And she adopted him for a son, and called him Moses, saying: Because I took him out of the water. Ex. 2:10
In those days, after Moses was grown up, he went out to his brethren: and saw their affliction, and an Egyptian striking one of the Hebrews, his brethren. Ex. 2:11
But he answered: Who hath appointed thee prince and judge over us? wilt thou kill me, as thou didst yesterday kill the Egyptian? Moses feared, and said: How is this come to be known? Ex. 2:14
And Pharao heard of this word, and sought to kill Moses: but he fled from his sight, and abode in the land of Madian, and he sat down by a well. Ex. 2:15
And the shepherds came and drove them away: and Moses arose, and defending the maids, watered their sheep. Ex. 2:17
And Moses swore that he would dwell with him. And he took Sephora his daughter to wife: Ex. 2:21
¤ Now Moses fed the sheep of Jethro, his father in law, the priest of Madian: and he drove the flock to the inner parts of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, Horeb. Ex. 3:1
And Moses said: I will go, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. Ex. 3:3
And when the Lord saw that he went forward to see, he called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said: Moses, Moses. And he answered: Here I am. Ex. 3:4
And he said: I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Moses hid his face: for he durst not look at God. Ex. 3:6
And Moses said to God: Who am I that I should go to Pharao, and should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? Ex. 3:11
Moses said to God: Lo, I shall go to the children of Israel, and say to them: The God of your fathers hath sent me to you. If they shall say to me: What is his name? What shall I say to them? Ex. 3:13
God said to Moses: I AM WHO AM. He said: Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel: HE WHO IS, hath sent me to you. Ex. 3:14
And God said again to Moses: Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel: The Lord God of your fathers the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob hath sent me to you; this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. Ex. 3:15
¤ Moses answered, and said: They will not believe me, nor hear my voice, but they will say: The Lord hath not appeared to thee. Ex. 4:1
And the Lord said: Cast it down upon the ground. He cast it down, and it was turned into a serpent, so that Moses fled from it. Ex. 4:3
Moses said: I beseech thee, Lord, I am not eloquent from yesterday and the day before; and since thou hast spoken to thy servant, I have more impediment and slowness of tongue. Ex. 4:10
The Lord being angry at Moses, said: Aaron the Levite is thy brother, I know that he is eloquent: behold he cometh forth to meet thee, and seeing thee, shall be glad at heart. Ex. 4:14
Moses went his way, and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said to him; I will go and return to my brethren into Egypt, that I may see if they be yet alive. And Jethro said to him: Go in peace. Ex. 4:18
And the Lord said to Moses, in Madian: Go, and return into Egypt; for they are all dead that sought thy life. Ex. 4:19
Moses therefore took his wife, and his sons, and set them upon an ass; and returned into Egypt, carrying the rod of God in his hand. Ex. 4:20
And the Lord said to Aaron: Go into the desert to meet Moses. And he went forth to meet him in the mountain of God, and kissed him. Ex. 4:27
And Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord, by which he had sent him, and the signs that he had commanded. Ex. 4:28
And Aaron spoke all the words which the Lord had said to Moses: and he wrought the signs before the people. Ex. 4:30
¤ After these things, Moses and Aaron went in, and said to Pharao: Thus saith the Lord God of Israel: Let my people go, that they may sacrifice to me in the desert. Ex. 5:1
The king of Egypt said to them: Why do you Moses and Aaron draw off the people from their works? Get you gone to your burdens. Ex. 5:4
And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood over against them as they came out from Pharao: Ex. 5:20
And Moses returned to the Lord, and said: Lord, why hast thou afflicted this people? wherefore hast thou sent me? Ex. 5:22
¤ And the Lord said to Moses: Now thou shalt see what I will do to Pharao: for by a mighty hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he cast them out of his land. Ex. 6:1
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: I am the Lord Ex. 6:2
And Moses told all this to the children of Israel: but they did not hearken to him, for anguish of spirit, and most painful work. Ex. 6:9
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Ex. 6:10
Moses answered before the Lord: Behold the children of Israel do not hearken to me: and how will Pharao hear me, especially as I am of uncircumcised lips? Ex. 6:12
And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, and he gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharao the king of Egypt, that they should bring forth the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt. Ex. 6:13
And Amram took to wife Jochabed his aunt by the father's side: and she bore him Aaron and Moses. And the years of Amram's life, were a hundred and thirty-seven. Ex. 6:20
These are Aaron and Moses, whom the Lord commanded to bring forth the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their companies. Ex. 6:26
These are they that speak to Pharao, king of Egypt, in order to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these are that Moses and Aaron, Ex. 6:27
In the day when the Lord spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt. Ex. 6:28
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: I am the Lord; speak thou to Pharao, king of Egypt, all that I say to thee. Ex. 6:29
And Moses said before the Lord: Lo I am of uncircumcised lips, how will Pharao hear me? Ex. 6:30
¤ And the Lord said to Moses: Behold, I have appointed thee the god of Pharao; and Aaron, thy brother, shall be thy prophet. Ex. 7:1
And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord had commanded; so did they. Ex. 7:6
And Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three, when they spoke to Pharao. Ex. 7:7
And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron: Ex. 7:8
So Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharao, and did as the Lord had commanded. And Aaron took the rod before Pharao and his servants, and it was turned into a serpent. Ex. 7:10
And the Lord said to Moses: Pharao's heart is hardened, he will not let the people go. Ex. 7:14

And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord had commanded: and lifting up the rod, he struck the water of the river before Pharao and his servants: and it was turned into blood. Ex. 7:20
¤ And the Lord said to Moses: Go in to Pharao, and thou shalt say to him: Thus saith the Lord: Let my people go to sacrifice to me. Ex. 8:1
And the Lord said to Moses: Say to Aaron: Stretch forth thy hand upon the streams, and upon the rivers and the pools, and bring forth frogs upon the land of Egypt. Ex. 8:5
But Pharao called Moses and Aaron, and said to them: Pray ye to the Lord to take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go to sacrifice to the Lord. Ex. 8:8
And Moses said to Pharao: Set me a time when I shall pray for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, that the frogs may be driven away from thee and from thy house, and from thy servants, and from thy people; and may remain only in the river. Ex. 8:9
And Moses and Aaron went forth from Pharao: and Moses cried to the Lord for the promise, which he had made to Pharao concerning the frogs. Ex. 8:12
And the Lord did according to the word of Moses: and the frogs died out of the houses, and out of the villages, and out of the fields: Ex. 8:13
And the Lord said to Moses: Say to Aaron: Stretch forth thy rod, and strike the dust of the earth; and may there be sciniphs in all the land of Egypt. Ex. 8:16
The Lord also said to Moses: Arise early, and stand before Pharao; for he will go forth to the waters: and thou shalt say to him: Thus saith the Lord: Let my people go to sacrifice to me. Ex. 8:20
And Pharao called Moses and Aaron, and said to them: Go and sacrifice to your God in this land. Ex. 8:25
And Moses said: It cannot be so: for we shall sacrifice the abominations of the Egyptians to the Lord our God: now if we kill those things which the Egyptians worship, in their presence, they will stone us. Ex. 8:26
