15:7And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.
15:8And he said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?
15:9And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
15:10And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.
15:11And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.
15:12And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
15:13And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
15:14And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
15:15And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
15:16But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
15:17And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
15:18In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
17:2And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
17:3And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
17:4As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
17:5Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
17:6And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
17:7And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
17:8And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
17:9And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
17:10This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
17:11And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
17:12And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
17:13He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
17:14And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.
