- `And thou hast said unto them: Thus said Jehovah, If ye do not hearken unto Me, to walk in My law, that I set before you, Jer. 26:4
- For this is the covenant that I make, With the house of Israel, after those days, An affirmation of Jehovah, I have given My law in their inward part, And on their heart I do write it, And I have been to them for God, And they are to me for a people. Jer. 31:33
- And I take the purchase-book, the sealed one, according to law and custom, and the open one. Jer. 32:11

- Mischief on mischief cometh, and report is on report, And they have sought a vision from a prophet, And law doth perish from the priest, And counsel from the elders, Ezek. 7:26
- Its priests have wronged My law, And they pollute My holy things, Between holy and common they have not made separation, And between the unclean and the clean they have not made known, And from my sabbaths they have hidden their eyes, And I am pierced in their midst. Ezek. 22:26
- This is a law of the house: on the top of the mountain, all its border all round about is most holy; lo, this is a law of the house. Ezek. 43:12
- And concerning controversy, they stand up for judgment; with My judgments they judge it; and My law and My statutes in all My appointed places they keep; and My sabbaths they sanctify. Ezek. 44:24
- Then these men are saying, `We do not find against this Daniel any cause of complaint, except we have found it against him in the law of his God.' Dan. 6:5
- Now, O king, thou dost establish the interdict, and sign the writing, that it is not to be changed, as a law of Media and Persia, that doth not pass away.' Dan. 6:8
- then they have come near, yea, they are saying before the king concerning the king's interdict: `Hast thou not signed an interdict, that any man who seeketh from any god and man until thirty days, save of thee, O king, is cast into a den of lions?' Answered hath the king, and said, `The thing is certain as a law of Media and Persia, that doth not pass away.' Dan. 6:12
- Then these men have assembled near the king, and are saying to the king, `know, O king, that the law of Media and Persia is: That any interdict and statute that the king doth establish is not to be changed.' Dan. 6:15
- and words as an adversary of the Most High it doth speak, and the saints of the Most High it doth wear out, and it hopeth to change seasons and law; and they are given into its hand, till a time, and times, and a division of a time. Dan. 7:25
- and all Israel have transgressed Thy law, to turn aside so as not to hearken to Thy voice; and poured on us is the execration, and the oath, that is written in the law of Moses, servant of God, because we have sinned against Him. Dan. 9:11
- as it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil hath come upon us, and we have not appeased the face of Jehovah our God to turn back from our iniquities, and to act wisely in Thy truth. Dan. 9:13
- Cut off have been My people for lack of knowledge, Because thou knowledge hast rejected, I reject thee from being priest to Me, And thou forgettest the law of thy God, I forget thy sons, I also! Hos. 4:6
- `Unto thy mouth -- a trumpet, As an eagle against the house of Jehovah, Because they transgressed My covenant, And against My law they have rebelled. Hos. 8:1
- I write for him numerous things of My law, As a strange thing they have been reckoned. Hos. 8:12
- Thus said Jehovah: For three transgressions of Judah, And for four, I do not reserve it, Because of their loathing the law of Jehovah, And His statutes they have not kept, And their lies do cause them to err, After which their fathers did walk, Amos 2:4
- And gone have many nations and said, Come and we go up to the mount of Jehovah, And unto the house of the God of Jacob, And He doth teach us of His ways, And we do walk in His paths, For from Zion doth go forth a law, And a word of Jehovah from Jerusalem. Mic. 4:2
- Therefore doth law cease, And judgment doth not go forth for ever, For the wicked is compassing the righteous, Therefore wrong judgment goeth forth. Hab. 1:4
- Her prophets unstable -- men of treachery, Her priests have polluted the sanctuary, They have violated the law. Zeph. 3:4
- Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: `Ask, I pray thee, the priests of the law, saying: Hag. 2:11
- And their heart they have made adamant, Against hearing the law, and the words, That Jehovah of Hosts sent by His Spirit, By the hand of the former prophets, And their is great wrath from Jehovah of Hosts. Zech. 7:12
- The law of truth hath been in his mouth, And perverseness hath not been found in his lips, In peace and in uprightness he walked with Me, And many he brought back from iniquity. Mal. 2:6
- For the lips of a priest preserve knowledge, And law they do seek from his mouth, For a messenger of Jehovah of Hosts he is. Mal. 2:7

- `Do not suppose that I came to throw down the law or the prophets -- I did not come to throw down, but to fulfill; Mt. 5:17

- who received the law by arrangement of messengers, and did not keep it.' Acts 7:53

- and a certain one, Ananias, a pious man according to the law, being testified to by all the Jews dwelling there, Acts 22:12
- then Paul said unto him, `God is about to smite thee, thou whitewashed wall, and thou -- thou dost sit judging me according to the law, and, violating law, dost order me to be smitten!' Acts 23:3
- whom I found accused concerning questions of their law, and having no accusation worthy of death or bonds; Acts 23:29

- for as many as without law did sin, without law also shall perish, and as many as did sin in law, through law shall be judged, Rom. 2:12
- for not the hearers of the law are righteous before God, but the doers of the law shall be declared righteous: -- Rom. 2:13
- For, when nations that have not a law, by nature may do the things of the law, these not having a law -- to themselves are a law; Rom. 2:14
- who do shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also witnessing with them, and between one another the thoughts accusing or else defending, Rom. 2:15