And Moses said: I will go out from thee, and will pray to the Lord: and the flies shall depart from Pharao, and from his servants, and from his people to morrow: but do not deceive any more, in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord. Ex. 8:29
So Moses went out from Pharao, and prayed to the Lord. Ex. 8:30
¤ And the Lord said to Moses: Go in to Pharao, and speak to him: Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews: Let my people go to sacrifice to me. Ex. 9:1
And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron: Take to you handfuls of ashes out of the chimney, and let Moses sprinkle it in the air in the presence of Pharao. Ex. 9:8
And they took ashes out of the chimney, and stood before Pharao, and Moses sprinkled it in the air; and there came boils with swelling blains in men and beasts. Ex. 9:10
Neither could the magicians stand before Moses, for the boils that were upon them, and in all the land of Egypt. Ex. 9:11
And the Lord hardened Pharao's heart, and he hearkened not unto them, as the Lord had spoken to Moses. Ex. 9:12
And the Lord said to Moses: Arise in the morning, and stand before Pharao, and thou shalt say to him: Thus saith the Lord, the God of the Hebrews: Let my people go to sacrifice to me. Ex. 9:13
And the Lord said to Moses: Stretch forth thy hand towards heaven, that there may be hail in the whole land of Egypt upon men, and upon beasts, and upon every herb of the field in the land of Egypt. Ex. 9:22
And Moses stretched forth his rod towards heaven, and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and lightning running along the ground: and the Lord rained hail upon the land of Egypt. Ex. 9:23
And Pharao sent and called Moses and Aaron, saying to them: I have sinned this time also, the Lord is just: I and my people, are wicked. Ex. 9:27
Moses said: As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will stretch forth my hands to the Lord, and the thunders shall cease, and the hail shall be no more: that thou mayst know that the earth is the Lord's: Ex. 9:29
And when Moses was gone from Pharao out of the city, he stretched forth his hands to the Lord: and the thunders and the hail ceased, neither did there drop any more rain upon the earth. Ex. 9:33
And his heart was hardened, and the heart of his servants, and it was made exceeding hard: neither did he let the children of Israel go, as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses. Ex. 9:35
¤ And the Lord said to Moses: Go in to Pharao; for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants: that I may work these my signs in him, Ex. 10:1
Therefore Moses and Aaron went in to Pharao, and said to him: Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews: How long refusest thou to submit to me? let my people go, to sacrifice to me. Ex. 10:3
And they called back Moses, and Aaron, to Pharao; and he said to them: Go, sacrifice to the Lord your God: who are they that shall go? Ex. 10:8
Moses said: We will go with our young and old, with our sons and daughters, with our sheep and herds: for it is the solemnity of the Lord our God. Ex. 10:9
And the Lord said to Moses: Stretch forth thy hand upon the land of Egypt unto the locust, that it may come upon it, and devour every herb that is left after the hail. Ex. 10:12
And Moses stretched forth his rod upon the land of Egypt: and the Lord brought a burning wind all that day, and night; and when it was morning, the burning wind raised the locusts. Ex. 10:13
Wherefore Pharao in haste called Moses and Aaron, and said to them: I have sinned against the Lord your God, and against you. Ex. 10:16
And Moses going forth from the presence of Pharao, prayed to the Lord: Ex. 10:18
And the Lord said to Moses: Stretch out thy hand towards heaven: and may there be darkness upon the land of Egypt so thick that it may be felt. Ex. 10:21
And Moses stretched forth his hand towards heaven: and there came horrible darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days. Ex. 10:22
And Pharao called Moses and Aaron, and said to them: Go, sacrifice to the Lord: let your sheep only, and herds remain, let your children go with you. Ex. 10:24
Moses said: Thou shalt give us also sacrifices and burnt-offerings, to the Lord our God. Ex. 10:25
And Pharao said to Moses: Get thee from me, and beware thou see not my face any more: in what day soever thou shalt come in my sight, thou shalt die. Ex. 10:28
Moses answered: So shall it be as thou hast spoken, I will not see thy face anymore. Ex. 10:29
¤ And the Lord said to Moses: Yet one plague more will I bring upon Pharao and Egypt, and after that he shall let you go, and thrust you out. Ex. 11:1
And the Lord will give favour to his people in the sight of the Egyptians. And Moses was a very great man in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharao's servants, and of all the people. Ex. 11:3
And he went out from Pharao exceeding angry. But the Lord said to Moses: Pharao will not hear you, that many signs may be done in the land of Egypt. Ex. 11:9
And Moses and Aaron did all the wonders that are written, before Pharao. And the Lord hardened Pharao's heart, neither did he let the children of Israel go out of his land. Ex. 11:10
¤ And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt: Ex. 12:1
And Moses called all the ancients of the children of Israel, and said to them: Go take a lamb by your families, and sacrifice the Phase. Ex. 12:21
And the children of Israel going forth, did as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron. Ex. 12:28
And Pharao calling Moses and Aaron, in the night, said: Arise and go forth from among my people, you and the children of Israel: go, sacrifice to the Lord as you say. Ex. 12:31
And the children of Israel did as Moses had commanded: and they asked of the Egyptians vessels of silver and gold, and very much raiment. Ex. 12:35
And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron: This is the service of the Phase; no foreigner shall eat of it. Ex. 12:43
And all the children of Israel did as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron. Ex. 12:50

And Moses took Joseph's bones with him: because he had adjured the children of Israel, saying: God shall visit you, carry out my bones from hence with you. Ex. 13:19

And they said to Moses: Perhaps there were no graves in Egypt, therefore thou hast brought us to die in the wilderness: why wouldst thou do this, to lead us out of Egypt? Ex. 14:11
And Moses said to the people: Fear not: stand, and see the great wonders of the Lord, which he will do this day; for the Egyptians, whom you see now, you shall see no more for ever. Ex. 14:13
And the Lord said to Moses: Why criest thou to me? Speak to the children of Israel to go forward. Ex. 14:15
And when Moses had stretched forth his hand over the sea, the Lord took it away by a strong and burning wind blowing all the night, and turned it into dry ground: and the water was divided. Ex. 14:21
And the Lord said to Moses: Stretch forth thy hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots and horsemen. Ex. 14:26
And when Moses had stretched forth his hand towards the sea, it returned at the first break of day to the former place: and as the Egyptians were fleeing away, the waters came upon them, and the Lord shut them up in the middle of the waves. Ex. 14:27
And they saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore, and the mighty hand that the Lord had used against them: and the people feared the Lord, and they believed the Lord, and Moses his servant. Ex. 14:31
¤ Then Moses and the children of Israel sung this canticle to the Lord, and said: Let us sing to the Lord: for he is gloriously magnified, the horse and the rider he hath thrown into the sea. Ex. 15:1
And Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea, and they went forth into the wilderness of Sur: and they marched three days through the wilderness, and found no water. Ex. 15:22
And the people murmured against Moses, saying: What shall we drink? Ex. 15:24
And all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. Ex. 16:2
And the Lord said to Moses: Behold I will rain bread from heaven for you; let the people go forth, and gather what is sufficient for every day: that I may prove them whether they will walk in my law, or not. Ex. 16:4
