three kings together, to deliver us into the hands of Moab. 4 Ki. 3:10
And she said to her husband: I perceive that this is a holy man of God, who often passeth by us. 4 Ki. 4:9

But they answered: It is false; but rather do thou tell us. And he said to them: Thus and thus did he speak to me: and he said: Thus saith the Lord: I have anointed thee king over Israel. 4 Ki. 9:12
Therefore they that were over the king's house, and the rulers of the city, and the ancients, and the bringers up of the children, sent to Jehu, saying: We are thy servants: whatsoever thou shalt command us we will do; we will not make us any king: do thou all that pleaseth thee. 4 Ki. 10:5

Neither let him make you trust in the Lord, saying: The Lord will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of the Assyrians. 4 Ki. 18:30
Till I come, and take you away, to a land, like to your own land, a fruitful land, and plentiful in wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olives, and oil, and honey, and you shall live, and not die. Hearken not to Ezechias, who deceiveth you, saying: The Lord will deliver us. 4 Ki. 18:32

Lest as the Lord at first struck us, because you were not present, the same should now also come to pass, by our doing some thing against the law. 1 Par. 15:13

And he said to Juda: Let us build these cities, and compass them with walls, and fortify them with towers, and gates, and bars, while all is quiet from wars, because we have sought the Lord the God of our fathers, and he hath given us peace round about. So they built, and there was no hinderance in building. 2 Par. 14:7
And he called upon the Lord God, and said: Lord, there is no difference with thee, whether thou help with few, or with many: help us, O Lord our God: for with confidence in thee, and in thy name we are come against this multitude. O Lord thou art our God, let not man prevail against thee. 2 Par. 14:11
If evils fall upon us, the sword of judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand in thy presence before this house, in which thy name is called upon: and we will cry to thee in our afflictions, and thou wilt hear, and save us. 2 Par. 20:9
Do the contrary, and endeavour to cast us out of the possession which thou hast delivered to us. 2 Par. 20:11
O our God, wilt thou not then judge them? as for us we have not strength enough, to be able to resist this multitude, which cometh violently upon us. But as we know not what to do, we can only turn our eyes to thee. 2 Par. 20:12
Then Amasias king of Juda taking very bad counsel, sent to Joas the son of Joachaz the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying: Come, let us see one another. 2 Par. 25:17

Let us make a covenant with the Lord our God, to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the will of the Lord, and of them that fear the commandment of the Lord our God: let it be done according to the law. 1 Esd. 10:3

And I answered them, and said to them: The God of heaven he helpeth us, and we are his servants: let us rise up and build: but you have no part, nor justice, nor remembrance in Jerusalem. 2 Esd. 2:20
And it came to pass, that when the Jews that dwelt by them came and told us ten times, out of all the places from whence they came to us, 2 Esd. 4:12
And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that the thing had been told us, that God defeated their counsel. And we returned all of us to the walls, every man to his work. 2 Esd. 4:15
In what place soever you shall hear the sound of the trumpet, run all thither unto us: our God will fight for us. 2 Esd. 4:20

And I said to them: We, as you know, have redeemed according to our ability our brethren the Jews, that were sold to the Gentiles: and will you then sell your brethren, for us to redeem them? And they held their peace, and found not what to answer. 2 Esd. 5:8
Both I and my brethren, and my servants, have lent money and corn to many: let us all agree not to call for it again; let us forgive the debt that is owing to us. 2 Esd. 5:10
The Jews also and the magistrates to the number of one hundred and fifty men, were at my table, besides them that came to us from among the nations that were round about us. 2 Esd. 5:17
Sanaballat and Gossem sent to me, saying: Come, and let us make a league together in the villages, in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief. 2 Esd. 6:2
For all these men thought to frighten us, thinking that our hands would cease from the work, and that we would leave off. Wherefore I strengthened my hands the more: 2 Esd. 6:9
And I went into the house of Samaia the son of Delaia, the son of Metabeel privately. And he said: Let us consult together in the house of God in the midst of the temple: and let us shut the doors of the temple, for they will come to kill thee, and in the night they will come to slay thee. 2 Esd. 6:10
And it came to pass when all our enemies heard of it, that all nations which were round about us, were afraid, and were cast down within themselves, for they perceived that this work was the work of God. 2 Esd. 6:16

Did not our fathers do these things, and our God brought all this evil upon us, and upon this city? And you bring more wrath upon Israel by violating the sabbath. 2 Esd. 13:18

