1:6-- And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.

1:7And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Rodanim.

1:8The sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim, Phut and Canaan.

1:9-- And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

1:10And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be mighty on the earth.

1:11-- And Mizraim begot the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,

1:12and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim out of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphtorim.

1:13-- And Canaan begot Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,

1:14and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

1:15and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

1:16and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

1:17The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

1:18-- And Arphaxad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.

1:19And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

1:20And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

1:21and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,

1:22and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

1:23and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were sons of Joktan.

1:24Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

1:25Eber, Peleg, Reu,

1:26Serug, Nahor, Terah,

1:27Abram: the same is Abraham.

1:28The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.

1:29These are their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam;

1:30Mishma and Dumah; Massa, Hadad, and Tema;

1:31Jetur, Naphish, and Kedmah: those are the sons of Ishmael.

1:32-- And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.

1:33And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were sons of Keturah.

1:34And Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

1:35The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

1:36-- The sons of Eliphaz: Teman and Omar, Zephi and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

1:37The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

1:38And the sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

1:39-- And the sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. And Lotan's sister, Timna.

1:40-- The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. -- And the sons of Zibeon: Ajah and Anah.

1:41-- The sons of Anah: Dishon. -- And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Eshban, and Jithran, and Cheran.

1:42-- The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Jaakan. -- The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.

1:43And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned a king over the children of Israel: -- Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

1:44And Bela died; and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

1:45And Jobab died; and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

1:46And Husham died; and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the fields of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

1:47And Hadad died; and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

1:48And Samlah died; and Saul of Rehoboth on the river reigned in his stead.

1:49And Saul died; and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

1:50And Baal-hanan died; and Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.

1:51And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,

1:52chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,

1:53chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,

1:54chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.

2:1These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi and Judah, Issachar and Zebulun,

2:2Dan, Joseph and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad and Asher.

2:3The sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born to him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of Jehovah; and he slew him.

2:4And Tamar his daughter-in-law bore him Pherez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

2:12and Boaz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jesse;

2:13and Jesse begot his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third,

2:14Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

2:15Ozem the sixth, David the seventh;

2:16and their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.

2:17And Abigail bore Amasa; and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.

2:18And Caleb the son of Hezron had children by Azubah his wife, and by Jerioth: her sons are these: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

2:19And Azubah died, and Caleb took him Ephrath, and she bore him Hur.

2:20And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot Bezaleel.

2:21And afterwards Hezron went to the daughter of Machir, the father of Gilead, and he took her when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub.

2:22And Segub begot Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead;

2:23and Geshur and Aram took the villages of Jair from them, with Kenath and its dependent towns, sixty cities. All these were sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

2:24And after the death of Hezron in Caleb-Ephratah, Abijah, Hezron's wife, bore him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa.

2:25And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were: Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, of Ahijah.

2:26And Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

2:27And the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

2:28And the sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.

2:29And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid.

2:30And the sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim; and Seled died without sons.

2:31And the sons of Appaim: Jishi; and the sons of Jishi: Sheshan; and the sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.

2:32And the sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai: Jether and Jonathan; and Jether died without sons.

2:33And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

2:34And Sheshan had no sons, but daughters; and Sheshan had an Egyptian servant, whose name was Jarha;

2:35and Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant as wife, and she bore him Attai.

2:36And Attai begot Nathan, and Nathan begot Zabad,

2:37and Zabad begot Ephlal, and Ephlal begot Obed,

2:38and Obed begot Jehu, and Jehu begot Azariah,

2:39and Azariah begot Helez, and Helez begot Elasah,

2:40and Elasah begot Sismai, and Sismai begot Shallum,

2:41and Shallum begot Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begot Elishama.

2:42And the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

2:43And the sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.

2:44And Shema begot Raham, the father of Jorkeam. And Rekem begot Shammai;

2:45and the son of Shammai was Maon; and Maon was the father of Beth-zur.

2:46And Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begot Gazez.

2:47And the sons of Jehdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

2:48Maachah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah;

2:49and she bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbena and the father of Gibea. And the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.

2:50These are the sons of Caleb. The sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah: Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim,

2:51Salma the father of Bethlehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader.

2:52And Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim had sons: Haroeh, Hazi-Hammenuhoth.

2:53And the families of Kirjath-jearim were the Jithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zoreathites and the Eshtaolites.

2:54The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, and the Netophathites. Atroth-Beth-Joab, and the Hazi-Hammana-hethites, the Zorites;

2:55and the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez: the Tireathites, the Shimeathites, the Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.

3:1And these are the sons of David, who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jizreelitess; the second, Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess;

3:2the third, Absalom the son of Maachah, daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;

3:3the fifth, Shephatiah of Abital; the sixth, Ithream, of Eglah his wife:

3:4six were born to him in Hebron. And there he reigned seven years and six months. And in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years.

3:5And these were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bath-shua the daughter of Ammiel;

3:6and Ibhar, and Elishama, and Eliphelet,

3:9all were sons of David, besides the sons of the concubines; and Tamar was their sister.

3:13Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son,

3:15And the sons of Josiah: the firstborn Johanan, the second Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah, the fourth Shallum.

3:16And the sons of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, Zedekiah his son.

3:17And the sons of Jeconiah: Assir; Salathiel his son,

3:18Malchiram also, and Pedaiah, and Shenazzar, Jecamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.

3:19And the sons of Pedaiah were Zerubbabel and Shimei. And the sons of Zerubbabel: Meshullam and Hananiah, and Shelomith their sister,

3:20and Hashubah, and Ohel, and Berechiah, and Hasadiah, and Jushab-hesed, five.

3:21And the sons of Hananiah: Pelatiah and Isaiah; the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, the sons of Shechaniah.

3:22And the sons of Shechaniah: Shemaiah; and the sons of Shemaiah: Hattush, and Jigeal, and Bariah, and Neariah, and Shaphat, six.

3:23And the sons of Neariah: Elioenai, and Hezekiah, and Azrikam, three.

3:24And the sons of Elioenai: Hodaviah, and Eliashib, and Pelaiah, and Akkub, and Johanan, and Delaiah, and Anani, seven.