And Moses and Aaron said to the children of Israel In the evening you shall know that the Lord hath brought you forth out of the land of Egypt: Ex. 16:6
And Moses said: In the evening the Lord will give you flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full: for he hath heard your murmurings, with which you have murmured against him, for what are we? your murmuring is not against us, but against the Lord. Ex. 16:8
Moses also said to Aaron: Say to the whole congregation of the children of Israel: Come before the Lord; for he hath heard your murmuring. Ex. 16:9
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Ex. 16:11
And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another: Manhu! which signifieth: What is this! for they knew not what it was. And Moses said to them: This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat. Ex. 16:15
And Moses said to them: Let no man leave thereof till the morning. Ex. 16:19
And they hearkened not to him, but some of them left until the morning, and it began to be full of worms, and it putrified, and Moses was angry with them. Ex. 16:20
But on the sixth day they gathered twice as much, that is, two gomors every man: and all the rulers of the multitude came, and told Moses. Ex. 16:22
And they did so as Moses had commanded, and it did not putrify, neither was there worm found in it. Ex. 16:24
And Moses said: Eat it to day, because it is the sabbath of the Lord: to day it shall not be found in the field. Ex. 16:25
And the Lord said to Moses: How long will you refuse to keep my commandments, and my law? Ex. 16:28
And Moses said: This is the word which the Lord hath commanded: Fill a gomor of it, and let it be kept unto generations to come hereafter; that they may know the bread, wherewith I fed you in the wilderness when you were brought forth out of the land of Egypt. Ex. 16:32
And Moses said to Aaron: Take a vessel, and put manna into it, as much as a gomor can hold; and lay it up before the Lord, to keep unto your generations, Ex. 16:33
As the Lord commanded Moses. And Aaron put it in the tabernacle to be kept. Ex. 16:34
And they chode with Moses, and said: Give us water, that we may drink. And Moses answered them: Why chide you with me? Wherefore do you tempt the Lord? Ex. 17:2
So the people were thirsty there for want of water, and murmured against Moses, saying: Why didst thou make us go forth out of Egypt, to kill us and our children, and our beasts with thirst? Ex. 17:3
And Moses cried to the Lord, saying: What shall I do to this people? Yet a little more and they will stone me. Ex. 17:4
And the Lord said to Moses: Go before the people, and take with thee of the ancients of Israel: and take in thy hand the rod wherewith thou didst strike the river, and go. Ex. 17:5
Behold I will stand there before thee, upon the rock Horeb, and thou shalt strike the rock, and water shall come out of it that the people may drink. Moses did so before the ancients of Israel: Ex. 17:6
And Moses said to Josue: Choose out men; and go out and fight against Amalec: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill, having the rod of God in my hand. Ex. 17:9
Josue did as Moses had spoken, and he fought against Amalec; but Moses, and Aaron, and Hur, went up upon the top of the hill. Ex. 17:10
And when Moses lifted up his hands, Israel overcame; but if he let them down a little, Amalec overcame. Ex. 17:11
And Moses' hands were heavy: so they took a stone, and put under him, and he sat on it: and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands on both sides. And it came to pass, that his hands were not weary until sunset. Ex. 17:12
And the Lord said to Moses: Write this for a memorial in a book, and deliver it to the ears of Josue; for I will destroy the memory of Amalec from under heaven. Ex. 17:14
And Moses built an altar; and called the name thereof, The Lord, my exaltation, saying: Ex. 17:15
¤ And when Jethro the priest of Madian, the kinsman of Moses, had heard all the things that God had done to Moses, and to Israel his people, and that the Lord had brought forth Israel out of Egypt: Ex. 18:1
He took Sephora, the wife of Moses, whom he had sent back: Ex. 18:2
And Jethro, the kinsman of Moses, came with his sons, and his wife to Moses into the desert, where he was camped by the mountain of God. Ex. 18:5
And he sent word to Moses, saying: I Jethro, thy kinsman, come to thee, and thy wife, and thy two sons with her. Ex. 18:6
Moses told his kinsman all that the Lord had done to Pharao, and the Egyptians in favour of Israel: and all the labour which had befallen them in the journey, and that the Lord had delivered them. Ex. 18:8
So Jethro, the kinsman of Moses, offered holocausts and sacrifices to God: and Aaron and all the ancients of Israel came, to eat bread with him before God. Ex. 18:12
And the next day Moses sat to judge the people, who stood by Moses from morning until night. Ex. 18:13
And Moses answered him: The people come to me to seek the judgment of God? Ex. 18:15
And when Moses heard this, he did all things that he had suggested unto him. Ex. 18:24
And Moses went up to God; and the Lord called unto him from the mountain, and said: Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel: Ex. 19:3
Moses came; and calling together the elders of the people, he declared all the words which the Lord had commanded. Ex. 19:7
And all the people answered together: All that the Lord hath spoken, we will do. And when Moses had related the people's words to the Lord, Ex. 19:8
The Lord said to him: Lo, now will I come to thee in the darkness of a cloud, that the people may hear me speaking to thee, and may believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people to the Lord. Ex. 19:9
And Moses came down from the mount to the people, and sanctified them. And when they had washed their garments, Ex. 19:14
And when Moses had brought them forth to meet God, from the place of the camp, they stood at the bottom of the mount. Ex. 19:17
And the sound of the trumpet grew by degrees louder and louder, and was drawn out to a greater length: Moses spoke, and God answered him. Ex. 19:19
And the Lord came down upon Mount Sinai, in the very top of the mount, and he called Moses unto the top thereof. And when he was gone up thither, Ex. 19:20
And Moses said to the Lord: The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai: for thou didst charge, and command, saying: Set limits about the mount, and sanctify it. Ex. 19:23
And Moses went down to the people and told them all. Ex. 19:25
Saying to Moses: Speak thou to us, and we will hear: let not the Lord speak to us, lest we die. Ex. 20:19
And Moses said to the people: Fear not; for God is come to prove you, and that the dread of him might be in you, and you should not sin. Ex. 20:20
And the people stood afar off. But Moses went to the dark cloud wherein God was. Ex. 20:21
And the Lord said to Moses: Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel: You have seen that I have spoken to you from heaven. Ex. 20:22
¤ And he said to Moses: Come up to the Lord, thou, and Aaron, Nadab and Abiu, and seventy of the ancients of Israel, and you shall adore afar off. Ex. 24:1
And Moses alone shall come up to the Lord, but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people come up with him. Ex. 24:2
So Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice: We will do all the words of the Lord, which he hath spoken. Ex. 24:3
And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord: and rising in the morning, he built an altar at the foot of the mount, and twelve titles according to the twelve tribes of Israel. Ex. 24:4
Then Moses took half of the blood, and put it into bowls; and the rest he poured upon the altar. Ex. 24:6
Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abiu, and seventy of the ancients of Israel went up: Ex. 24:9

And the Lord, when he had ended these words in Mount Sinai, gave to Moses two stone tables of testimony, written with the finger of God. Ex. 31:18
¤ And the people seeing that Moses delayed to come down from the mount, gathering together against Aaron, said: Arise, make us gods, that may go before us: For as to this Moses, the man that brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what has befallen him. Ex. 32:1
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Go, get thee down: thy people, which thou hast brought out of the land of Egypt, hath sinned. Ex. 32:7
