- These are the instruments of the tabernacle of the testimony, which were counted according to the commandment of Moses, in the ceremonies of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest: Ex. 38:21
- The houses of Levites, which are in cities, may always be redeemed. Lev. 25:32
- If they be not redeemed, in the jubilee they shall all return to the owners: because the houses of the cities of the Levites are for their possessions among the children of Israel. Lev. 25:33
- But the Levites in the tribes of their families were not numbered with them. Num. 1:47
