THE HOLY BIBLE Authorized King James

Ezekiel (Author Ezekiel)

1:4And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

1:5Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

1:6And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

1:7And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

1:8And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

1:9Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

1:10As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

1:11Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

1:12And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.

1:13As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

1:14And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

8:2Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber.

8:3And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.

8:4And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.

8:5Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.

8:6He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.

8:7And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.

8:8Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.

8:9And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.

8:10So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.

8:11And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.

8:12Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.

8:13He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.

8:14Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.

11:24Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

11:25Then I spake unto them of the captivity all the things that the LORD had shewed me.

37:1The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

37:2And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

37:3And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

37:4Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

37:5Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

37:6And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

37:7So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

37:8And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

37:9Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

37:10So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