And again the Lord said to Moses: I see that this people is stiffnecked: Ex. 32:9
But Moses besought the Lord his God, saying: Why, O Lord, is thy indignation enkindled against thy people, whom thou hast brought out of the land of Egypt, with great power, and with a mighty hand? Ex. 32:11
And Moses returned from the mount, carrying the two tables of the testimony in his hand, written on both sides, Ex. 32:15
And Josue hearing the noise of the people shouting, said to Moses: The noise of battle is heard in the camp. Ex. 32:17
They said to me: make us gods, that may go before us; for as to this Moses, who brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is befallen him. Ex. 32:23
And when Moses saw that the people were naked, (for Aaron had stripped them by occasion of the shame of the filth, and had set them naked among their enemies) Ex. 32:25
And the sons of Levi did according to the words of Moses, and there were slain that day about three and twenty thousand men. Ex. 32:28
And Moses said: You have consecrated your hands this day to the Lord, every man in his son and in his brother, that a blessing may be given to you. Ex. 32:29
And when the next day was come, Moses spoke to the people: You have sinned a very great sin: I will go up to the Lord, if by any means I may be able to entreat him for your crime. Ex. 32:30
¤ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Go, get thee up from this place, thou and thy people which thou hast brought out of the land of Egypt, into the land concerning which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying: To thy seed I will give it: Ex. 33:1
And the Lord said to Moses: Say to the children of Israel: Thou art a stiffnecked people, once I shall come up in the midst of thee, and shall destroy thee. Now presently lay aside thy ornaments, that I may know what to do to thee. Ex. 33:5
Moses also taking the tabernacle, pitched it without the camp afar off, and called the name thereof, The tabernacle of the covenant. And all the people, that had any question, went forth to the tabernacle of the covenant, without the camp. Ex. 33:7
And when Moses went forth to the tabernacle, all the people rose up, and every one stood in the door of his pavilion, and they beheld the back of Moses, till he went into the tabernacle. Ex. 33:8
And when he was gone into the tabernacle of the covenant, the pillar of the cloud came down, and stood at the door, and he spoke with Moses. Ex. 33:9
And the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man is wont to speak to his friend. And when he returned into the camp, his servant Josue, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not from the tabernacle. Ex. 33:11
And Moses said to the Lord: Thou commandest me to lead forth this people; and thou dost not let me know whom thou wilt send with me, especially whereas thou hast said: I know thee by name, and thou hast found favour in my sight. Ex. 33:12
And Moses said: If thou thyself dost not go before, bring us not out of this place. Ex. 33:15
And the Lord said to Moses: This word also, which thou hast spoken, will I do; for thou hast found grace before me, and thee I have known by name. Ex. 33:17
And when the Lord was come down in a cloud, Moses stood with him, calling upon the name of the Lord. Ex. 34:5
And Moses making haste, bowed down prostrate unto the earth, and adoring, Ex. 34:8
And the Lord said to Moses: Write thee these words, by which I have made a covenant both with thee and with Israel. Ex. 34:27
And when Moses came down from the Mount Sinai, he held the two tables of the testimony, and he knew not that his face was horned from the conversation of the Lord. Ex. 34:29
And Aaron and the children of Israel seeing the face of Moses horned, were afraid to come near. Ex. 34:30
And they saw that the face of Moses when he came out was horned, but he covered his face again, if at any time he spoke to them. Ex. 34:35
And Moses said to all the assembly of the children of Israel: This is the word the Lord hath commanded, saying: Ex. 35:4
And all the multitude of the children of Israel going out from the presence of Moses, Ex. 35:20
All, both men and women, with devout mind offered gifts, that the works might be done which the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses. All the children of Israel dedicated voluntary offerings to the Lord. Ex. 35:29
And Moses said to the children of Israel: Behold, the Lord hath called by name Beseleel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Juda, Ex. 35:30
And when Moses had called them, and every skilful man, to whom the Lord had given wisdom, and such as of their own accord had offered themselves to the making of the work, Ex. 36:2
Said to Moses: The people offereth more than is necessary. Ex. 36:5
Moses therefore commanded proclamation to be made by the crier's voice: Let neither man nor woman offer any more for the work of the sanctuary. And so they ceased from offering gifts, Ex. 36:6
These are the instruments of the tabernacle of the testimony, which were counted according to the commandment of Moses, in the ceremonies of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest: Ex. 38:21
Which Beseleel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur of the tribe of Juda, had made, as the Lord commanded by Moses. Ex. 38:22
¤ And he made, of violet and purple, scarlet and fine linen, the vestments for Aaron to wear when he ministered in the holy places, as the Lord commanded Moses. Ex. 39:1
And a girdle of the same colours, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Ex. 39:5
And he set them in the sides of the ephod, for a memorial of the children of Israel, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Ex. 39:7
Being fastened to the girdle, and strongly coupled with rings, which a violet fillet joined, lest they should flag loose, and be moved one from the other, as the Lord commanded Moses. Ex. 39:19
To wit, a bell of gold, and a pomegranate, wherewith the high priest went adorned, when he discharged his ministry, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Ex. 39:24
And a girdle of fine twisted linen, violet, purple, and scarlet twice dyed, of embroidery work, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Ex. 39:28
And they fastened it to the mitre with a violet fillet, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Ex. 39:30
So all the work of the tabernacle and of the roof of the testimony was finished: and the children of Israel did all things which the Lord had commanded Moses. Ex. 39:31
And when Moses saw all things finished, he blessed them. Ex. 39:43

And Moses and Aaron, and his sons, washed their hands and feet, Ex. 40:31

And Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons that were left: Take the sacrifice that is remaining of the oblation of the Lord, and eat it without leaven beside the altar, because it is holy of holies. Lev. 10:12
While these things were a doing, when Moses sought for the buck goat, that had been offered for sin, he found it burnt. And being angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron that were left, he said: Lev. 10:16

This is the number of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron reckoned up according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses. Num. 4:45
All that were reckoned up of the Levites, and whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel took by name, by the kindreds and houses of their fathers, Num. 4:46
Moses reckoned them up according to the word of the Lord, every one according to their office and burdens, as the Lord had commanded him. Num. 4:49

And Moses commanded the children of Israel that they should make the phase. Num. 9:4
And they made it in its proper time: the fourteenth day of the month at evening, in mount Sinai. The children of Israel did according to all things that the Lord had commanded Moses. Num. 9:5
But behold some who were unclean by occasion of the soul of a man, who could not make the phase on that day, coming to Moses and Aaron, Num. 9:6
And Moses answered them: Stay that I may consult the Lord what he will ordain concerning you. Num. 9:8
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Num. 9:9
By the word of the Lord they pitched their tents, and by his word they marched: and kept the watches of the Lord according to his commandment by the hand of Moses. Num. 9:23