And when the Lord our God shall give this liberty to his servants, let God be with thee also in the midst of us: that as it shall please thee, so thou with all thine mayst converse with us. Jud. 6:18
Said: God be judge between us and thee, for thou hast done evil against us, in that thou wouldst not speak peaceably with the Assyrians, and for this cause God hath sold us into their hands. Jud. 7:13
And therefore there is no one to help us, while we are cast down before their eyes in thirst, and sad destruction. Jud. 7:14
We call to witness this day heaven and earth, and the God of our fathers, who taketh vengeance upon us according to our sins, conjuring you to deliver now the city into the hand of the army of Holofernes, that our end may be short by the edge of the sword, which is made longer by the drought of thirst. Jud. 7:17
Have thou mercy on us, because thou art good, or punish our iniquities by chastising us thyself, and deliver not them that trust in thee to a people that knoweth not thee, Jud. 7:20
Ozias rising up all in tears, said: Be of good courage, my brethren, and let us wait these five days for mercy from the Lord. Jud. 7:23
And they came to her, and she said to them: What is this word, by which Ozias hath consented to give up the city to the Assyrians, if within five days there come no aid to us? Jud. 8:10
But forasmuch as the Lord is patient, let us be penitent for this same thing, and with many tears let us beg his pardon: Jud. 8:14
And therefore let us humble our souls before him, and continuing in an humble spirit, in his service: Jud. 8:16
Let us ask the Lord with tears, that according to his will so he would shew his mercy to us: that as our heart is troubled by their pride, so also we may glorify in our humility. Jud. 8:17
Let us humbly wait for his consolation, and the Lord our God will require our blood of the afflictions of our enemies, and he will humble all the nations that shall rise up against us, and bring them to disgrace. Jud. 8:20
As for us therefore let us not revenge ourselves for these things which we suffer. Jud. 8:26
But esteeming these very punishments to be less than our sins deserve, let us believe that these scourges of the Lord, with which like servants we are chastised, have happened for our amendment, and not for our destruction. Jud. 8:27
Now therefore pray for us, for thou art a holy woman, and one fearing God. Jud. 8:29
But now tell me, for what cause hast thou left them, and why it hath pleased thee to come to us? Jud. 11:3
And Judith from afar off cried to the watchmen upon the walls: Open the gates for God is with us, who hath shewn his power in Israel. Jud. 13:13
Go in, and awake him, for the mice, coming out of their holes, have presumed to challenge us to fight. Jud. 14:12
He hath set his camp in the midst of his people, to deliver us from the hand of all our enemies. Jud. 16:4

Wherefore having learned this, and seeing one nation in opposition to all mankind using perverse laws, and going against our commandments, and disturbing the peace and concord of the provinces subject to us, Esther 13:5
Remember, (said he,) the days of thy low estate, how thou wast brought up by my hand, because Aman the second after the king hath spoken against us unto death. Esther 15:2

But when Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came up to our land, we said: Come, let us go into Jerusalem from the face of the army of the Chaldeans, and from the face of the army of Syria: and we have remained in Jerusalem. Jer. 35:11

But if the princes shall hear that I have spoken with thee, and shall come to thee, and say to thee: Tell us what thou hast said to the king, hide it not from us, and we will not kill thee: and also what the king said to thee: Jer. 38:25

Saying: Let us pass through your land, to go into our own country, and no man shall hurt you; we will only pass through on foot. But they would not open to them. 1 Ma. 5:48
And he said: Let us also get us a name, and let us go fight against the Gentiles that are round about us. 1 Ma. 5:57
And for this they of our nation are alienated from us, and have slain as many of us as they could find, and have spoiled our inheritances. 1 Ma. 6:24

Wherefore he made haste to go, and say to the king and to the captains of the army: We decay daily, and our provision of victuals is small, and the place that we lay siege to is strong, and it lieth upon us to take order for the affairs of the kingdom. 1 Ma. 6:57
Now, therefore, let us come to an agreement with these men, and make peace with them and with all their nation. 1 Ma. 6:58

Judas Machabeus, and his brethren, and the people of the Jews, have sent us to you to make alliance and peace with you, and that we may be registered your confederates and friends. 1 Ma. 8:20

What is this that we have done, that Alexander hath prevented us to gain the friendship of the Jews to strengthen himself? 1 Ma. 10:23
Whereas you have kept covenant with us, and have continued in our friendship, and have not joined with our enemies, we have heard of it, and are glad. 1 Ma. 10:26
Wherefore now continue still to keep fidelity towards us, and we will reward you with good things, for what you have done in our behalf. 1 Ma. 10:27
And have joined battle with him, and both he and his army have been destroyed by us, and we are placed in the throne of his kingdom: 1 Ma. 10:53
Now, therefore, let us make friendship one with another: and give me now thy daughter to wife, and I will be thy son in law, and I will give both thee and her gifts worthy of thee. 1 Ma. 10:54
Saying: Thou alone standest against us, and I am laughed at and reproached, because thou shewest thy power against us in the mountains. 1 Ma. 10:70

