4:19How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth?
32:8But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
31:5Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.
20:27The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
1:8All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.
3:21Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
12:7Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
26:9With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
12:1The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
4:4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
10:28And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
26:41Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
14:38Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
22:40And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
23:46And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
24:39Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
3:3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
3:4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
3:5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
3:6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
3:7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
3:8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
4:24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
7:59And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
1:9For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
2:29But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
7:14For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
7:15For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
7:16If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
7:17Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
7:18For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
7:19For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
7:20Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
7:21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
7:22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
7:23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
7:24O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
7:25I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
2:11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
6:20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
7:34There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
14:14For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
4:6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
4:7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
4:16For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
5:1For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
5:2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
5:3If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
5:4For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
5:5Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
5:6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
5:7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
5:8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
5:9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
3:16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
4:4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5:23And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
4:12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
2:26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