And Moses said to Hobab the son of Raguel the Madianite, his kinsman: We are going towards the place which the Lord will give us: come with us, that we may do thee good: for the Lord hath promised good things to Israel. Num. 10:29
And when the ark was lifted up, Moses said: Arise, O Lord, and let thy enemies be scattered, and let them that hate thee, flee from before thy face. Num. 10:35
And when the people cried to Moses, Moses prayed to the Lord, and the fire was swallowed up. Num. 11:2
Now Moses heard the people weeping by their families, every one at the door of his tent. And the wrath of the Lord was exceedingly enkindled: to Moses also the thing seemed insupportable. Num. 11:10
And the Lord said to Moses: Gather unto me seventy men of the ancients of Israel, whom thou knowest to be ancients and masters of the people: and thou shalt bring them to the door of the tabernacle of the covenant, and shalt make them stand there with thee, Num. 11:16
And Moses said: There are six hundred thousand footmen of this people, and sayest thou: I will give them flesh to eat a whole month? Num. 11:21
Moses therefore came, and told the people the words of the Lord, and assembled seventy men of the ancients of Israel, and made them to stand about the tabernacle. Num. 11:24
And the Lord came down in a cloud, and spoke to him, taking away of the spirit that was in Moses, and giving to the seventy men. And when the spirit had rested on them they prophesied, nor did they cease afterwards. Num. 11:25
And when they prophesied in the camp, there ran a young man, and told Moses, saying: Eldad and Medad prophesy in the camp. Num. 11:27
Forthwith Josue the son of Nun, the minister of Moses, and chosen out of many, said: My lord Moses forbid them. Num. 11:28
And Moses returned, with the ancients of Israel, into the camp. Num. 11:30
¤ And Mary and Aaron spoke against Moses, because of his wife the Ethiopian, Num. 12:1
And they said: Hath the Lord spoken by Moses only? Hath he not also spoken to us in like manner? And when the Lord heard this, Num. 12:2
(For Moses was a man exceeding meek above all men that dwelt upon earth) Num. 12:3
But it is not so with my servant Moses who is most faithful in all my house: Num. 12:7
For I speak to him mouth to mouth: and plainly, and not by riddles and figures doth he see the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak ill of my servant Moses? Num. 12:8
He said to Moses: I beseech thee, my lord, lay not upon us this sin, which we have foolishly committed: Num. 12:11
And Moses cried to the Lord, saying O God, I beseech thee heal her. Num. 12:13
¤ And there the Lord spoke to Moses, saying. Num. 13:1
Moses did what the Lord had commanded, sending from the desert of Pharan, principal men, whose names are these: Num. 13:3
These are the names of the men, whom Moses sent to view the land: and he called Osee the son of Nun, Josue. Num. 13:16
And Moses sent them to view the land of Chanaan, and said to them: Go you up by the south side. And when you shall come to the mountains, Num. 13:17
And came to Moses and Aaron and to all the assembly of the children of Israel to the desert of Pharan, which is in Cades. And speaking to them and to all the multitude, they shewed them the fruits of the land: Num. 13:26
In the mean time Caleb, to still the murmuring of the people that rose against Moses, said: Let us go up and possess the land, for we shall be able to conquer it. Num. 13:30
And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, saying: Num. 14:2
And when Moses and Aaron heard this, they fell down flat upon the ground before the multitude of the children of Israel. Num. 14:5
And the Lord said to Moses: How long will this people detract me? how long will they not believe me for all the signs that I have wrought before them? Num. 14:11
And Moses said to the Lord: That the Egyptians, from the midst of whom thou hast brought forth this people, Num. 14:13
And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: Num. 14:26
Therefore all the men, whom Moses had sent to view the land, and who at their return had made the whole multitude to murmur against him, speaking ill of the land that it was naught, Num. 14:36
And Moses spoke all these words to all the children of Israel, and the people mourned exceedingly. Num. 14:39
And Moses said to them: Why transgress you the word of the Lord, which shall not succeed prosperously with you? Num. 14:41
But they being blinded went up to the top of the mountain. But the ark of the testament of the Lord and Moses departed not from the camp. Num. 14:44
¤ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Num. 15:1
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Num. 15:16
And if through ignorance you omit any of these things, which the Lord hath spoken to Moses, Num. 15:22
That they brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole multitude. Num. 15:33
And the Lord said to Moses: Let that man die, let all the multitude stone him without the camp. Num. 15:35
The Lord also said to Moses: Num. 15:37
Rose up against Moses, and with them two hundred and fifty others of the children of Israel, leading men of the synagogue, and who in the time of assembly were called by name. Num. 16:2
And when they had stood up against Moses and Aaron, they said: Let it be enough for you, that all the multitude consisteth of holy ones, and the Lord is among them: Why lift you up yourselves above the people of the Lord? Num. 16:3
When Moses heard this, he fell flat on his face: Num. 16:4
Then Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiron the sons of Eliab. But they answered: We will not come. Num. 16:12
Moses therefore being very angry, said to the Lord: Respect not their sacrifices: thou knowest that I have not taken of them so much as a young ass at any time, nor have injured any of them. Num. 16:15
When they had done this, Moses and Aaron standing, Num. 16:18
And the Lord speaking to Moses and Aaron, said: Num. 16:20
And the Lord said to Moses: Num. 16:23
And Moses arose, and went to Dathan and Abiron: and the ancients of Israel following him, Num. 16:25
And Moses said: By this you shall know that the Lord hath sent me to do all things that you see, and that I have not forged them of my own head: Num. 16:28
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Num. 16:36
That the children of Israel might have for the time to come wherewith they should be admonished, that no stranger or any one that is not of the seed of Aaron should come near to offer incense to the Lord, lest he should suffer as Core suffered, and all his congregation, according as the Lord spoke to Moses. Num. 16:40
The following day all the multitude of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, saying: You have killed the people of the Lord. Num. 16:41
Moses and Aaron fled to the tabernacle of the covenant. And when they were gone into it, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord appeared. Num. 16:43
And the Lord said to Moses: Num. 16:44
Moses said to Aaron: Take the censer, and putting fire in it from the altar, put incense upon it, and go quickly to the people to pray for them: for already wrath is gone out from the Lord, and the plague rageth. Num. 16:46
And Aaron returned to Moses to the door of the tabernacle of the covenant after the destruction was over. Num. 16:50
¤ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Num. 17:1
And Moses spoke to the children of Israel: and all the princes gave him rods one for every tribe: and there were twelve rods besides the rod of Aaron. Num. 17:6
And when Moses had Laid them up before the Lord in the tabernacle of the testimony: Num. 17:7
Moses therefore brought out all the rods from before the Lord to all the children of Israel: and they saw, and every one received their rods. Num. 17:9
And the Lord said to Moses: Carry back the rod of Aaron into the tabernacle of the testimony, that it may be kept there for a token of the rebellious children of Israel, and that their complaints may cease from me lest they die. Num. 17:10
And Moses did as the Lord had commanded. Num. 17:11
And the children of Israel said to Moses: Behold we are consumed, we all perish. Num. 17:12
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Num. 18:25
¤ And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: Num. 19:1
And the people wanting water, came together against Moses and Aaron: Num. 20:2
