- And brought the letter to the king of Israel, in these words: When thou shalt receive this letter, know that I have sent to thee Naaman, my servant, that thou mayst heal him of his leprosy. 4 Ki. 5:6
- And when Eliseus, the man of God, had heard this, to wit, that the king of Israel had rent his garments, he sent to him, saying: Why hast thou rent thy garments? let him come to me, and let him know that there is a prophet in Israel. 4 Ki. 5:8
- And returning to the man of God, with all his train, he came, and stood before him, and said: In truth, I know there is no other God, in all the earth, but only in Israel: I beseech thee, therefore, take a blessing of thy servant. 4 Ki. 5:15

So he sent a man before: and before that messenger came, he said to the ancients: Do you know that this son of a murderer hath sent to cut off my head? - And he arose in the night, and said to his servants: I tell you what the Syrians have done to us: They know that we suffer great famine, and therefore they are gone out of the camp, and lie hid in the fields, saying: When they come out of the city, we shall take them alive, and then we may get into the city. 4 Ki. 7:12
- And Hazael said to him: Why doth my lord weep? And he said: Because I know the evil that thou wilt do to the children of Israel. - But snow and ice endured the force of fire, and melted not: that they might know that the fire, burning in the hail, and flashing in the rain, destroyed the fruits of the enemies. Wis. 16:22
- That thy children, O Lord, whom thou lovedst, might know that it is not the growing of fruits that nourisheth men, but thy word preserveth them that believe in thee. Wis. 16:26
- For the visions that troubled them foreshewed these things, lest they should perish, and not know why they suffered these evils. Wis. 18:19
- My children behold the generations of men: and know ye that no one hath hoped in the Lord, and hath been confounded. Sir. 2:11

- A mischievous counsel shall be rolled back upon the author, and he shall not know from whence it cometh to him. Sir. 27:30
- What doth he know, that hath not been tried? A man that hath much experience, shall think of many things: and he that hath learned many things, shall shew forth understanding. Sir. 34:9

- And send thy fear upon the nations, that have not sought after thee: that they may know that there is no God beside thee, and that they may shew forth thy wonders. Sir. 36:2

- Beware of a counsellor. And know before what need he hath: for he will devise to his own mind: Sir. 37:9
- But be continually with a holy man, whomsoever thou shalt know to observe the fear of God, Sir. 37:15
- O how desirable are all his works, and what we can know is but as a spark! Sir. 42:23

- And the book shall be given to one that knoweth no letters, and it shall be said to him: Read: and he shall answer: I know no letters. Isa. 29:12
- And they that erred in spirit, shall know understanding, and they that murmured, shall learn the law. Isa. 29:24

- That they may know who are from the rising of the sun, and they who are from the west, that there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is none else: Isa. 45:6
- And now hear these things, thou that art delicate, and dwellest confidently, that sayest in thy heart: I am, and there is none else besides me: I shall not sit as a widow, and I shall not know barrenness. Isa. 47:8
- Evil shall come upon thee, and thou shalt not know the rising thereof: and calamity shall fall violently upon thee, which thou canst not keep off: misery shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know. Isa. 47:11
- Thou hast neither heard, nor known, neither was thy ear opened of old. For I know that transgressing thou wilt transgress, and I have called thee a transgressor from the womb. Isa. 48:8

- The Lord hath given me a learned tongue, that I should know how to uphold by word him that is weary: he wakeneth in the morning, in the morning he wakeneth my ear, that I may hear him as a master. Isa. 50:4
- The Lord God is my helper, therefore am I not confounded: therefore have I set my face as a most hard rock, and I know that I shall not be confounded. Isa. 50:7
- Hearken to me, you that know what is just, my people who have my law in your heart: fear ye not the reproach of men, and be not afraid of their blasphemies. Isa. 51:7

- As a holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts: so shall the waste cities be full of flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord. Ezec. 36:38

- And the king said to them: I saw a dream: and being troubled in mind I know not what I saw. Dan. 2:3
- The king answered and said: I know for certain, that you seek to gain time, since you know that the thing is gone from me. Dan. 2:8
- If, therefore, you tell me not the dream, there is one sentence concerning you, that you have also framed a lying interpretation, and full of deceit, to speak before me till the time pass away. Tell me, therefore, the dream, that I may know that you also give a true interpretation thereof. Dan. 2:9
- And Daniel made answer before the king, and said: The secret that the king desireth to know, none of the wise men, or the philosophers, or the diviners, or the soothsayers, can declare to the king. Dan. 2:27
- To me also this secret is revealed, not by any wisdom that I have more than all men alive: but that the interpretation might be made manifest to the king, and thou mightest know the thoughts of thy mind. Dan. 2:30
- And let them know that thou art the Lord, the only God, and glorious over all the world. Dan. A:22
- Baltassar, prince of the diviners, because I know that thou hast in thee the spirit of the holy gods, and that no secret is impossible to thee, tell me the visions of my dreams that I have seen, and the interpretation of them? Dan. 4:9
- This is the decree by the sentence of the watchers, and the word and demand of the holy ones: till the living know, that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men: and he will give it to whomsoever it shall please him, and he will appoint the basest man over it. Dan. 4:17
- They shall cast thee out from among men, and thy dwelling shall be with cattle, and with wild beasts, and thou shalt eat grass, as an ox, and shalt be wet with the dew of heaven: and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth over the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. - Or know you not that he who is joined to a harlot is made one body? For they shall be, saith he, two in one flesh. 1 Cor. 6:16
- Or know you not that your members are the temple of the Holy Ghost, who is in you, whom you have from God: and you are not your own? 1 Cor. 6:19
- ¤ Now concerning those things that are sacrificed to idols: we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up: but charity edifieth. 1 Cor. 8:1
- And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he hath not yet known as he ought to know. 1 Cor. 8:2
- But as for the meats that are sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world and that there is no God but one. 1 Cor. 8:4
- Know you not that they who work in the holy place eat the things that are of the holy place; and they that serve the altar partake with the altar? 1 Cor. 9:13
- Know you not that they that run in the race, all run indeed, but one receiveth the prize. So run that you may obtain. 1 Cor. 9:24
- But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ: and the head of the woman is the man: and the head of Christ is God. 1 Cor. 11:3