- and the uncircumcision, by nature, fulfilling the law, shall judge thee who, through letter and circumcision, art a transgressor of law. Rom. 2:27
- And we have known that as many things as the law saith, to those in the law it doth speak, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may come under judgment to God; Rom. 3:19
- wherefore by works of law shall no flesh be declared righteous before Him, for through law is a knowledge of sin. Rom. 3:20
- And now apart from law hath the righteousness of God been manifested, testified to by the law and the prophets, Rom. 3:21
- Where then is the boasting? it was excluded; by what law? of works? no, but by a law of faith: Rom. 3:27
- therefore do we reckon a man to be declared righteous by faith, apart from works of law. Rom. 3:28
- Law then do we make useless through the faith? let it not be! yea, we do establish law. Rom. 3:31
- For not through law is the promise to Abraham, or to his seed, of his being heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith; Rom. 4:13
- for if they who are of law are heirs, the faith hath been made void, and the promise hath been made useless; Rom. 4:14
- for the law doth work wrath; for where law is not, neither is transgression. Rom. 4:15
- Because of this it is of faith, that it may be according to grace, for the promise being sure to all the seed, not to that which is of the law only, but also to that which is of the faith of Abraham, Rom. 4:16
- for till law sin was in the world: and sin is not reckoned when there is not law; Rom. 5:13
- And law came in, that the offence might abound, and where the sin did abound, the grace did overabound, Rom. 5:20

- so, then, the husband being alive, an adulteress she shall be called if she may become another man's; and if the husband may die, she is free from the law, so as not to be an adulteress, having become another man's. Rom. 7:3
- So that, my brethren, ye also were made dead to the law through the body of the Christ, for your becoming another's, who out of the dead was raised up, that we might bear fruit to God; Rom. 7:4
- for when we were in the flesh, the passions of the sins, that are through the law, were working in our members, to bear fruit to the death; Rom. 7:5
- and now we have ceased from the law, that being dead in which we were held, so that we may serve in newness of spirit, and not in oldness of letter. Rom. 7:6
- What, then, shall we say? the law is sin? let it not be! but the sin I did not know except through law, for also the covetousness I had not known if the law had not said: `Thou shalt not covet;' Rom. 7:7
- and the sin having received an opportunity, through the command, did work in me all covetousness -- for apart from law sin is dead. Rom. 7:8
- And I was alive apart from law once, and the command having come, the sin revived, and I died; Rom. 7:9
- so that the law, indeed, is holy, and the command holy, and righteous, and good. Rom. 7:12
- for we have known that the law is spiritual, and I am fleshly, sold by the sin; Rom. 7:14
- And if what I do not will, this I do, I consent to the law that it is good, Rom. 7:16
- I find, then, the law, that when I desire to do what is right, with me the evil is present, Rom. 7:21
- for I delight in the law of God according to the inward man, Rom. 7:22
- and I behold another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of the sin that is in my members. Rom. 7:23

- for the law of the Spirit of the life in Christ Jesus did set me free from the law of the sin and of the death; Rom. 8:2
- for what the law was not able to do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, His own Son having sent in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, did condemn the sin in the flesh, Rom. 8:3
- that the righteousness of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Rom. 8:4
- because the mind of the flesh is enmity to God, for to the law of God it doth not subject itself, Rom. 8:7

- wherefore? because -- not by faith, but as by works of law; for they did stumble at the stone of stumbling, Rom. 9:32
- For Christ is an end of law for righteousness to every one who is believing, Rom. 10:4
- for Moses doth describe the righteousness that is of the law, that, `The man who did them shall live in them,' Rom. 10:5
- To no one owe anything, except to love one another; for he who is loving the other -- law he hath fulfilled, Rom. 13:8
- the love to the neighbor doth work no ill; the love, therefore, is the fulness of law. Rom. 13:10
- A wife hath been bound by law as long time as her husband may live, and if her husband may sleep, she is free to be married to whom she will -- only in the Lord; 1 Cor. 7:39
- According to man do I speak these things? or doth not also the law say these things? 1 Cor. 9:8
- for in the law of Moses it hath been written, `thou shalt not muzzle an ox treading out corn;' for the oxen doth God care? 1 Cor. 9:9
- and I became to the Jews as a Jew, that Jews I might gain; to those under law as under law, that those under law I might gain; 1 Cor. 9:20
- to those without law, as without law -- (not being without law to God, but within law to Christ) -- that I might gain those without law; 1 Cor. 9:21
- in the law it hath been written, that, `With other tongues and with other lips I will speak to this people, and not even so will they hear Me, saith the Lord;' 1 Cor. 14:21
- Your women in the assemblies let them be silent, for it hath not been permitted to them to speak, but to be subject, as also the law saith; 1 Cor. 14:34
- and the sting of the death is the sin, and the power of the sin the law; 1 Cor. 15:56
- having known also that a man is not declared righteous by works of law, if not through the faith of Jesus Christ, also we in Christ Jesus did believe, that we might be declared righteous by the faith of Christ, and not by works of law, wherefore declared righteous by works of law shall be no flesh.'