And Moses and Aaron leaving the multitude, went into the tabernacle of the covenant, and fell flat upon the ground, and cried to the Lord, and said. O Lord God, hear the cry of this people, and open to them thy treasure, a fountain of living water, that being satisfied, they may cease to murmur. And the glory of the Lord appeared over them. Num. 20:6
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Num. 20:7
Moses therefore took the rod, which was before the Lord, as he had commanded him, Num. 20:9
And when Moses had lifted up his hand, and struck the rock twice with the rod, there came forth water in great abundance, so that the people and their cattle drank, Num. 20:11
And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron: Because you have not believed me, to sanctify me before the children of Israel, you shall not bring these people into the land, which I will give them. Num. 20:12
In the mean time Moses sent messengers from Cades to the king of Edom, to say: Thus saith thy brother Israel: Thou knowest all the labour that hath come upon us: Num. 20:14
Where the Lord spoke to Moses: Num. 20:23
Moses did as the Lord had commanded: and they went up into mount Hor before all the multitude. Num. 20:27
And speaking against God and Moses, they said: Why didst thou bring us out of Egypt, to die in the wilderness? There is no bread, nor have we any waters: our soul now loatheth this very light food. Num. 21:5
Upon which they came to Moses, and said; We have sinned, because we have spoken against the Lord and thee: pray that he may take away these serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. Num. 21:7
Moses therefore made a brazen serpent, and set it up for a sign: which when they that were bitten looked upon, they were healed. Num. 21:9
When they went from that place, the well appeared whereof the Lord said to Moses: Gather the people together, and I will give them water. Num. 21:16
And Moses sent some to take a view of Jazer: and they took the villages of it, and conquered the inhabitants. Num. 21:32
And the Lord said to Moses: Fear him not, for I have delivered him and all his people, and his country into thy hand: and thou shalt do to him as thou didst to Sehon the king of the Amorrhites, the inhabitant of Hesebon. Num. 21:34
Said to Moses: Take all the princes of the people, and hang them up on gibbets against the sun: that my fury may be turned away from Israel. Num. 25:4
And Moses said to the judges of Israel: Let every man kill his neighbours, that have been initiated to Beelphegor. Num. 25:5
And behold one of the children of Israel went in before his brethren to a harlot of Madian, in the sight of Moses and of all the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle. Num. 25:6
And the Lord said to Moses: Num. 25:10
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Num. 25:16
¤ After the blood of the guilty was shed, the Lord said to Moses and to Eleazar the son of Aaron, the priest: Num. 26:1
Moses therefore and Eleazar the priest, being in the plains of Moab upon the Jordan over against Jericho, spoke to them that were Num. 26:3
His sons, were Namuel and Dathan and Abiron. These are Dathan and Abiron the princes of the people, that rose against Moses and Aaron in the sedition of Core, when they rebelled against the Lord: Num. 26:9
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Num. 26:52
Who had to wife Jochabed the daughter of Levi, who was born to him in Egypt. She bore to her husband Amram sons, Aaron and Moses, and Mary their sister. Num. 26:59
This is the number of the children of Israel, that were enrolled by Moses and Eleazar the priest, in the plains of Moab upon the Jordan, over against Jericho. Num. 26:63
Among whom there was not one of them that were numbered before by Moses and Aaron in the desert of Sinai. Num. 26:64
And they stood before Moses and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the people at the door of the tabernacle of the covenant, and said: Num. 27:2
And Moses referred their cause to the judgment of the Lord. Num. 27:4
But if he have no uncles by the father, the inheritance shall be given to them that are the next akin. And this shall be to the children of Israel sacred by a perpetual law, as the Lord hath commanded Moses. Num. 27:11
The Lord also said to Moses: Go up into this mountain Abarim, and view from thence the land which I will give to the children of Israel. Num. 27:12
And Moses answered him: Num. 27:15
Moses did as the Lord had commanded. And, when he had taken Josue, he set him before Eleazar the priest, and all the assembly of the people, Num. 27:22
¤ The Lord also said to Moses: Num. 28:1
And Moses told the children of Israel all that the Lord had commanded him: Num. 29:40
These are the laws which the Lord appointed to Moses between the husband and the wife, between the father and the daughter that is as yet but a girl in age, or that abideth in her father's house. Num. 30:16
¤ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Num. 31:1
And Moses forthwith said: Arm of you men to fight, who may take the revenge of the Lord on the Madianites. Num. 31:3
And Moses sent them with Phinees the son of Eleazar the priest, and he delivered to him the holy vessels, and the trumpets to sound. Num. 31:6
And they brought them to Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and to all the multitude of the children of Israel. But the rest of the things for use they carried to the camp on the plains of Moab, beside the Jordan over against Jericho. Num. 31:12
And Moses and Eleazar the priest and all the princes of the synagogue went forth to meet them without the camp. Num. 31:13
And Moses being angry with the chief officers of the army, the tribunes, and the centurions that were come from the battle, Num. 31:14
Eleazar also the priest spoke to the men of the army, that had fought, in this manner: This is the ordinance of the law, which the Lord hath commanded Moses: Num. 31:21
And the Lord said to Moses: Num. 31:25
And Moses and Eleazar did as the Lord had commanded. Num. 31:31
And Moses delivered the number of the firstfruits of the Lord to Eleazar the priest, as had been commanded him, Num. 31:41
Moses took the fiftieth head, and gave it to the Levites that watched in the tabernacle of the Lord, as the Lord had commanded. Num. 31:47
And when the commanders of the army, and the tribunes and centurions were come to Moses, they said: Num. 31:48
And Moses and Eleazar the priest received all the gold in divers kinds, Num. 31:51
They came to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and the princes of the multitude, and said: Num. 32:2
And Moses answered them: What, shall your brethren go to fight, and will you sit here? Num. 32:6
And Moses said to them: If you do what you promise, go on well appointed for war before the Lord: Num. 32:20
And the children of Gad and Ruben said to Moses: We are thy servants, we will do what my lord commandeth. Num. 32:25
Moses therefore commanded Eleazar the priest, and Josue the son of Nun, and the princes of the families of all the tribes of Israel, and said to them: Num. 32:28
Moses therefore gave to the children of Gad and of Ruben, and to the half tribe of Manasses the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sehon king of the Amorrhites, and the kingdom of Og king of Basan, and their land and the cities thereof round about. Num. 32:33
And Moses gave the land of Galaad to Machir the son of Manasses, and he dwelt in it. Num. 32:40
¤ These are the mansions of the children of Israel, who went out of Egypt by their troops under the conduct of Moses and Aaron, Num. 33:1
Which Moses wrote down according to the places of their encamping, which they changed by the commandment of the Lord. Num. 33:2
Where the Lord said to Moses: Num. 33:50
¤ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Num. 34:1
And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying: This shall be the land which you shall possess by lot, and which the Lord hath commanded to be given to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe. Num. 34:13
And the Lord said to Moses: Num. 34:16
¤ And the Lord spoke these things also to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, over against Jericho: Num. 35:1
The Lord said to Moses: Num. 35:9
¤ And the princes of the families of Galaad, the son of Machir, the son of Manasses, of the stock of the children of Joseph, came and spoke to Moses before the princes of Israel, and said: Num. 36:1
