- And he answering said to them, `Elijah indeed, having come first, doth restore all things; and how hath it been written concerning the Son of Man, that many things he may suffer, and be set at nought? Mk. 9:12
- And he questioned his father, `How long time is it since this came to him?' and he said, `From childhood, Mk. 9:21
- And Jesus having looked round, saith to his disciples, `How hardly shall they who have riches enter into the reign of God!' Mk. 10:23
- And the disciples were astonished at his words, and Jesus again answering saith to them, `Children, how hard is it to those trusting on the riches to enter into the reign of God! Mk. 10:24
- And the scribes and the chief priests heard, and they were seeking how they shall destroy him, for they were afraid of him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching; Mk. 11:18
- `And concerning the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the Book of Moses (at The Bush), how God spake to him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; Mk. 12:26

- and if the herbage in the field, that to-day is, and to-morrow into an oven is cast, God doth so clothe, how much more you -- ye of little faith? Lk. 12:28
- but I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how am I pressed till it may be completed! Lk. 12:50
- hypocrites! the face of the earth and of the heaven ye have known to make proof of, but this time -- how do ye not make proof of it? Lk. 12:56

- Jesus who is from Nazareth -- how God did anoint him with the Holy Spirit and power; who went through, doing good, and healing all those oppressed by the devil, because God was with him; Acts 10:38

- God did not cast away His people whom He knew before; have ye not known -- in Elijah -- what the Writing saith? how he doth plead with God concerning Israel, saying, Rom. 11:2
- and if the fall of them is the riches of a world, and the diminution of them the riches of nations, how much more the fulness of them? Rom. 11:12
- for if thou, out of the olive tree, wild by nature, wast cut out, and, contrary to nature, wast graffed into a good olive tree, how much rather shall they, who are according to nature, be graffed into their own olive tree? Rom. 11:24
- O depth of riches, and wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable His judgments, and untraceable His ways! Rom. 11:33
- And I wish you to be without anxiety; the unmarried is anxious for the things of the Lord, how he shall please the Lord; 1 Cor. 7:32
- and the married is anxious for the things of the world, how he shall please the wife. 1 Cor. 7:33
- The wife and the virgin have been distinguished: the unmarried is anxious for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit, and the married is anxious for the things of the world, how she shall please the husband. 1 Cor. 7:34
- yet the things without life giving sound -- whether pipe or harp -- if a difference in the sounds they may not give, how shall be known that which is piped or that which is harped? 1 Cor. 14:7
- so also ye, if through the tongue, speech easily understood ye may not give -- how shall that which is spoken be known? for ye shall be speaking to air. 1 Cor. 14:9
- since, if thou mayest bless with the spirit, he who is filling the place of the unlearned, how shall he say the Amen at thy giving of thanks, since what thou dost say he hath not known? 1 Cor. 14:16
- And if Christ is preached, that out of the dead he hath risen, how say certain among you, that there is no rising again of dead persons? 1 Cor. 15:12
- But some one will say, `How do the dead rise? 1 Cor. 15:35
- how shall the ministration of the Spirit not be more in glory? 2 Cor. 3:8
- how that God was in Christ -- a world reconciling to Himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses; and having put in us the word of the reconciliation, 2 Cor. 5:19
- for, lo, this same thing -- your being made sorry toward God -- how much diligence it doth work in you! but defence, but displeasure, but fear, but longing desire, but zeal, but revenge; in every thing ye did approve yourselves to be pure in the matter. 2 Cor. 7:11
- and his tender affection is more abundantly toward you, remembering the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye did receive him; 2 Cor. 7:15
- in reference to dishonour I speak, how that we were weak, and in whatever any one is bold -- in foolishness I say it -- I also am bold. 2 Cor. 11:21
- But when I saw that they are not walking uprightly to the truth of the good news, I said to Peter before all, `If thou, being a Jew, in the manner of the nations dost live, and not in the manner of the Jews, how the nations dost thou compel to Judaize? Gal. 2:14
- and now, having known God -- and rather being known by God -- how turn ye again unto the weak and poor elements to which anew ye desire to be in servitude? Gal. 4:9
- Ye see in how large letters I have written to you with my own hand; Gal. 6:11
- See, then, how exactly ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise, Eph. 5:15
- For God is my witness, how I long for you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ, Phil. 1:8
- For I wish you to know how great a conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, Col. 2:1
- your word always in grace -- with salt being seasoned -- to know how it behoveth you to answer each one. Col. 4:6
- for they themselves concerning us do declare what entrance we had unto you, and how ye did turn unto God from the idols, to serve a living and true God, 1 Th. 1:9
- ye are witnesses -- God also -- how kindly and righteously, and blamelessly to you who believe we became, 1 Th. 2:10
- even as ye have known, how each one of you, as a father his own children, we are exhorting you, and comforting, and testifying, 1 Th. 2:11
- As to the rest, then, brethren, we request you, and call upon you in the Lord Jesus, as ye did receive from us how it behoveth you to walk and to please God, that ye may abound the more, 1 Th. 4:1
- for yourselves have known how it behoveth you to imitate us, because we did not act disorderly among you; 2 Th. 3:7
- (and if any one his own house how to lead hath not known, how an assembly of God shall he take care of?) 1 Tim. 3:5
- and if I delay, that thou mayest know how it behoveth thee to conduct thyself in the house of God, which is an assembly of the living God -- a pillar and foundation of the truth, 1 Tim. 3:15
- may the Lord give to him to find kindness from the Lord in that day; and how many things in Ephesus he did minister thou dost very well know. 2 Tim. 1:18
- no more as a servant, but above a servant -- a brother beloved, especially to me, and how much more to thee, both in the flesh and in the Lord! Ph'm 1:16
- how shall we escape, having neglected so great salvation? which a beginning receiving -- to be spoken through the Lord -- by those having heard was confirmed to us, Heb. 2:3
- And see how great this one is, to whom also a tenth Abraham the patriarch did give out of the best of the spoils, Heb. 7:4
- and now he hath obtained a more excellent service, how much also of a better covenant is he mediator, which on better promises hath been sanctioned, Heb. 8:6
- how much more shall the blood of the Christ (who through the age-during Spirit did offer himself unblemished to God) purify your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Heb. 9:14
- of how much sorer punishment shall he be counted worthy who the Son of God did trample on, and the blood of the covenant did count a common thing, in which he was sanctified, and to the Spirit of the grace did despite? Heb. 10:29
- so also the tongue is a little member, and doth boast greatly; lo, a little fire how much wood it doth kindle! Jas. 3:5
- and whoever may have the goods of the world, and may view his brother having need, and may shut up his bowels from him -- how doth the love of God remain in him? 1 Jn. 3:17
- if any one may say -- `I love God,' and his brother he may hate, a liar he is; for he who is not loving his brother whom he hath seen, God -- whom he hath not seen -- how is he able to love? 1 Jn. 4:20
- `Remember, then, how thou hast received, and heard, and be keeping, and reform: if, then, thou mayest not watch, I will come upon thee as a thief, and thou mayest not know what hour I will come upon thee. Rev. 3:3