And he sent ambassadors to Demetrius, saying: Come, let us make a league between us, and I will give thee my daughter whom Alexander hath, and thou shalt reign in the kingdom of thy father. 1 Ma. 11:9
We have determined to do good to the nation of the Jews, who are our friends, and keep the things that are just with us, for their good will which they bear towards us. 1 Ma. 11:33

And a vision was shewed to Paul in the night, which was a man of Macedonia standing and beseeching him and saying: Pass over into Macedonia and help us. Acts 16:9
And as soon as he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go into Macedonia: being assured that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. Acts 16:10
And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying: If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and abide there. And she constrained us. Acts 16:15
And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain girl having a pythonical spirit met us, who brought to her masters much gain by divining. Acts 16:16
This same following Paul and us, cried out, saying: These men are the servants of the Most High God, who preach unto you the way of salvation. Acts 16:17
And preach a fashion which it is not lawful for us to receive nor observe, being Romans. Acts 16:21
But Paul said to them: They have beaten us publicly, uncondemned, men that are Romans, and have cast us into prison. And now do they thrust us out privately? Not so: but let them come. Acts 16:37
And let us out themselves. And the serjeants told these words to the magistrates. And they were afraid: hearing that they were Romans. Acts 16:38
That they should seek God, if haply they may feel after him or find him, although he be not far from every one of us. Acts 17:27

And when for many days we had sailed slowly and were scarce come over against Gnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed near Crete by Salmone. Acts 27:7

And hope confoundeth not: because the charity of God is poured forth in our hearts, by the Holy Ghost who is given to us. Rom. 5:5
But God commendeth his charity towards us: because when as yet we were sinners according to the time. Christ died for us. Rom. 5:8
That the justification of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the spirit. Rom. 8:4
For I reckon that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with the glory to come that shall be revealed in us. Rom. 8:18
Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity. For, we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit himself asketh for us with unspeakable groanings, Rom. 8:26
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who is against us? Rom. 8:31
He that spared not even his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how hath he not also, with him, given us all things? Rom. 8:32
Who is he that shall condemn? Christ Jesus that died: yea that is risen also again, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Rom. 8:34
Who then shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation? Or distress? Or famine? Or nakedness? Or danger? Or persecution? Or the sword? Rom. 8:35
But in all these things we overcome, because of him that hath loved us. Rom. 8:37
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 8:39
Even us, whom also he hath called, not only of the Jews but also of the Gentiles. Rom. 9:24
And as Isaias foretold: Unless the Lord of Sabbath had left us a seed, we had been made as Sodom and we had been like unto Gomorrha. Rom. 9:29
And having different gifts, according to the grace that is given us, either prophecy, to be used according to the rule of faith; Rom. 12:6
And that, knowing the season, that it is now the hour for us to rise from sleep. For now our salvation is nearer than when we believed. Rom. 13:11
The night is passed And the day is at hand. Let us, therefore cast off the works of darkness and put on the armour of light. Rom. 13:12
Let us walk honestly, as in the day: not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and impurities, not in contention and envy. Rom. 13:13
For none of us liveth to himself: and no man dieth to himself. Rom. 14:7
Therefore every one of us shall render account to God for himself. Rom. 14:12
Let us not therefore judge one another any more. But judge this rather, that you put not a stumblingblock or a scandal in your brother's way. Rom. 14:13
Therefore, let us follow after the things that are of peace and keep the things that are of edification, one towards another. Rom. 14:19
For the word of the cross, to them indeed that perish, is foolishness: but to them that are saved, that is, to us, it is the power of God. 1 Cor. 1:18

For I think that God hath set forth us apostles, the last, as it were men appointed to death. We are made a spectacle to the world and to angels and to men. 1 Cor. 4:9
Therefore, let us feast, not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness: but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 1 Cor. 5:8

But God, who comforteth the humble, comforted us by the coming of Titus. 2 Cor. 7:6

And not as we hoped: but they gave their own selves, first to the Lord, then to us by the will of God; 2 Cor. 8:5