Moses answered the children of Israel, and said by the command of the Lord: The tribe of the children of Joseph hath spoken rightly. Num. 36:5
These are the commandments and judgments, which the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses to the children of Israel, in the plains of Moab upon the Jordan over against Jericho. Num. 36:13
‡ ¤ These are the words, which Moses spoke to all Israel beyond the Jordan, in the plain wilderness, over against the Red Sea, between Pharan and Thophel and Laban and Haseroth, where there is very much gold. Dt. 1:1
In the fortieth year, the eleventh month, the first day of the month, Moses spoke to the children of Israel all that the Lord had commanded him to say to them: Dt. 1:3
Beyond the Jordan in the land of Moab. And Moses began to expound the law, and to say: Dt. 1:5
Then Moses set aside three cities beyond the Jordan at the east side, Dt. 4:41
This is the law, that Moses set before the children of Israel, Dt. 4:44
Beyond the Jordan in the valley over against the temple of Phogor, in the land of Sehon king of the Amorrhites, that dwelt in Hesebon, whom Moses slew. And the children of Israel coming out of Egypt, Dt. 4:46
¤ And Moses called all Israel, and said to them: Hear, O Israel, the ceremonies and judgments, which I speak in your ears this day: learn them, and fulfil them in work. Dt. 5:1
¤ And Moses with the ancients of Israel commanded the people, saying: Keep every commandment that I command you this day. Dt. 27:1
And Moses and the priests of the race of Levi said to all Israel: Attend, and hear, O Israel: This day thou art made the people of the Lord thy God: Dt. 27:9
And Moses commanded the people in that day, saying: Dt. 27:11
¤ These are the words of the covenant which the Lord commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab: beside that covenant which he made with them in Horeb. Dt. 29:1
And Moses called all Israel, and said to them: You have seen all the things that the Lord did before you in the land of Egypt to Pharao, and to all his servants, and to his whole land. Dt. 29:2
¤ And Moses went, and spoke all these words to all Israel, Dt. 31:1
And Moses called Josue, and said to him before all Israel: Take courage, and be valiant: for thou shalt bring this people into the land which the Lord swore he would give to their fathers, and thou shalt divide it by lot. Dt. 31:7
And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it to the priests the sons of Levi, who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the ancients of Israel. Dt. 31:9
And the Lord said to Moses: Behold the days of thy death are nigh: call Josue, and stand ye in the tabernacle of the testimony, that I may give him a charge. So Moses and Josue went and stood in the tabernacle of the testimony: Dt. 31:14
And the Lord said to Moses: Behold thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, and this people rising up will go a fornicating after strange gods in the land, to which it goeth in to dwell: there will they forsake me, and will make void the covenant, which I have made with them, Dt. 31:16
Moses therefore wrote the canticle, and taught it to the children of Israel. Dt. 31:22
Therefore after Moses had wrote the words of this law in a volume, and finished it: Dt. 31:24
Moses therefore spoke, in the hearing of the whole assembly of Israel, the words of this canticle, and finished it even to the end. Dt. 31:30
So Moses came and spoke all the words of this canticle in the ears of the people, and Josue the son of Nun. Dt. 32:44
And the Lord spoke to Moses the same day, saying: Dt. 32:48
¤ This is the blessing, wherewith the man of God, Moses, blessed the children of Israel, before his death. Dt. 33:1
Moses commanded us a law, the inheritance of the multitude of Jacob. Dt. 33:4
¤ Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab upon mount Nebo, to the top of Phasga over against Jericho: and the Lord shewed him all the land of Galaad as far as Dan. Dt. 34:1
And Moses the servant of the Lord died there, in the land of Moab, by the commandment of the Lord: Dt. 34:5
Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, neither were his teeth moved. Dt. 34:7
And the children of Israel mourned for him in the plains of Moab thirty days: and the days of their mourning in which they mourned for Moses were ended. Dt. 34:8
And Josue the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, because Moses had laid his hands upon him. And the children of Israel obeyed him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses. Dt. 34:9
And there arose no more a prophet in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, Dt. 34:10
And all the mighty hand, and great miracles, which Moses did before all Israel. Dt. 34:12
‡ ¤ Now it came to pass after the death of Moses, the servant of the Lord, that the Lord spoke to Josue, the son of Nun, the minister of Moses, and said to him: Josu. 1:1
Moses my servant is dead: arise, and pass over this Jordan, thou and thy people with thee, into the land which I will give to the children of Israel. Josu. 1:2
I will deliver to you every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, as I have said to Moses. Josu. 1:3
No man shall be able to resist you all the days of thy life: as I have been with Moses, so will I be with thee: I will not leave thee, nor forsake thee. Josu. 1:5
Take courage therefore, and be very valiant: that thou mayst observe and do all the law, which Moses my servant hath commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayst understand all things which thou dost. Josu. 1:7
Remember the word, which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying: The Lord your God hath given you rest, and all this land. Josu. 1:13
Your wives, and children; and cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan: but pass you over armed before your brethren all of you that are strong of hand, and fight for them, Josu. 1:14
Until the Lord give rest to your brethren, as he hath given you, and they also possess the land which the Lord your God will give them: and so you shall return into the land of your possession, and you shall dwell in it, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you beyond the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun. Josu. 1:15
As we obeyed Moses in all things, so will we obey thee also: only be the Lord thy God with thee, as he was with Moses. Josu. 1:17
And the Lord said to Josue: This day will I begin to exalt thee before Israel: that they may know that as I was with Moses, so I am with thee also. Josu. 3:7
Now the priests that carried the ark, stood in the midst of the Jordan, till all things were accomplished, which the Lord had commanded Josue to speak to the people, and Moses had said to him. And the people made haste, and passed over. Josu. 4:10
The children of Ruben also, and Gad, and half the tribe of Manasses, went armed before the children of Israel, as Moses had commanded them. Josu. 4:12
In that day the Lord magnified Josue in the sight of all Israel, that they should fear him, as they had feared Moses, while he lived. Josu. 4:14
As Moses, the servant of the Lord, had commanded the children of Israel, and it is written in the book of the law of Moses: an altar of unhewn stones, which iron had not touched: and he offered upon it holocausts to the Lord, and immolated victims of peace offerings. Josu. 8:31
And he wrote upon stones, the Deuteronomy of the law of Moses, which he had ordered before the children of Israel. Josu. 8:32
And all the people, and the ancients, and the princes, and judges, stood on both sides of the ark, before the priests that carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, both the stranger and he that was born among them, half of them by Mount Garizim, and half by Mount Hebal, as Moses the servant of the Lord, had commanded. And first he blessed the people of Israel. Josu. 8:33
He left out nothing of those things which Moses had commanded, but he repeated all before all the people of Israel, with the women and children, and strangers, that dwelt among them. Josu. 8:35
They answered: It was told us, thy servants, that the Lord thy God had promised his servant Moses, to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants thereof. Therefore we feared exceedingly and provided for our lives, compelled by the dread we had of you, and we took this counsel. Josu. 9:24
