THE HOLY BIBLE Authorized King James

Exodus (Author Moses)

23:1Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

23:2Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

23:3Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.

23:6Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.

23:7Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

23:8And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

Leviticus (Author Moses)

19:13Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

19:14Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.

19:15Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

Deuteronomy (Author Moses)

16:18Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.

16:19Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

16:20That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

25:1If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

25:2And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.

25:3Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

25:4Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

Ezra (Author Ezra)

7:26And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

72:1Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.

72:2He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

82:2How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

82:3Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

82:4Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

Proverbs (Author Solomon)

17:15He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.

17:26Also to punish the just is not good, nor to strike princes for equity.

18:5It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

18:17He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.

20:8A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.

22:27If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?

24:23These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

29:26Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from the LORD.

3:17I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

5:8If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.

7:7Surely oppression maketh a wise man mad; and a gift destroyeth the heart.

Isaiah (Author Isaiah)

1:17Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

56:1Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

59:14And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

59:15Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

Jeremiah (Author Jeremiah)

22:1Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,

22:3Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

22:4For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.

5:12For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.