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power and of love and of sobriety. 2 Tim. 1:7
Who hath delivered us and called us by his holy calling, not according to our own works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the times of the world: 2 Tim. 1:9
Keep the good thing committed to thy trust by the Holy Ghost who dwelleth in us. 2 Tim. 1:14
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us. 2 Tim. 2:12
The sound word that can not be blamed: that he who is on the contrary part may be afraid, having no evil to say of us. Tit. 2:8
Instructing us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly and justly and godly in this world, Tit. 2:12
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and might cleanse to himself a people acceptable, a pursuer of good works. Tit. 2:14
Not by the works of justice which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, by the laver of regeneration and renovation of the Holy Ghost. Tit. 3:5

In these days, hath spoken to us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the world. Heb. 1:2
How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation? Which, having begun to be declared by the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard him. Heb. 2:3
¤ Let us fear therefore lest, the promise being left of entering into his rest, any of you should be thought to be wanting. Heb. 4:1
For unto us also it hath been declared in like manner as unto them. But the word of hearing did not profit them, not being mixed with faith of those things they heard. Heb. 4:2
Let us hasten therefore to enter into that rest: lest any man fall into the same example of unbelief. Heb. 4:11
Having therefore a great high priest that hath passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God: let us hold fast our confession. Heb. 4:14
Let us go therefore with confidence to the throne of grace: that we may obtain mercy and find grace in seasonable aid. Heb. 4:16
¤ Wherefore, leaving the word of the beginning of Christ, let us go on to things more perfect: not laying again the foundation of penance from dead works and of faith towards God, Heb. 6:1
That by two immutable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have the strongest comfort, who have fled for refuge to hold fast the hope set before us. Heb. 6:18
Where the forerunner Jesus is entered for us, made a high priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedech. Heb. 6:20
Whereby he is able also to save for ever them that come to God by him; always living to make intercession for us. Heb. 7:25
For Jesus is not entered into the Holies made with hands, the patterns of the true: but into Heaven itself, that he may appear now in the presence of God for us. Heb. 9:24
And the Holy Ghost also doth testify this to us. For after that he said: Heb. 10:15
A new and living way which he hath dedicated for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh: Heb. 10:20
Let us draw near with a true heart, in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with clean water. Heb. 10:22
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering (for he is faithful that hath promised): Heb. 10:23
And let us consider one another, to provoke unto charity and to good works: Heb. 10:24
God providing some better thing for us, that they should not be perfected without us. Heb. 11:40
¤ And therefore we also having so great a cloud of witnesses over our head, laying aside every weight and sin which surrounds us, let us run by patience to the fight proposed to us: Heb. 12:1
And they indeed for a few days, according to their own pleasure, instructed us: but he, for our profit, that we might receive his sanctification. Heb. 12:10
See that you refuse him not that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke upon the earth, much more shall not we that turn away from him that speaketh to us from heaven. Heb. 12:25
Therefore, receiving an immoveable kingdom, we have grace: whereby let us serve, pleasing God, with fear and reverence. Heb. 12:28
Let us go forth therefore to him without the camp, bearing his reproach. Heb. 13:13
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise always to God, that is to say, the fruit of lips confessing to his name. Heb. 13:15
Pray for us. For we trust we have a good conscience, being willing to behave ourselves well in all things. Heb. 13:18
For of his own will hath he begotten us by the word of truth, that we might be some beginning of his creatures. Jas. 1:18
For if we put bits into the mouths of horses, that they may obey us: and we turn about their whole body. Jas. 3:3
Elias was a man passible like unto us: and with prayer he prayed that it might not rain upon the earth. And it rained not for three years and six months. Jas. 5:17
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy hath regenerated us unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead: 1 Pet. 1:3
For unto this are you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example that you should follow his steps. 1 Pet. 2:21

For the life was manifested: and we have seen and do bear witness and declare unto you the life eternal, which was with the Father and hath appeared to us. 1 Jn. 1:2
That which we have seen and have heard, we declare unto you: that you also may have fellowship with us and our fellowship may be with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 1 Jn. 1:3
But if we walk in the light, as he also is in the light, we have fellowship one with another: And the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 Jn. 1:7
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 Jn. 1:8
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all iniquity. 1 Jn. 1:9
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar: and his word is not in us. 1 Jn. 1:10
They went out from us but they were not of us. For if they had been of us, they would no doubt have remained with us: but that they may be manifest, that they are not all of us. 1 Jn. 2:19
And this is the promise which he hath promised us, life everlasting. 1 Jn. 2:25
¤ Behold what manner of charity the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called and should be the sons of God. Therefore the world knoweth not us, because it knew not him. 1 Jn. 3:1
In this we have known the charity of God, because he hath laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1 Jn. 3:16