And he took and put to the sword and destroyed all the cities round about, and their kings, as Moses the servant of God had commanded him. Josu. 11:12
As the Lord had commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Josue, and he accomplished all: he left not one thing undone of all the commandments which the Lord had commanded Moses. Josu. 11:15
For it was the sentence of the Lord, that their hearts should be hardened, and they should fight against Israel, and fall, and should not deserve any clemency, and should be destroyed as the Lord had commanded Moses. Josu. 11:20
So Josue took all the land, as the Lord spoke to Moses, and delivered it in possession to the children of Israel, according to their divisions and tribes. And the land rested from wars. Josu. 11:23
Moses the servant of the Lord, and the children of Israel slew them, and Moses delivered their land in possession to the Rubenites, and Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasses. Josu. 12:6
With whom Ruben and Gad have possessed the land, which Moses the servant of the Lord delivered to them beyond the river Jordan, on the east side. Josu. 13:8
All the kingdom of Og in Basan, who reigned in Astaroth and Edrai, he was of the remains of the Raphaims: and Moses overthrew and destroyed them. Josu. 13:12
And Moses gave a possession to the children of Ruben according to their kindreds. Josu. 13:15
And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdoms of Sehon king of the Amorrhites, that reigned in Hesebon, whom Moses slew with the princes of Madian: Hevi, and Recem, and Sur and Hur, and Rebe, dukes of Sehon inhabitants of the land. Josu. 13:21
And Moses gave to the tribe of Gad and to his children by their kindreds a possession, of which this is the division. Josu. 13:24
This possession Moses divided in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan, over against Jericho on the east side, Josu. 13:32
Dividing all by lot, as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses, to the nine tribes, and the half tribe. Josu. 14:2
For to two tribes and a half Moses had given possession beyond the Jordan: besides the Levites, who received no land among their brethren: Josu. 14:3
As the Lord had commanded Moses so did the children of Israel, and they divided the land. Josu. 14:5
Then the children of Juda came to Josue in Galgal, and Caleb the son of Jephone the Cenezite spoke to him: Thou knowest what the Lord spoke to Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Cadesbarne. Josu. 14:6
I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Cadesbarne, to view the land, and I brought him word again as to me seemed true, Josu. 14:7
And Moses swore in that day, saying: The land which thy foot hath trodden upon shall be thy possession, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast followed the Lord my God. Josu. 14:9
The Lord therefore hath granted me life, as he promised until this present day, It is forty and five years since the Lord spoke this word to Moses, when Israel journeyed through the wilderness: this day I am eighty-five years old, Josu. 14:10
And they came in the presence of Eleazar the priest and of Josue the son of Nun, and of the princes, saying: The Lord commanded by the hand of Moses, that a possession should be given us in the midst of our brethren. And he gave them according to the commandment of the Lord a possession amongst the brethren of their father. Josu. 17:4
For the Levites have no part among you, but the priesthood of the Lord is their inheritance. And Gad and Ruben, and the half tribe of Manasses have already received their possessions beyond the Jordan eastward: which Moses the servant of the Lord gave them. Josu. 18:7
Appoint cities of refuge, of which I spoke to you by the hand of Moses: Josu. 20:2
And they spoke to them in Silo in the land of Chanaan, and said: The Lord commanded by the hand of Moses, that cities should be given us to dwell in, and their suburbs to feed our cattle. Josu. 21:2
And the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities and their suburbs, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses, giving to every one by lot. Josu. 21:8
And said to them: You have done all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you: you have also obeyed me in all things, Josu. 22:2
Therefore as the Lord your God hath given your brethren rest and peace, as he promised: return, and go to your dwellings, and to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you beyond the Jordan: Josu. 22:4
Yet so that you observe attentively, and in work fulfil the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you: that you love the Lord your God, and walk in all his ways, and keep all his commandments, and cleave to him, and serve him with all your heart, and with all your soul. Josu. 22:5
Now to half the tribe of Manasses, Moses had given a possession in Basan: and therefore to the half that remained, Josue gave a lot among the rest of their brethren beyond the Jordan to the west. And when he sent them away to their dwellings and had blessed them, Josu. 22:7
So the children of Ruben, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasses returned, and parted from the children of Israel in Silo, which is in Chanaan, to go into Galaad the land of their possession, which they had obtained according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses. Josu. 22:9
Only take courage, and be careful to observe all things that are written in the book of the law of Moses: and turn not aside from them neither to the right hand nor to the left: Josu. 23:6
And I sent Moses and Aaron, and I struck Egypt with many signs and wonders. Josu. 24:5
And the children of the Cinite, the kinsman of Moses, went up from the city of palms, with the children of Juda, into the wilderness of his lot, which is at the south side of Arad, and they dwelt with him. Judg. 1:16
And they gave Hebron to Caleb, as Moses had said, who destroyed out of it the three sons of Enac. Judg. 1:20
And he left them, that he might try Israel by them, whether they would hear the commandments of the Lord, which he had commanded their fathers, by the hand of Moses, or not. Judg. 3:4
Now Haber, the Cinite, had some time before departed from the rest of the Cinites, his brethren, the sons of Hobab, the kinsman of Moses: and had pitched his tents unto the valley, which is called Sennim, and was near Cedes. Judg. 4:11
And they set up to themselves the graven idol, and Jonathan the son of Gersam, the son of Moses, he and his sons were priests in the tribe of Dan, until the day of their captivity. Judg. 18:30
And Samuel said to the people: It is the Lord who made Moses and Aaron, and brought our fathers out of the land of Egypt. 1 Ki. 12:6

And he stuck to the Lord, and departed not from his steps, but kept his commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses. 4 Ki. 18:6
Because they hearkened not to the voice of the Lord, their God, but transgressed his covenant: all that Moses, the servant of the Lord, commanded, they would not hear, nor do. 4 Ki. 18:12
And I will no more make the feet of Israel to be moved out of the land, which I gave to their fathers: only if they will observe to do all that I have commanded them, according to the law which my servant Moses commanded them. 4 Ki. 21:8
There was no king before him like unto him, that returned to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his strength, according to all the law of Moses: neither after him did there arise any like him. 4 Ki. 23:25

The sons of Amram, Aaron, and Moses. And Aaron was separated to minister in the holy of holies, he and his sons for ever, and to burn incense before the Lord, according to his ceremonies, and to bless his name for ever. 1 Par. 23:13
The sons also of Moses, the man of God, were numbered in the tribe of Levi. 1 Par. 23:14
The sons of Moses were Gersom and Eliezer: 1 Par. 23:15
And Subael the son of Gersom, the son of Moses, was chief over the treasures. 1 Par. 26:24
And he went with all the multitude to the high place of Gabaon, where was the tabernacle of the covenant of the Lord, which Moses the servant of God made, in the wilderness. 2 Par. 1:3
And there was nothing else in the ark but the two tables which Moses put there at Horeb when the Lord gave the law to the children of Israel, at their coming out of Egypt. 2 Par. 5:10
