20:7Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
19:12And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
22:32Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you,
24:10And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;
24:11And the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the name of the LORD, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)
24:12And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.
24:13And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
24:14Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
24:15And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.
24:16And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.
5:11Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
12:14Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.
19:22Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.
32:19And they spake against the God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth, which were the work of the hands of man.
9:16If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
9:17For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause.
9:34Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me:
9:35Then would I speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me.
10:2I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.
10:3Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?
10:4Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?
10:5Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as man's days,
10:6That thou enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest after my sin?
10:7Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of thine hand.
13:7Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?
13:8Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
13:9Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
13:25Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
13:26For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
13:27Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and lookest narrowly unto all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet.
15:13That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?
15:25For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty.
15:26He runneth upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:
16:9He teareth me in his wrath, who hateth me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth; mine enemy sharpeneth his eyes upon me.
16:11God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.
16:14He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon me like a giant.
19:6Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.
19:7Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.
19:21Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.
19:22Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
21:13They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
21:14Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
22:12Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
22:13And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?
22:14Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.
22:17Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?
30:21Thou art become cruel to me: with thy strong hand thou opposest thyself against me.
33:10Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,
33:11He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.
34:5For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.
34:6Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.
34:9For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
34:16If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.
34:17Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?
34:18Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
34:19How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
34:37For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
37:20Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.
40:2Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.
5:1Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
5:2Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
10:11He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.
10:13Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.
50:21These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
73:9They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
73:11And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
74:18Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.
78:19Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?
78:20Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?
94:7Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
139:20For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
30:7Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
30:8Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
30:9Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
8:21And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.
8:22And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.
29:15Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
29:16Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
36:15Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
36:18Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
36:20Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?
36:21But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.
37:10Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God, in whom thou trustest, deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.
37:23Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.
40:27Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
45:9Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
52:5Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.
65:7Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
4:10Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.
17:15Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the LORD? let it come now.
20:7O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.
23:10For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.
8:12Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.
9:9Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not.
18:25Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
20:27Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.
33:17Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
33:18When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
33:19But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
33:20Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.
35:12And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.
35:13Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.
7:25And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
11:36And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
11:37Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
7:13Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
1:12And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.
5:3Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
5:4I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
3:13Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
3:14Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
10:25It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
12:31Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
12:32And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
15:19For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
3:29But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
3:30Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
7:21For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
7:22Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
7:23All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
12:10And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
19:7The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
2:24For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
12:3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
3:8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
2:4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
3:2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
10:29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
2:7Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
3:10Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
5:12But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
3:3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
3:4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
13:1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
13:6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
16:9And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
16:11And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
16:21And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
17:3So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
