THE HOLY BIBLE Authorized King James

Exodus (Author Moses)

13:2Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

13:12That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the LORD'S.

22:29Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.

22:30Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep: seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it me.

23:15Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

25:1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

25:2Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

25:3And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,

25:4And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,

25:5And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,

25:6Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense,

25:7Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.

25:8And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

34:20But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.

35:4And Moses spake unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying,

35:5Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and brass,

35:6And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,

35:7And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,

35:8And oil for the light, and spices for anointing oil, and for the sweet incense,

35:9And onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod, and for the breastplate.

35:10And every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded;

35:11The tabernacle, his tent, and his covering, his taches, and his boards, his bars, his pillars, and his sockets,

35:12The ark, and the staves thereof, with the mercy seat, and the vail of the covering,

35:13The table, and his staves, and all his vessels, and the shewbread,

35:14The candlestick also for the light, and his furniture, and his lamps, with the oil for the light,

35:15And the incense altar, and his staves, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the door at the entering in of the tabernacle,

35:16The altar of burnt offering, with his brasen grate, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his foot,

35:17The hangings of the court, his pillars, and their sockets, and the hanging for the door of the court,

35:18The pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court, and their cords,

35:19The cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office.

35:20And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

35:21And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD'S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.

35:22And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.

35:23And every man, with whom was found blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, and red skins of rams, and badgers' skins, brought them.

35:24Every one that did offer an offering of silver and brass brought the LORD'S offering: and every man, with whom was found shittim wood for any work of the service, brought it.

35:25And all the women that were wise hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, both of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine linen.

35:26And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair.

35:27And the rulers brought onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate;

35:28And spice, and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.

35:29The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

36:3And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.

36:4And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made;

36:5And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make.

36:6And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.

38:8And he made the laver of brass, and the foot of it of brass, of the lookingglasses of the women assembling, which assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Leviticus (Author Moses)

19:5And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will.

Numbers (Author Moses)

35:8And the cities which ye shall give shall be of the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many ye shall give many; but from them that have few ye shall give few: every one shall give of his cities unto the Levites according to his inheritance which he inheriteth.

Deuteronomy (Author Moses)

12:11Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:

12:12And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.

12:17Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand:

12:18But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.

12:19Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon the earth.

14:27And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.

14:28At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:

14:29And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.

15:7If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

15:8But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

15:9Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

15:10Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

15:11For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

15:12And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.

15:13And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:

15:14Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.

15:15And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

15:16And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;

15:17Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.

15:18It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.

16:10And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

16:17Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.

18:1The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.

18:2Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.

18:3And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.

18:4The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.

18:5For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.

18:6And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the LORD shall choose;

18:7Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD.

18:8They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.

24:19When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.

24:20When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

24:21When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

24:22And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.

2 Samuel (Author Compiled by Isaiah from records of Samuel, David, Nathan, and Gad.)

24:24And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

28:10Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.

28:20And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

29:5The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?

1:3Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.

1:4And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.

132:1LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:

132:2How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

132:3Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

132:4I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

132:5Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

11:24There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.

11:25The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

13:7There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.

14:21He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

19:6Many will intreat the favour of the prince: and every man is a friend to him that giveth gifts.

19:17He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

21:26He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

22:9He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

28:27He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

31:20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

Matthew (Author Matthew)

5:42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

6:1Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

6:2Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6:3But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

6:4That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

19:21Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

19:22But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

25:34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

25:35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

25:36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

25:37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

25:38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

25:39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

25:40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Luke (Author Luke)

3:10And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?

3:11He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.

6:38Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

11:41But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

12:33Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

12:34For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

16:9And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

Acts (Author Luke)

Romans (Author Paul)

12:8Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

12:13Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

15:27It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

1 Corinthians (Author Paul)

13:3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

16:1Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

16:2Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

16:3And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

2 Corinthians (Author Paul)

8:7Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

8:8I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

8:9For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

8:11Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

8:12For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

8:13For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:

8:14But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:

8:15As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.

8:24Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.

9:6But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

9:7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

9:8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

9:9(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.

9:10Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

9:11Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

9:12For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;

9:13Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;

Ephesians (Author Paul)

4:28Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

1 Timothy (Author Paul)

5:16If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.

6:17Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

6:18That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

6:19Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Hebrews (Author Paul)

6:10For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

13:16But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

1 John (Author John)

3:17But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

3:18My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
