5:1Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
5:2Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
5:3My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
5:4For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5:5The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
5:6Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
5:7But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
5:8Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
5:9For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
5:10Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
5:11But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
5:12For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
7:1O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
7:2Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
7:3O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
7:4If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
7:5Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
7:6Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
7:7So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
7:8The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
7:9Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
7:10My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
7:11God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
7:12If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
7:13He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
7:14Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
7:15He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
7:16His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
7:17I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
26:1Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.
26:2Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
26:3For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
26:4I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
26:5I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
26:6I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:
26:7That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
26:8LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
26:9Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
26:10In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
26:11But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.
26:12My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
61:1Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
61:2From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
61:3For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
61:4I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
61:5For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
61:6Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
61:7He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
61:8So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
63:1O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
63:2To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
63:3Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
63:4Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
63:5My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
63:6When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
63:7Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
63:8My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
63:9But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
63:10They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
63:11But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
69:1Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
69:2I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
69:3I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
69:4They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
69:5O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.
69:6Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.
69:7Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.
69:8I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.
69:9For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
69:10When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.
69:11I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.
69:12They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
69:13But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
69:14Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
69:15Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.
69:16Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.
69:17And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.
69:18Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.
69:19Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.
69:20Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
69:21They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
69:22Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.
69:23Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.
69:24Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.
69:25Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.
69:26For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.
69:27Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.
69:28Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
69:29But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.
69:30I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
69:31This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
69:32The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.
69:33For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.
69:34Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.
69:35For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.
69:36The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.
70:1Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.
70:2Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
70:3Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.
70:4Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
70:5But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.
86:1Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
86:2Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
86:3Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
86:4Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
86:5For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
86:6Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
86:7In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
86:8Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
86:9All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
86:10For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.
86:11Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
86:12I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
86:13For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
86:14O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.
86:15But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
86:16O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
86:17Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
143:1Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.
143:2And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
143:3For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.
143:4Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.
143:5I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.
143:6I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
143:7Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
143:8Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
143:9Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
143:10Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
143:11Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.
143:12And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
